Hi,
i have a question.
Is it possible to flash a german software on a US S7 Edge ?
I downloaded odin and german firmware and just try to flash, but it failed (Secure Check FAIL: PIT). Is there a way to get this work? or is the hardware different?
If thats not possible i would like to add german language.
Sincerely
Ok. This Sounds bad. Is your phone still working? Anyway. A definite NO! VZW S7 Edge has a Snapdragon SoC. The German variant has an Exynos SoC.

1. Is it okay if i just dont root the device sm-n900k and just flash the sm-n9005 firmware from sammobile? I just want to try and change firmware because i can't update the version, still stucked at 4.4.2 having some problems with signal, korean apps and the shutter sound of the camera.
Thank you
Personally, I would not try it as it may brick the phone. The 900k uses a Samsung Exynos processor and the n9005 uses a Qualcomm.

Are there any other site except sammobile that offers firmware? I just want to update my phone to lollipop version but i am also scared to unlock the bootloader because i cant find a guide and btw im not sure if the bootloader is locked or maybe i just can't find a compatible custom recovery for my phone
Traditionally Korean model has had slightly different hardware making them incompatible with international variants (TV antenna for example on the S1/S2). However, at least from forum posts here N9005 custom ROM should work fine, as long as you keep your old modem.
Although, there should be an official 5.0.1 ROM around with a GOF2 ending, considering the existence of a Lollipop bootloader for it. Have you tried just plugging it into Kies and check for update?
(If you want to give it a shot, here is the baseband + bootloader: https://mega.nz/#F!0MNyVboS!XpjPYizNyY7LPZdsepyTFw . Flash this then a 5.0 custom ROM and you should be good to go)
@audit13 N900K is Snapdragon. Exynos doesn't have LTE, but all Korean model has LTE (different bands for different networks though)
@thebulletfromhell, I am not familiar with the n900k and I based my information on the link in my post above yours. I looked at several site and they specifically mention the Exynos. This one also mentions LTE: http://welectronics.com/gsm/Samsung/SAMSUNG-SM-N900K-GALAXY-NOTE-3-4G-LTE-BLACK.HTML
I know you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Thank you for the information.
I saw that too, but it was the only site that mentioned it, so I looked further. Info on Korean models are pretty rare in English, as the hardware for the most part is incompatible with Network Bands in the English speaking part of the world, making grey import iffy, and thus no reason to write about them.
i bought an S8 in Cancun it has the telcel splash screen it looks cheap also know its a g950f can i just download any g950f rom and flash it?
i dont like it cause when i recover it it auto starts in spanish i live in the US and want it in english not sure which rom to use if i can.
any pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. i already have odin and drivers for the phone. any unbranded english rom would be great.
I would first try to check if it's a Snapdragon or Exynos model. Usually Mexico will carry the Exynos and not the Snapdragon model, this will help to see what (if any) unlocked firmware you can use.
Hi,
I bought an unlocked Galaxy S8 in USA for my dad who speaks only Polish. Turns out, the Polish language is only partially supported: after switching the language in Settings some icons are still displayed in English and system messages are not translated.
Is there an easy way to install a multinational ROM that has full Polish language support? I have been reading about using Odin with an official Samsung firmware, but am still unsure if I can use a CSC for a European version of S8 against the US S8 that I have, without triggering warnings and security violations.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I've been wanting to do something like this too so I can get carrier wifi calling on my US S8, but after some extensive digging, it seems that if you try and flash a rom or csc for an exynos device on to a snapdragon phone it will end up being an expensive paperweight. perhaps you could somehow get hold of just a language pack, but I wouldn't know if that could be done, sorry. Just don't flash a G950F rom on a G950U/1 phone!
Hello folks,
recently my uncle bought a Galaxy S7 Edge G935A via ebay. Since we live in Germany I was sure to get a G935F firmware on it. Well it seems that I'm wrong.
First I downloaded G935F 8.0 and tried to flash with Odin but it failed with 256SHA failure. Afterwards I found out about the Prince Comsy Odin to "bypass" this error. Well, luckly, I haven't updated it.
After reading further this might be a At&T device and that At&T branded phones are only updated via at&t itself so to try out with the bypass might have bricked the phone. (the distributor seems to be placed in China but he is not answering anything anymore) ,
Then I found this one Teamdroid Oreo for G935A and read the article thoroughly. The pictures clearly show a baseband of XXX UCU4CRE4 while mine shows G935AUCS4BQC2.
Right now Im on security patch from march 1st 2017. The device itself and smart switch says it is up to date.
So my question now. What to do? Can I just flash the G935F onto the device with the Prince Comsy Odin, or can I flash the UCU4CRE4, or am I just unlucky and we have to take the bite and leave the device as it is?
Thanks in advance
//E: out of curiousity: Why is there no such device as G935A listed @ sammobile site?
//E2: so I tried to flash the UCU4CRE4 with "normal" odin and I'm receiving the error emmc_appsboot.mbn.lz4 failed and on device it says unsupported dev_type ---> issue fixed with newest Odin (13.1) --> flashed it successfully...maybe it helps somebody
The G935A is a snapdragon variant, therefore G935F firmware would never work because the G935F is the exynos variant. They have different hardware and are fundamentally different.
It looks like you were able to get upgraded to Oreo (CRE4), that's great! you should be set as long as everything is working right. You won't ever get OTA updates though, AT&T devices must have an AT&T SIM card installed in order to recieve them. If I was you I'd just check back here on XDA for updates every few months.
If you don't want the AT&T firmware at all, you could flash the G935U firmware instead, which is the unlocked firmware for the USA Snapdragon variant. It's easy if you use the princecomsy Odin. Not sure if the unlocked variant has Oreo yet, though, so you may be better off just sticking with what you've got.
I want to flash Indian firmware on my Samsung S7 Edge SM-G935F (Snapdragon Varient). So if anyone can help me, i would really appreciate that.
I have attached below the link of the screenshots from the Phone Info App.

Thanks!
There's something wrong with your phone. First off, it says 935F, but 935F means it's Exynos. Then it says hero2ltetmo, which is tmobile, so thay means it should have been 935T, which is tmobile snapdragon.
At the bottom it says the CSC is 935T, so it's a Tmo snapdragon. Indian firmware is made for Exynos. This means you can't use Indian firmware on it because it won't work. Different CPU.

Damn!!
So can tell me about a stock rom for this phone in which i can use the Indian sim cards? Because when i reset the phone, it installs some bloatware Facebook and all that. So i wanna fix that by flashing the stock rom.
Thanks!
I guess no one is ready to solve my issue. So thank you for that!
Cheers to this awesome community!
