[VK815] OTA updated to 25A on 01/19 - G Pad 8.3 General

New update to 25A:
https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/lg-g-pad-x83-update/
Patch level 2016-12-01, build MRA58K
as "(VK815) OTA updated to 24B on 11/27" (2016-11-27) said:
The phone pop-up gave no indication of the change. The link provided in the notice & on the "LAST SYSTEM UPDATE" screen, gives an "Oops ..." message on the Verizon web site.
The 24B OTA reports 6.0, patch level 2016-10-01, build MRA58K (exactly the same as the G3/VS985 update to 49A on 11/11).

evidence of unsuccessful update this morning

First thing this morning, my phone insisted on a password instead of fingerprint for "first attempt after restart". But the Status page shows that the phone has been running for more than 600 hours, and I'm still on API2, Sept. 1 security update. But the Update page has a greyed-out "Continue update". When I click on Software Update, it says up-to-date and tells me as usual that I have to wait a few hours to check again (until 24 hours after my last manual attempt, which also said up-to-date).
The Continue Update is typically greyed out when an update hasn't already been downloaded, so you probably didn't have a failed update. I'm just getting a little upset that the October update is taking so long. Just saw this morning that the Nexus phones are already getting their November update...

My device started the update this morning, it ran in around 253mb, so I would guess its a minor update. I haven't let it finish, I want to give the 935U a run
Got it now:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/how-to/g935aucu4apj4-oct-1-2016-security-update-t3496395
I got the update. They sneaked in Fullscreen app.
I manually checked for the update and got it just now. It's so irritating that ATT takes so long to release these updates to us!

Over 200MB ... should be more then just security update. Security update is usually something around 40-60MB

sideloading ota

Hi I have an unrooted 6p I have never messed with the software but I am on the dp program I usually get the updates within hours of it being announced. But for some reason I have not gotten the 7.1.1 stable with December security patch which is odd but anyway I tried side loading the OTA and it gets to 40% and then says installation aborted. I have the and setup right and all that I can reboot into bootloader does anyone know why it would be doing this? When I was at work today I thought maybe if I disable the allow seamless update option in developer options maybe that will allow it. Any thoughts?
Ok I feel like an idiot. I tried again when I got home from work and it seems that the file I am trying to flash is from November 1 which I already have installed. It is the last one one the Google OTA page. So is it not out yet for the 6p? I'm confused can anyone help me out please
I believe you'll need to unenroll from the beta program first before attempting to sideload the OTA image. The latest OTA image is NMF26F, which includes the December security patch. And make sure you boot into recovery, and not the bootloader to install the update using adb.

Ok if I unenrolled from the dp program I should just get the OTA then I won't have to side load is what I'm guessing. It seems that Google had the stable build done before they released the last dp because the file says November 1 build and I got mine on November 5 that is why it won't allow it.

Ota update

How can i update the latest Resurrection rom via OTA app? I can't find the app anywhere?
i clearly don't remember what it is said but ,
you should go to
settings -> their will be a RR symbol in settings under customisation(i am not sure is that customisation . but their will be something RR customisation.)
their you will find many customisation options. Just go right and you will find it under one of the menu . See carefully.
i hope this helps
OK I found it but when I hit the OTA update nothing happens..
lol i thought this was about the official nougat ota. You may want to edit the title into something like "How to update to latest Resurrection ROM via OTA updater app?" to avoid confusion.
@darko454 what happens when you hit. do you go to screen where it tell you your current version, an option to Check updates.
or just nothing . i am bit confused where you are stuck.
Can you add screenshots. ?
ok i went to settings > configurations >miscellaneous > Updates
under OTA there is the:
Latest version
Check update
Automatic update interval
What do i have to do, to download the latest version?
I recall if you press Check Update, then if there is a new update available, a notification will appear. Also, underneath that Check Update Option is the 'Download latest build', which will direct you to the Sourceforge or Google Drive page and there you'll be able to download the most recent build (as of writing this, it's the 21/02/2017 build).
For RR and for the unofficial Lineage OS ROMs, we don't get incremental OTA updates, we have to download the full (300-400 MB) ROM update each time to update. So for RR, you might wish to keep an eye on https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/athene/ for the latest updates.
as echo92 said .
click on check for updates
if there is any it will notify otherwise message will appear "No New updates".

You could update it manually through the asus website.

perhaps you should contact Asus team for query
Yet not received PIE update
I haven't received PIE update yet and it's already mid may.
Mine is also X01BDA, no update, Poland.
same problem as OP. Stock everything, India and never received PIE update.
Asus has posted pie update asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-Max-Pro-M2/HelpDesk_BIOS/
india version, officially has been release, try to update manually : IN__ZB630KL(ZB631KL)_16.2017.1903.064-20190420.zip
for FOTA, you have to wait more time

update it through the asus website. even i had issues with my FOTA update, when ever i went to my system updates it used to say its up-to-date and then after a while i got a notification saying FOTA stopped working or failed. I contacted the Asus customer support and they said to update it manually by downloading the file from the website. I just mainly wanted the update for the camera2api. Manually installing the updates works. I think the FOTA is bugged or something.
Heres the link
https://www.asus.com/in/Phone/Zenfone-Max-Pro-M2-ZB630KL/HelpDesk_BIOS/
go to the BIOS and Firmware tab and download the file named "Version WW-16.2017.1903.064". This is the indian variant.
transfer it to the internal storage of your device and unplug the device from your laptop. as soon as you unplug you should be getting a notification saying a new update has been found. click it. it will first verify and unpack the file before installing the update.
THE FILE SHOULD BE TRANSFERRED TO YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE, NOT YOUR SD CARD!!!
Hope this solves your issue!

Manual system update failed

I just bought this device, it's on build 1901.339 oreo. I tried updating it to pie via the updater but it didn't show any update. I downloaded latest manual update file(1906.055) and started the manual update process, it started and booted into recovery, after a little progress it said error.
I tried downloading another package(1905.53)to bridge the gap between latest update and my version, same thing happens.
What's the solution guys?
I am very new to Asus, so My build number has 'WW' in it, that means it's SKU is 'WW' right!? and i downloaded the packages with 'WW' in their names.
So i think SKU mismatch isn't a issue here.
Thanks.

After 339 you must update to 340 sequentially for OTA updates. V340 is the last Oreo update
