So long story short I had to TOT back to stock and a OTA update bricked my phone, stuck at the LG logo, I tried to go back into download mode and download mode works but when I plug it in to my PC I get USB drivers failed to install error message so LGFLASH tools can not recognize it, I tried to reinstall the lg drivers, a different cable and even a different computer, still fails.
Any suggestions as to how I can save my G2 would be appreciated, I am using my old galaxy nexus and I do not have enough pockets for the number of batteries it takes to get through the day...might be slightly exaggerating

My son attempted a flash without reading through much.. he had the newest firmware and now it won't boot into anything but TWRP and what i think is download mode (it just shows the LG logo, but I do have adb access). The issue is in these modes, I can't get windows to recognize the device to be able to assign it to port number 41. I can manually pick a driver, but then it only shows up as that driver, not the phone on the devices location in Windows. .. So, the LGFlashtool doesn't recognize it and nothing works. I've even tried assigning it the LGE Android Platform USB Serial port driver, set to port 41 and it still won't work.
Any suggestions? Is there another method from the LGflashtool one detailed? Thank you for any advice! (this experience is enough punishment and a great lesson for my son to learn to READ and follow instructions).
This is for the AT&T model.
FIXED. Through multiple attempts and multiple threads, I ran into this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
I did it through TWRP Terminal. Upon rebooting, I'd see the LG logo super fast and then nothing.. I held down power for some time, then the up volume, plugged in and I HAD DOWNLOAD MODE! whew.
From here, all is well, it shows up on devices and I can push the factory firmware. -Yay for google, yay for XDA and all the resources these forums have pooled together!.
(thanks)
I lost recovery on my phone and when I try and boot my phone, it says "system software not authorized by att."
I'm trying to ODIN my phone back to stock but I can't see my phone when I open ODIN and put my phone in download mode. does anyone know of any fixes for this?
Try different USB port or different cable.
You might have to try a different computer. I can't for the life of me get my pc to recognize my device. But I have no problem on my laptop
Sent from my Nexus 5
Thanks guys. I found out that I had to restart my computer after installing the drivers and then it detected it with no problems!
Well. First things first. the root of the issue is probably a bad usb port i guess as it's very unstable it even sometimes reboots into download mode on its own when i plug my phone to charge or even gives a Not charging state until i replug it many times then it gives the normal charging (AC) so it's a really messy one.
that's the usual anyway i was rooted and flashed a lollipop rom normally then bugged some apps so i decided to reflash stock kitkat rom however like i said it's a bad usb connection so sometimes the flashing goes slowly and i have to replug the cable for it got smoothly again.
this time i noticed this at 15% and instead of staying in download mode stuck at that the phone rebooted and ofcourse this time only a black screen no download mode no recovery no nothing i guess a typical hard brick? this is my first time dealing with a hard brick so i didn't know what to do at all so i'm still figuring out stuff anyway i installed Qcomm drivers and checked the device manager it's the 9006 one not the 9008 and it shows many drives on my pc (windows 7 64-bit) but no partitions in windows xp 32-bit on another pc and on the laptop it gives no drives i think. i tried with SRK tools it says everything as it should but when it's done i unplug the cable then reboot however still shows many partitions and no download mode.
I don't use my phone alot however i don't own another one so i kinda need help fast please so if anyone has any ideas don't hesitate please.
Thanks in advance.:good:
Update: After following the linux method i now don't have a black screen only stuck on lg logo and still no download mode.
the phone isn't recognized by the pc at all not even 9006 or 9006
the recovery gets stuck at processing and it doesn't say fastboot either on the logo screen.

You must have flashed wrong version of the rom .
After trying the linux method, if you cant get into fastboot mode, recovery or not in download mode, then try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404
This requires you to open your phone so be cautious .
Thanks I followed that guide. Download mode after. Using the Windows tool instead of Linux then flash tool normally.
I was trying to get my lg g2 d805 back to kitkat and the firmware update froze. It said it had failed and I unplugged. Now i can't turn the phone on and when I plug it to the computer it opens multiple drives that say i have to format before i use.
What do I do?
Maybe this helps.
If it doesn't work try one of the other guides. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63327417&postcount=4
So as titled, I've been trying to flash a kdz file for this phone using flash tool, as the phone just goes through optimising apps and then just keeps rebooting over and over, did a factory reset and the same thing happens.
I've managed to put the phone in download mode but i never get a com word on the phone when connected on the pc, I've tried different pc's, different cables, used the correct drivers, any help or ideas would he greatly appreciated
