Hi to everyone, yesterday i changed the battery of my 928F. After that the mobile signal continuously drops down, 1 time to 10 i can call and no one can call me.
I'm pretty sure that i have not damaged any connector, what could be the problem? thanks

Hi all! I've got a really serious issue! My Universal turns off all the time and it can't be started if it's not connected to external power supply.
Tried two different batteries without luck. Did a hard reset and tried different roms. Additionally I tried to over-/under-clock the device to 624/416 MHz using xcpuscalar, because I thought that this app probably caused the problem, but also without any result. Cleaning the batteries contacts didn't work either.
What to do? Any idea? Is there some application for self-diagniostic out there? It doesn't turn off while it's connected to power supply or on stand by. But after some minutes of work (phone call, sms, gaming erc.) at battery mode it switches off.
I think there are some fluctuations in voltage or power!?
Help is really, really appreciated! Thanx!!

Hi there,
It just sounds like typical old battery sympoms to me, I had the same problems on mine so I bought a new battery and it was problem solved.
the only thing I will say is try to get a genuine battery, not a cheaper copy or you tend to get battery level display problems. I got one of the cheap extended battery and it showed 100% till it went flat. I could be wrong of course, this is just what happened to mine.
Good luck

I agree...seems like a battery problem.
Mine is going bad as well. Next week I am going to order a new one (extended of course).
Hi,
I have a Jasjam PPC. But the problem is that it's not charging at all. When I put it in charge only red light glow either with battery inserted or battery removed. So, is it time to replace my battery or there is some problem with the Jasjam? I have done resetting during the charge but its not working also. Since my battery is totally drained up so there's not any kind of screen light during pressing power button.
PLZ I NEED HELP...........
Thanks.

Usually caused by something that causes the battery to drain below 10%. Then you can get the RLOD. The charging circuit gets locked up and won't allow the device to charge. A pesky problem, but at least you have the RLOD, if you didn't then it could be the motherboard fuse.
So some things to try, non of them guaranteed and sometimes it works after trying these things several times over:

Thank you very much for the suggestion. I have tried the recommended first 2 methods and last method is still left to try but I feel that Its time to buy a new battery becaz the battery is 2 years old. And I also feel that its totally RLOD problem becaz I carry 2 phones and don't pay much attention to this jasjam therefore I dont usually charge it frequently. I have left it uncharged for many times and thus there isn't any problem with motherboard fuse in my opinion. I will try my most to make the battery work.
One suggestion needed. The place where I live dont have any Imate shop but the HTC shop is near. Since TyTyn and Jasjam are nearly the same device should I buy the tytyn's battery and insert it in JASJAM.
Again ur reply needed.
thanks

To the best of my knowledge the batteries are the same. My concern is that a new battery will not solve a "locked up" charging circuit. If however it is a bettery fault then it will cure the problem - and a different battery has been known to unlock the circuit, thus allowing the old battery to start charging again.
You are correct about the fuse being OK. The red LED will not light if the fuse is blown.
Mike
Thanks a ton for your reply. And I gonna do all of your provided tricks to cure my JASJAM's RLOD disease.
I need some days to update the result. So I will let u know if i get my device working as soon as possible.
Thanks again for the help.
Thanks my phone's battery is charging again.
But i got one problem and that's my phone is showing that its speaker is on. there's speaker icon always on the top of the start menu taskbar although I cant switch on speaker in call and in some program. How to set it to default? I dunno want to reset my PPC.

First I'm pleased you got it charging again. Please tell us what you did that got it working - new battery?, one of the "tricks" mentioned above??
Regarding the speaker problem. When you tap the speaker icon I assume you get two sliding volume controls - one for earpiece and one for rear loudspeaker?? I also assume you have both set correctly??
If you have the volume on both set correctly, we need to know if you get sound from the rear speaker on any programs at all. Can you play music for example. If the answer is NO then I suspect your rear speaker push on connector has slipped off (not uncommon). If so look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1376254&postcount=2
If however you do get sound from the rear loudspeaker on some applications, then the above is not your problem.
Mike
I think that the second option worked for me if I am right.
And for the speaker problem, I think that you didn't understand my question.
My rear speaker works during music or in programs. But the only problem is that when I switch the speakerphone(loudspeaker) mode during the call, it's not working(not rear one). And the speakerphone icon which we see only during call is showing all the time, that's the problem and I cant switch to loudspeaker during the calls even if the loud icon is always there. I hope u understand the problem or I will post the picture.
Thank you for giving your precious time.
since a few days ago the battery charging symbol and the front led will only activate if one of these following conditions is met.
the phone is standing vertically on its side or if it is face down.
if i try to (slowly or fast ) turn the phone on its back (face up) then both
the charging symbol and front LED switches off and the battery stop charging.
it seems like a sensor issue and so i recalibrate but no joy... i check with a virus checker too. no viruses
LOL
can any one help
i have a HTC HERO G2 touch...... sorry i got to update my thingy down there
thanks
have you tried re-calibrating your battery?
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
i really cant get ma head around what has recalibrating the battery has to
do with the position that the phone has to be in before the battery begin to
charge.
the battery is fine, i still easily get a full days use out of it and thats with meebo running four accounts all day with intermittent talking / calling, mailing, sms and listening music.
it seems to me to be a sensor issue but hey i could be wrong
has anyone experience this or can help, is this a hardware or software issue
Thanks
Sorry was just my first thought when i read your post, i just cant think that a sensor would be causing your problem. perhaps it has to do with the connection between the phone and the charger? :/
Hero with Sense 2.3
ill keep scratching ma head on this till i can figure it out.
however thanks for your input much appreciated
Youre welcome, hope you can get it sorted. have a good long search on google, theres always something . Good luck!

I might be your wire (the bit that goes into the USB port into your phone), had problems with laptops which only charged in certain positions too. It could also be the inside e.g. if you dropped the phone or got it wet. For starters Try another USB wire if you have one and see how it goes.
k0zmic thanks
it turned out to be my power supply a friend brought over his one, plugged
it in and lo and behold the indicators worked as expected.
thanks for the tips
No problem.
Hi folks,
For the last year, my JasJar (Windows mobile 6.1) has been going well. But in the last 2 weeks, it developed a major fault.
What happens is that at unpredictable times, the battery just drops all its charge and the device then reboots, gets part of the way, loses its charge again, then tries to keep rebooting again, over and over.
I thought the battery might be stuffed, so I switched to another battery - same thing.
Sometimes this abrupt loss of battery charge is triggered when I send an SMS. The text message doesn't transmit, and the battery loses all its charge, even if it was on over 95% charge.
Ideas anyone?
Could there be a subtle software issue which can cause this?
Or, is it more likely hardware - a sign that my 6-year-old jasjar might have reached the end of the road?
Cheers
a
Would it be a loose connection? It sounds like a connection to the battery is lost and therefore reboots. Does it show any of these problems whilst connected to mains or only when on battery?
I haven't heard an issue like this before, so I really suspect it's a hardware fault.

What's interesting is how sudden power draws, such as sending an SMS, often trigger the problem.

Always works perfectly on mains. The problem only appears on battery.

Starting to look that way. Sad, because I've only had the JasJar for a bit over a year.
Try first a hard reset.
I remember a battery problem, after a new soft.
Recently my Omnia 7 has a problem with charging and extremly quick battery degradation.
After charging the battery the battery icon keeps showing the charge icon.
When the battery is at 50% a constant alarm is ringing and the battery discharges itself very fast.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOz-jORsJVk
Maybe it's the battery but why does the battery icon stays on charging?
Hello,
I've got the EXACT same issue!! My Omnia 7 starts to beep and chime at 50% and won't shut up! And the battery starts to drain really fast..this all started happening after the last update I did..and now my computer won't even recognize the phone it just shows up as unknown device and I can't do any further updates.
I went back from OS:7.10.7740.16 to OS:7.10.7720.68
That did not solve the problem.
Bought new battery but the phone shuts down after 20 seconds with the new battery...
(on or off charger)
chicagodesi786 is your battery icon also indicating charging all the time?
I think it's a hardware problem. (probably the USB cable socket)
Whilst this hasn't happened to me...
My sister's Omnia 7 has done this. Although a battery pull shut it up for her and it's been ok since.
Hello,
I've done the battery pull trick, but it still does it from time to time.
I think it's the USB cable socket.
I lost connection to zune and fiddeling with the cable made the phone connect again.
I send the phone back to Germany for repair.
Will post the outcome here.
Problem solved
It's an electrical interference at your micro-usb. What you need to do is to separate the metal part in the center from the metal part at the outside of the usb port. I used a small screwdriver to force it!
Wow Quadcore it seems that you are right! +1
I send the Omnia to Germany (w-support.com) for repair and they refused to repair because of "water damage" .
Totally bogus, I never exposed my Omnia to any liquid. ("waterdamage sticker" = a oke)
TIP: make sure you take a picture of your "water damage sticker" before sending your phone in for repair!
Just today I read your reply and seperated the 2 sides of the USB socket.
Omnia is working without beep beep or extreem battery drain.
I did send samsung.de an email to demand fixing or replacing my Omnia.
The problem is still there.
Bending the usb port helps for a while but the problem returns.
not sure if helps:

I'm trying it right now.
Did not work Omnia started beeping when i took it off the charger.
Finally the Omnia is back from repair.
Motherboard is replaced.
Because of that my back-ups can't be restored.
All works fine now except I can't install update 7740.
I get the 80180048 error.
All the phone information is the the same only the Radio hardware version changed from 0.0.0.2 to 0.0.0.1
