Just got my black Friday Interntaional S7 edge! I was about to plug it in, and realized it comes with a Travel charger and then an adapter to plug into a standard US outlet. Do i have to use that to charge it or can I just use the regular Samsung charger from my Verizon S7 edge?
Here is the listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/222148540699
Thanks!
Just make sure that the input and output values, and voltage are the same and it should be ok. The details are in the text printed on the charging blocks.

Hi all
I bought a Nexus 10 in Walmart, but i will use it in Europe, so my question is, does a cheap US to EU AC Power Plug Travel Converter Adapter do the trick?
Or must i buy a diferent charge adapter for the european 220v
Thanks in advance
No need for a converter. Only the pins are us standard.
I also bought from Walmart and use it in middle east with the charger that was in the box. No converter nothing. Just works.

If you look closely at the small print on the charging brick, it will tell you what type of input it will accept. I believe I remember the N10 charger saying 110-220V.

It's also worth noting that the power frequency is different between the Americas(60Hz) and Europe(50Hz).
While most power supplies will support 50/60Hz, Some older devices did not. As above, this is also written on the PSU.
Thanks all. Question solved.

I see your question is solved but I'd like to add a couple of points.
The supplied nexus 10 charger is rated 100-240v 50/60hz, so it's gonna work fine everywhere.
It's possible to remove the us plug from the charger, and luckily this common ac cable will plug just fine.
If one can't stand the look of this cable and want an European plug, it seems to me that the galaxy.tab 10.1 which is easily found on eBay is just the same charger except for the USB cable

I received a replacement AT&T Galaxy S4 earlier this week and it came with another power adapter and all accessories.
The power adapter that came with my first phone was made in China, and it doesn't get very warm when charging. It also seems to charge the battery kind of slow.
The power adapter that came with my replacement was made in Vietnam, and it gets pretty warm when charging. It also seems to charge the battery faster.
I checked the specs on both chargers and they're the same. Am I imagining things, or does the new one from Vietnam really charge faster and get warmer because of it?

In theory its possible, but unlikely. If your in the U.S. the max voltage your gonna be pulling is 110 volts (usually a tiny bit less)
More volts = more heat = faster charging time, but it would also be rougher on the battery. You could always bust out a multi-meter and take some readings
Is it white and says Samsung? The stock S4 charger is 1amp. It will charge super fast with the Note IIs 2amp charger.

The chargers were identical on the outside, except for what country they were made in. They are white S4 chargers.

You're thinking about amperage, not voltage. And the AC voltage won't have any effect on the phone anyway, because the charger converts that to 5V DC.
After reading several posts about fast charging I can't really find the answer to my question.
I have purchased a nexus 6p but it has a 2 pin charger so in the UK I am having to use a plug adapter.
I wonder if anyone else is doing this also and can confirm if you lose the fast charging or not or if it makes any difference at all ?
Happy New Year.
Ebay? Yeah I have too... Wont make a difference though.. Still quick charge.
Shouldn't make a difference, fast charging should work as intended!
Ok thanks for the answers. Are they confirmed though e.g do you both own a two pin charger with your nexus 6p and getting fast charge ? And yes eBay !!!
I have just been traveling in the uk and it worked fine to fast charge.

Does it come up on the screen that it's fast charging like on the S6 or not . Can't see any notification but not sure is one shows ?
What is the difference? The third pin in UK charger is just plastic, the only purpose of it is to "open" the other to holes in a socket. So 2 pin euro charger will be working the same.
It said and did fast charging

OK so charging with 2 pin Google charger into a UK adapter and no fast charger notification to be seen in fact it's gone down 1% whilst I am writing ?
Just ordered a UK official charger from Google. Let's see what happens.
It should say it on the lock screen.

The fast charge notification appears on the lock screen. Just above the finger print icon at the bottom it should either say 'Charging' for standard charging (ie when using an A to C cable), or 'Charging rapidly' for fast charging using a USB C charger and cable.

Thank you. I just found it. Lol. Never mind a spare charger is always handy
Admin please close this thread. Thanks for all the comments the notification of "charging rapidly" shows on the lock screen only whilst using a UK plug adapter from a 2 pin stock Google USB c charger.
When I got my S8+ yesterday the guy was telling me I could only use "1 piece" chargers and Sammy branded preferred. Claimed it was due to some shielding and fuse and that if I used another charger I could potentially harm the battery.
We went back today and the Mrs got the S8 and this guy said nothing ...
We have other fast chargers around the house from other phones that allow us to swap the usb cable part ... do you think it's ok to still use these w the new plug adapter that was in the box with them?

You should be fine. The phone may not charge as fast depending on the charger, but it certainly won't blow up (sorry, had to do it)
Sounds like nonsense to me, 'potentially' and 'harm' sound like salespeople talk. You should be fine.

That's bs. I still have the charger and cable from the V20 I had along with the ones from my last Note 7 and the electronics store I work at let me have the charger and cable from the LG G6 display we put out at work and I use that charger and cable in the car plugged into a small power inverter to charge it in the cat. They are all usb-c cables with adaptive fast charging blocks and all are 2 piece chargers. He was blowing smoke trying to sell you extra accessories.
Sent from my wickedly kewl Galaxy S8 using my fingers. Duh!!!
I'm using this currently. It's Bensun approved for charging the Nexus 6P and the USB C port on it is charging the S8 via fast charging now... I feel like a battery in 2017 should be fine?

Hey guys just yesterday I burnt my phones charging port while charging my phone.
Copper pins inside of cable we completely burnt and maybe the phones port pins were burnt too.
I have submitted my device and charger to Samsung Service Center and now I am waiting for their response.
I checked my Electricity socket and it was completely fine.
Prior to this incident I used to hear ticking sound whenever I used to move my phone while charging which I ignored thinking that it was some sort of system sound. But later I realized that it was coming from charging area as I used to hear it even if phone was shut down.
Is anyone facing such issue with charger? If so please replace the charger as it will probably turn into a nightmare.
Btw, I am using Exynos version. :good:
Oh, they are going to replace the motherboard if charging port is faulty, better ask for a new phone... Charging port isnt replaceable anymore, samsung became just like apple.

Yes, they are gonna change the motherboard. Why do you suggest asking for a new phone instead? Can I do that?:silly:
if you are using authentic charger and cable, this shld be alright.

Well, I would ask for a new one.

I had the same issue and called customer support and got replaced.
It took a while to process but I got the new phone.
Check on Samsung customer service page
Definitely try to have it replaced in stead of a motherboard change.
