Hello everybody,
Initially I tried to install Jelly Bean, so I put my phone into recovery mode, I performed a backup and I wiped all data. Unfortunately I have put by mistake the Jelly Bean zip file on external sd-card. I tried to reset the phone and I saw that I could not access anymore recovery mode. I entered into downloading mode and after several flash tried with Odin, I do not see anymore the download screen but the phone is still in this mode. Any flash tried with Odin seems having no effect. Screen is completely blank. Any help, please?

But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card....Do remember to backup your contacts, data, images etc and also your EFS folder before flashing a ROM and make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.
Check Here to chose your forum/Guide by Version of your phone or you will have more problems by using wrong solutions due to different versions of Galaxy S
you can get a rescue kit from My Android Collections and or a solution from My Android Solutions
Hi, yesterday I played with my phone. I had CM9 stable version, but I wanted some new kernel. I downloaded semaphore for my phone and rom and tried to instal it. but after turning my phone on I saw only rebooting animation for about 20 minutes. I tried to use my backup (made in CWM), but it does not wotk. it happened the same thing (looong boot animation). I tried one more time to restore my backup, but it was worse. In recovery I didnt see any card(some error with mouting it). I tried via Odin flash new rom(official in my country), but after it I see only boot animation of Samsung, see the big S,after a few seconds is my screen black, only in irregular intervals my phone vibrates and soft key lights.
I can see download and recovery menu. In Odin I am unable to see my device, so I can not try to flash another rom.
Can somebody help my, or at least say me, whats happen, please?
(sorry for my language, but google translator cant make miracles and my language skills are not very good)

Hello. I have the U8800 pro. I was trying to install one of the Jelly Bean ROMs for this phone and I completely forgot to delete a dload file from the root of the sd card. I was on the official ICS ROM from Huawei and still had a dload file from the update. It went into the update screen and was stuck halfway on step 2, didn't say update failed at all, it was just stuck on installing. . .
So I took out the battery and put it back in. When I turned the phone back on, it showed the Huawei logo and went to the update again by itself. I had to remove sd card and delete that dload folder. I put the sd card back in and when I turned the phone back on again, it showed the Huawei logo again for a few seconds and then just goes straight to the pink screen. I can't even go into recovery mode. Won't let me. I take out the battery, put it back in, turn it on, same ordeal, huawei logo, then automatic pink screen. I connect it via USB and it doesn't detect the removable drive for the system image. Nothing. My question is, is there any possible way to resolve this issue? Any way to get back into recovery? I'm really not hoping that I bricked this phone. It's a really decent phone. Thank you for your time and please reply and answer soon. I greatly appreciate it.
Booting straight into pink screen means there is no rom installed. The phone tries to install the official rom from the sd card. When it doesn't find anything, it goes into pink screen. This means you must try installing an official rom to make the phone boot. Try installing GingerBread.

I downloaded the official Gingerbread rom for the phone and it just said "Update failed" on the unpacking part. The sd card is completely empty. I only have the dload folder on it with the Gingerbread update. I keep trying and it just keeps telling me "Update failed." What should I do now? I'm confused to why it is failing, if there is no rom on the phone. And thank you so much for the reply, by the way.
Try hard resetting your phone:

The reason I'm making this thread is because I was trying to root my Honor 8 and things just didn't work out in TWRP. Rebooted my phone and I realized I had bricked it since it would not boot after 10 minutes. Solutions seem to be scattered throughout different threads so here's guide for when you're stuck in a boot loop or you bricked your Honor 8.
What you'll need:
1. The firmware currently you are on. @Coolyou posted a guide for a firmware finder. Here is the post.
2. SD Card
What to do:
Step 1.
Download the correct firmware. It will be a .zip file.
Step 2.
Create a folder called dload in the root of your SD card, not your internal storage. Copy the .zip file the folder and unzip it or unzip it else where and copy the content into the dload folder
Step 3.
Power off Honor 8 (if possible, sometimes it'll auto boot up when forced shutdown)
Step 4.
Make sure your device is not plugged into a computer as it will load into something else.
Hold Vol+ & Vol- & Power. It will being to install the firmware from the dload folder if done correctly. If it instantly fails that means you downloaded the incorrect firmware the device is already one.
You're done! However, if your device does not go past the startup logo within 3 minutes proceed to step 5.
Step 5 is probably necessary as everytime I've bricked my device, I've had to do the next step.
Step 5.
Power off. Hold power and Vol+. Once in Recovery mode (not eRecovery), clear cache and format your device. Once done, reboot.
Ta-da, you're device is now back to normal.
Unfortunately, I cant seem to get to the part where it detects my dload folder and installs from the UPDATE.APP file. My phone keeps auto restarting whenever I try to turn off, and since bootloader is locked, I cant flash any images. Every time I hold down Vol+, Vol-, and power button the phone just vibrates twice and goes to the blue honor boot logo. I have successfully managed to get to the Fastboot menu by holding down Vol- and power button, but this menu is useless as bootloader is locked. Is there anything I can do?
Let go off the power button after the first vibration. Also make sure your phone is not plugged to a pc. With pc connected it boots into eRecovery instead of recovery. Good luck!
Edit:Also the guide does not make it 100% specific but the dload folder on the sd card needs to have the update.app file right inside it. If the structure is sd\dload\folder\update.app it also won't work.

Add me to the list, two soft bricked Honor 8's. Once I made the jump to Nougat and installed the Nougat version of TWRP 3.0.1-1, I started having issues. So, I tried to downgrade to FRD-L04C567B150 from FRD-L04C567B320 and had big problems installing B150. Always getting unable to load /data Has to be something to do with the new data structure of Nougat I have a copy of the full stock rom of B150 and B162 and have wiped the phone. I am trying to dload full B150 from SDcard but will fail immediately and says Wrong Version. I can get to fastboot and ADB. I also tried custom ROMs but that wont work because they need the basic Nougat structure to work from. I don't have a clue how to proceed seeing that I can't even wipe the phone and install a Full stock ROM B150 or B162??
Any help would be extremely appreciated.

UPDATE : It freaking worked!!! After an entire weekend of hair pulling and going way deep into Nougat and MM trying to find the cause, it was a simple Full ROM B162 that I dloaded and three fingered from the SD card (of course it has to be the exact ROM for your phone such as FRD-L04C567B###). WOW, two phones are back. I'll stay at FRD-L04C567B162 and like it.
Lesson Learned: When you try to do an eRecovery and the Honor 8 starts downloading new firmware from the internet it creates a new folder on the sd card called something like HwOC. In that folder is stored the new firmware that erecover plans to use on the recovery. IF this HwOC folder is present and you try to do a Full ROM three finger install with the B150 or B162 firmware in the dload folder, the recovery will stop and say something like invalid version. To fix, remove the HwOC folder so that only dload is present, now do the three finger start and the firmware will install without error. Worked twice for me.
Hi, my device is still not booting up after installing the matching dload firmware on my device from the honor 8 website (FRD-L09).
Is there still anything I can do to maybe get this fixed?
I created a nandroid backup of all partitions that I were able to back up, but even rolling back all partitions did not make it boot again.
Sadly, I am not able to get the device into e.g. fastboot mode anymore because it is not booting anymore and therefore cant get an adb shell on it.
I can still enter recovery mode, but when trying to boot it just stays at the blue screen with the white "honor" text after the short boot animation with the 3d text
Hi,
my phone keeps entering eRecovery and my PC does not recognize it so please how can I access it to install files. I think I have installed a wrong boot.img and recovery.img version of firmware.
Please I need help.
Thanks

Hi even I have the same problem with Honor 8 Did you get any solution??
Hello,
I am a new user and I have a problem.
I have tried unlocking the bootloader using this tool: https://github.com/SkyEmie/huawei-honor-unlock-bootloader, but after a few days of unsuccessful unlocking I gave up and rebooted the phone; it tried to reboot, but it had hanged on the Huawei screen (powered by Android). I have tried recovering with Huawei's eRecovery (Power + Volume up + USB, Error: "Getting package info failed") and via factory reset key combo (Power + Volume up + NO USB, Failed: goes to 3% of factory resetting and then reboot and repeat forever, sometimes goes up to 99% and just hangs). I have foud that some people put the UPDATE.APP into the dload folder on the root of a micro SD card and use TeamMT firmware finder to download the correct firmware. The problem is that I don't know which exact firmware to use, but that doesn't matter because they are all unavailable (says just "An error ocurred" whe I click on the download link).
I should point out that the phone is NOT unlocked.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
English is not my primary language, so please excuse any of my mistakes.

Hi, if you want flash Stock ROM using dload method (SD card etc.), download and install Service ROM . I think your region is C432 (? - it's very important!) , if so, then download https://androidhost.ru/2AK0
firmware for Dual SIM ,
or, https://androidhost.ru/30QS for Single SIM.
Instructions can be found in ReleaseDoc folder.
The process will erase all your data.
Hello,
thank you very much for your reply. I followed the instructions You provided and flashed the file for the dual sim model and the phone started booting android. It again hanged at the Huawei logo, but this time while loading Android, and not before (the difference is that on the first screen before loading OS is says Powered by Android and on the second one it does not). I then factory resetted it and waited some time and it booted completely fine. After around half an hour it gave me a notification about a system update (ver. SLA-L22C432B176), which was applied completely successfully.
Thank you very much for your help once again.
