i will be really grateful if you could help me in any way...
either if i need to delete the old root and how? and how to install a new root and where to get him...

Which version?
Is it T-Mobile or ATT? If so use my method. If it is one of the p5xxx versions, just get CWM and then Root through that.

Hi XDAians, I am new here, I need help. (I have experience of Android since Android 1.5, I am new on XDA)
I have Samsung Galaxy y GT-S5360 and I have rooted it using hnkotnis's SGY Toolkit.

Now I want to do something different. I rooted my old HTC Gingerbread phone with PC using USB with Root Exploits.
I used Root Exploits "psneuter", "Gingerbreak" & "Zergrush". None of them seem to work on Stock Gingerbread 2.3.6
I asked my friend Senior Member hnkotnis few days ago, he said he has exams. But now he has gone for a holiday vacation and his phone number is out of coverage area.
Please help me and give me WORKING root exploit. AND I don't want advices to use some Recovery zip.
My requirement is specific usb adb root exploit.
Thanks in advance for help.
waiting.............waiting...............waiting for help.
each phone has a different method of rooting - there is not always a one size fits all and not all phones can be rooted in the same way
you have already mentioned the common rooting tools
if there isnt a forum for the phone you want to root then its best to type into google how to root - xyz phone
I dont see the point in making an adb root for galaxy y when a simple update zip does the job

I want Root Exploit, not Rooting Software.
It seems you misunderstand me.
That Root Genius is a exe which is bundled with some Root Exploit. If you have that exploit or know how to extract it, please tell me.
And I know that USB Debugging thing. I have rooted more than 50 phones branded, chinese etc.
I dont need instructions of root. I want root exploit.
Looking to root this thing so I can uninstall some bloat and install Xposed. I realize that it's not the best tablet but it was cheap and I wanted a tablet. I've installed roms and rooted various devices in the past but that's about as far as my knowledge pertaining to this sort of thing goes. I have no idea if this is the proper place to post for this but if it's not then please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any help.

I recently purchased the Ematic EGQ780 Android Tablet with Android 4.4, and I'm also trying to find a way to "root" this device.

@andi1235 - We can successfully root our Ematic Android devices using the Kingo ROOT application for Windows. I learned about this tool from a post I found on Google+. Hope this tool will work for you, as it worked for me thus far.
Kingo ROOT
In running stock 4.4.4 n7 2012. Unlocked bootloader and rooted. Will the update break root.
See plenty of posts on how to root from flashing advance update but none on ota and if it will unroot. Thanks in advance.
Yes. Update replaces kernel and system, so root is lost.

Is there an easy way to do it? Preferably without the use of a computer. Had a hell of a time whenever i rooted my nexus. Shockingly my Motorola and sony devices are way easier to root.
Nexus root toolkit will make it easier

Following the update (I didn't OTA, I adb'd) I wasn't able to regain root without a computer, I tried. Here are my steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7/general/update-nexus-7-to-5-0-4-4-4-root-t2943726
I updated from 4.4.4, unlocked and rooted like you. I used CF-Auto-Root to gain root using my Mac, but Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit might be easier if you are on PC.
Title says it all.
I have rooted using the method described on this forum.
