Snapchat doesn't work on any rooted android phones without some modifications through xposed.

Title says 4.2.2, not 4.4.2 like it should. OOPS!
I really want to root my Sprint Galaxy S4 4.4.2, but I can't seem to find an updated tutorial (and I'm afraid to use an older tutorial in case it bricks my phone...). I tried TowelRoot, but it doesn't seem to work on Sprint devices. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Are you using the SPH-L720 model from Sprint? I was able to use TowelRoot on mine with 4.4.2, however it may not work on the older OS.

Yup, I'm te hardware version is L720T.03 and everything is updated (I meant 4.4.2 in the previous post, OOPS!). I just checked for all the updates and it said none available... Are there any settings that I need to change before using TowelRoot? I'll try again.
edit: towelroot says "This phone isn't currently supported"
Just wondering if you guys would be better off discussing this in the sprint forum, you may get more relevant replies

great idea. thank you. I'll try that (new to the forum!)
L720 and L720T are different devices if I'm not mistaken...one is tri-band (hence the 'T') and the other isn't.
I have the L720 and rooted by Odin with Chainfires Auto-root.
Just putting that out there...don't want your device to get messed up (if possible) by using methods that may or may not be designed for that device.
Just my 2¢....fwiw

When sending text messages(SMS), to my contacts, They are ending up converting to a different format like if it were international friends. Because each time, the messages are being sent with a +1 international code before them.
Also because of this, my texts aren't getting delivered to my contacts .
And I have to often have to start a new thread with manually putting a zero(0) before sending a text each time.
I'm using the stock Message app.
P.S: This issue started when I updated to latest G900VVRU1ANI2 4.4.4 update.
Anyone else facing the problem or faced in the past and got it solved?
Why are you using a Verizon variant in Karachi? you should have one of the international versions.
The OP in the below linked thread is having the same problem as you:

Yes he has described the same problem which I'm also facing that's why I have already posted on his thread about the solution if he had found any.
BTW, You guys didn't face this problem?
Well if it is a GS4, then you are in the wrong sub-forum. lol
But no, I've never experienced this as I am using a VZW GS5 on a Verizon plan and network. It's probably because you are outside of the US that it's trying to input the +1 for you, and that's not going to work in Karachi.

Oops, that was a typo. I did buy a Verizon GS5 used.
No it was working perfectly fine before. The G900VVRU1ANI2 update created this issue.

Is it possible to Downgrade to the stock 4.4.2 Verizon firmware From 4.4.4 via ODIN ?
1 thing more: How do you find out whether you are having the Verizon Galaxy S5 variant or the Verizon Galaxy S5 Developer Version Variant?

I've never faced that problem. And I know you posted in that guy's thread. That was kind of my point of posting that link. No need for you to start a whole new thread of your own which is the exact same as that other guy's thread.

I just flashed from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 and forgot to do the NCG kernel thing, and then went back to 4.4.2 from 4.4.4 just fine. Worth a shot I guess. GLHF.
Anyone found a fix for this?
I really liked the NI2 update. Its buttery smooth and fingerprint scanner works really well !
Anyone?
Im new to android and would like to root my Galaxy s5 running 4.4.4. I have tried the towelroot application and it says device not supported. I have tried the various modstrings and none of those work. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
You didnt specify your model, but it seems like you are on a verizon or at&t model based on your android version, theres model specific forums for those with plenty of guides, please let us know of your model, and i can give you the link if you cant find it.

I just switched from a Sprint Galaxy S6 to a Verizon Galaxy S7 and it's a drastic change to me lol.. First off, I wanna know if Magisk (Systemless root and Xposed) works on here and how I would go about flashing it on this device. I had the most *****in' setup on my S6, so I'm trying to replicate it to some degree.
I haven't heard anything about custom recoveries for the S7 just yet, anyone have an idea? Sorry for my noobish appearance here lol, I just need an introduction because I'm missing out on so much without my root and Xposed.
EDIT: I may have posted this in the wrong thread. If so, could a mod move it to the proper place.
Note- I am of course referring to the G930V in this post. I'm on the APH1 update.
No custom recoveries yet. The root method at the top of this forum works and gives you access to xposed. That's the best option we have right now.
Eh, I guess I will have to deal with what I have for now. Thanks for the reply.
Are there any custom kernels that can be used with the Verizon S7?
