ROM for WT86047 (2014813)? - Xiaomi Redmi 2 Questions & Answers

I've learned the hard way that there are different versions of Redmi 2 and most ROM here is not compatible for my phone (I avoided all threads with WT88047 title on it now, lesson learned).
Is there any AOSP based ROM for my device? Where can I find it. TWRP is already installed.

I think u can flash any aosp based rom like orion or du or zephyr or tesla.

after some research I am coming to this conclusion, please someone correct me if i am wrong:
1 roms for wt88047 work on both wt88047 And wt86047
2 the first time you install a non-miui rom, you need to flash the "firmware" first, this is found on the thread for CyanogenMod on 88047, once that is done you can then flash any 88047 rom
3 what everyone calls the "firmware" is maybe the bootloader? some version of twrp i suppose? I haven't tried yet so am a tad blurry on that.
Hope this helps

Did you ever figure out what the 'firmware' is that other posts refer to? Is it a particular bootloader image?

Hi,
In my opinion the firmware is the package containing modem, etc... It comes from "miui" (xiaomi). It's this link, for example:
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/wt88047/install
(with a special link for wt86047).
I think the bootloader is more "TWRP", it's definitely not the fw.

[ROM] Cyanogen mod for mx5?

Hi, is it workong CM for meizu mx5?, i bought that phone two weeks ago and i would like to install CM, always all is easier on CM
thanks
Yes, CM would be nice, but now bootloader is locked. We have to unlock it first
Devs really need to use the same technique as for some devices that have locked bootloader such as Xperia SP locked by operator, build a rom on stock kernel, which allow you to restore system.img via terminal or adb
By this way, on Xperia SP that I owned, I had Android 5.1 but with the stock kernel which is stock KK

But how do you flash it if recovery has signature check? Or do you mean to flash only system.img?
In Xperia SP there is no partition check like in meizu, and there is an exploit to use TWRP so it's simple, in meizu we can only flash system.img like custom roms for M2 Mini : http://www.smartylife.net/custom-rom-smartyrom-meizu-m2-mini/
---------- Post added at 05:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:47 PM ----------
If you want an exemple : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735975
It's using the stock kernel because they can't apply any custom kernel on a locked bootloader

So do you mean to flash recovery without unlocking bootloader. That also would be great, like meizu mx4 pro twrp
Yeah this could be the best way but I don't really think it's possible. This can be the easiest way for the end-user, but just flashing system.img is the safest and simplest way I think

I don't understand what is the benefit of using custom roms that does not provide any signature changes to Flyme OS. Installing a launcher and deleting some default apps or add some other apps + a little tweaks that won't give us any noticeable improvement is not really necessary. For example look at viper roms in htc rom development and see how they make differences in htc sense and compare it to the rom that you provide it's link. What we really need here is developers that can do something to unlock our bootloader and give a ability to other developers to cook different roms like Aosp or CM or at least some good flyme OS ones which give us some real changes.
Ahah @$or$, it's not just rom tweaking at all, it complete rom port, if it was just a tweak, how can we obtain Android 5.0 based on KK just by removing apps ?
See this for exemple : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/resurrection-remix-5-0-2-lollipop-lbl-t3170211 you can see it's not tweaking at all

Main problem is because, we cannot change the kernel we cannot have a fully working rom like the flyme one and I did not talk about sony one because, Sony obviously has more customers than meizu and more active developers. Meizu even don't have any separate thread for each phones they make As I said we need good developers to unlock the bootloader of meizu phones or by giving more pressure to meizu to provide a way to unlock it's phone's bootloader.

Hi guys,
i'm a Lg p760 owner (Old baby), looking into forum to install a decent custom Rom for my locked bootloader (unlockable since 2013) ,
so i found this thread on XDa [HERE](http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l9/general/guide-install-custom-roms-locked-t3249828)
They use Bump to sign recovery and system's files in order to be accepted by bootloader.
Do you think this can be applied to ours Mx(5-4pro) ?

LG G3 Cat. 6 (F460 K, L, and S) Custom ROMs

I've been following the general LG G3 Cat. 6 F460 thread created by @realdreams for a while (you can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3-cat6-f460l-f460k-f460s-owner-t2991923), and while I have found that thread extremely useful and informative, it's gotten to the point where it's very hard to find that info through the (as of posting) 120+ pages of posts.
The main thing I'm usually looking for is a link for a custom ROM, which is sometimes difficult for English speakers like myself to find for this phone since most of the forums where they are posted and developed are in another language. So I've created this thread to try to collect and maintain a list of Custom ROMs for the LG G3 Cat. 6 (F460 K, L, and S variants) only. Generally, it would be nice if with each ROM we got a post with:
The name of the ROM
Android Version of the ROM (Marshmallow, Kitkat, etc)
Base of the ROM (AOSP, Cyanogen, Stock)
Download links, of course! Please include the forum links if possible so that we can Google Translate the changelogs.
If you want to post a brief review of the ROM and/or list some of its features as well, that would be great too! :highfive:
Finally, I'm not a moderator, but I created this thread to try to help de-clutter the F460 General thread. I know that a lot of people still have questions about how to flash ROMs, etc., but this thread is not the best place for that. Please post your questions on the general thread, not on this one!
RadeonMaya
I'll start things off with the ROM I'm currently using.

Seems like LG Stock, just without the bloatware. It's not the greatest in terms of battery life, but at least it is fairly stable and performs decently well. I've heard it's good with custom kernels as well, although I've not personally tried one. Flashing Xposed causes the "optimizing app x of y" screen to show at every boot, or at least it does for me.

Hi mcace14, please read the first post at the top of this thread. It has a link to another thread where you can find the help you're looking for. We're trying to keep this particular thread focused on an uncluttered listing of ROMs available for this phone, so this isn't the best thread for questions. I'm sure you'll find the answer you're looking for in the other thread, though.

This is 3.5.211 DEV
stuck on zuk logo . +1
Phone bricked with this
Don't flash it
For new flashers
What to do when bricked
Switch on phone
Wait for 1 minute While zuk logo appears
Use minimal adb
Cmd : adb reboot edl
Yes it works even on bootloop
So phone went to edl mode
Flash other qpst ROM version
Now restart phone
Done happy flashing:good::fingers-crossed:
---------- Post added at 05:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:56 PM ----------
If you successfully flashed this ROM
mention the previous ROM in your phone
I flashed over 3.5.200 it bricked the phone
With zuk logo bootloop
I think this is only flashed with specific version
Checked with different versions still bootloop occurs
Versions checked with are :
2.5.104
3.1.117
3.5.200
Flashing over these ROMs result in bootloop or bricking the phone
But I think based on discussion forum
One user made a difference in features with 3.5.099
So I think it can flashed over 3.5.099
But when I got that ROM I can confirm it
Note: reading different forums I got a overview that 3.5.200 is different version because flashing 3.5.200 over 3.5.099 results in bootloop
So this results in
3.5.099 and 3.5.200 are 2 parallel versions
3.5.099 can be updated or qfil to 3.5.211
3.5.200 didn't get any update or update not revealed
This is only an estimate so dont ask me the source and i was even new to xda i was a tech expert so i estimated it
once checked I can confirm it
Finally we manage zui 3.5.211 dev, with twrp flash zip without bootloop by excluded firmware bootloader from stock rom, but bugs still persist same as zui 3.5.200 dev

Custom ROM for the J320m?

I'm looking for all possible custom roms for the j320m which I already tried some of them like lineage 13 and 14.1, some others? I have updated twrp, thanks
Well, as you mentioned we already have roms for model M outside the 2 that you quoted as Lineage 13/14 and now ViperOS, we are trying to make boot.img (kernel) for tests in next roms, if you want to be part of the group of tests here is the link

---------- Post added at 01:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:17 PM ----------
maybe, if you pass test new boot.img that are necessary for compiling new roms made for the other variants, to run on j320m need a kernel adapted to it, lately in concrete searches I have made sure that the root of the J320M is the same as J320F (another variant) so wanting you can test roms made for j320f (but they are made on lollipop basis and that is for j320f and not fn).
