I was trying to get my lg g2 d805 back to kitkat and the firmware update froze. It said it had failed and I unplugged. Now i can't turn the phone on and when I plug it to the computer it opens multiple drives that say i have to format before i use.
What do I do?
Maybe this helps.
If it doesn't work try one of the other guides. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63327417&postcount=4

I'm on a rooted I337 that has been factory reset and under normal boot originally told me that normal boot has failed and was stuck with downloading.... but now tells me to select recovery mode in Kies also Download mode is still accessible. Before the crash I was working with a towelrooted 4.4.2. The problem is that nothing I do allows my computer to recognize it, It tells me that the device has malfunctioned and can't be identified. I've changed usb ports and cords and uninstalled/reinstalled drivers. Kies and Odin don't recognize it, but when I took it to a phone repair shop they were able to push a file that changed the normal boot error to what it is now, he gave it back to me to mess with and I could fix it if I could connect to it. Any help with this would be amazing
Thanks in advance
My I337 just got soft bricked earlier today, I made changes to my build.prop file to make it appear to be a Nexus 5, and rebooted just fine. I initially made a backup of the stock build.prop, so I decided to revert back to the stock file. when I rebooted, it gets frozen after the samsung screen and vibrates on any button press. I can boot into download and recovery mode, but I am unable to access the device via adb or kies.
Hello. Few months ago I installed unofficial Cyanogenmod 11 on my E610. After updating baseband it worked perfectly. After some time I decided to restore my phone to the state after installing CM11. It worked no problem. Today I wanted to do the same, and after installing SuperSU and Texdroider DPI I rebooted my cellphone, and it stucks on the cyanogenmod boot logo. If I try to get to recovery mode it stucks on the LG logo instead of CM. Hard reset is not happening at all. I tried to connect my phone via LG User Support Tool and install kdz firmware, but no luck. Although when I connect my phone without the battery to my PC i hear the "ding" windows sound, and phone exists in device manager. It also creates some disc drive in my computer, but unfortunately it's empty. I think textdroider has changed the build.prop file, so the cyanogenmod is not able to start at all. Is there any possibility to get to the build.prop file and change it, so phone will start? Or maybe somehow I can reset my phone or reinstall firmware using my USB cable without entering usb debug or recovery mode? Thanks in advance for any idea :crying:
Put your phone in Emergency Download Mode : switch it off, hold volume down button while plugging USB cable (already connected to the PC).
Then use the Support Tool to go back to LG ROM

Click to collapse
in these cases emergency mode should work
removing battery sim sd etc... connect your phone to the pc throught us cable pressing vol- it automatically boot into download mode and you can easily use kdz.
make sure you have the last driver from lg websites else kdz wont find your phone, and set emergency option in kdz everything else it similar to a normal flash
So long story short I had to TOT back to stock and a OTA update bricked my phone, stuck at the LG logo, I tried to go back into download mode and download mode works but when I plug it in to my PC I get USB drivers failed to install error message so LGFLASH tools can not recognize it, I tried to reinstall the lg drivers, a different cable and even a different computer, still fails.
Any suggestions as to how I can save my G2 would be appreciated, I am using my old galaxy nexus and I do not have enough pockets for the number of batteries it takes to get through the day...might be slightly exaggerating
Just received the update via LG Bridge, but once it has finished to download (3.22gb), it says that the phone can't be updated and to try rebooting it.
Once I tried the same error popped up. Once it failed again, it prompted me to check for the errors in the update, which it found none.
i've tried to download the update again.
Stock branded LG G6, with some stock app uninstalled via adb.
I tried to factory reset to no avail.
First thing is defective usb port or cable to check.
I've solved using another computer. I still don't understand where the problem was.
Hi, I already tried changing USB port.
LG Bridge correctly allows me to perform backups, so I'm not sure this could be the problem.
I've found someone who had the same issue on Mac computers [*], however if I rename the .kdz file LG bridge won't let me go on with the update since it recognizes it as corrupted.

Hello guys and gals. So I got an odd one here. S8 Plus on ATT. When I connect the phone to my computer it will connect then disconnect over and over. Sometimes it doesn't connect at all. Sometimes it will say charging and then when I pull the USB plug out it will still say charging. When changing the USB mode in the phone UI it will reset itself back to charge only no matter what I try. When I put it into download mode or recovery it connects every time without issue. I can even flash a rom which I have multiple times.
After doing a full system wipe and firmware update via odin with nand erase checked I get the following errors: failed to mount /efs and I also get a failed to mount /data error. In one instance it finished flashing then rebooted into recovery, said installing update, then failed at 37%.
Things I have tried: several usb cables , different roms, different computers, replaced USB port with a brand new replacement, battery pull, flashing tmobile firmware (which resulted in bootloop).
Oh and also I have been able to get the computer to successfully recognize it as "Samsung Android ADB interface".
I seem to have better luck getting it to connect after a full wipe. But it still disconnects and goes back into its FU state after.
Attached is a picture of the errors I got in recovery.
Thanks all!
Sorry for the long post I suck at summarizing.
