Hi, is it workong CM for meizu mx5?, i bought that phone two weeks ago and i would like to install CM, always all is easier on CM
thanks
Yes, CM would be nice, but now bootloader is locked. We have to unlock it first
Devs really need to use the same technique as for some devices that have locked bootloader such as Xperia SP locked by operator, build a rom on stock kernel, which allow you to restore system.img via terminal or adb
By this way, on Xperia SP that I owned, I had Android 5.1 but with the stock kernel which is stock KK

But how do you flash it if recovery has signature check? Or do you mean to flash only system.img?
In Xperia SP there is no partition check like in meizu, and there is an exploit to use TWRP so it's simple, in meizu we can only flash system.img like custom roms for M2 Mini : http://www.smartylife.net/custom-rom-smartyrom-meizu-m2-mini/
---------- Post added at 05:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:47 PM ----------
If you want an exemple : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735975
It's using the stock kernel because they can't apply any custom kernel on a locked bootloader

So do you mean to flash recovery without unlocking bootloader. That also would be great, like meizu mx4 pro twrp
Yeah this could be the best way but I don't really think it's possible. This can be the easiest way for the end-user, but just flashing system.img is the safest and simplest way I think

I don't understand what is the benefit of using custom roms that does not provide any signature changes to Flyme OS. Installing a launcher and deleting some default apps or add some other apps + a little tweaks that won't give us any noticeable improvement is not really necessary. For example look at viper roms in htc rom development and see how they make differences in htc sense and compare it to the rom that you provide it's link. What we really need here is developers that can do something to unlock our bootloader and give a ability to other developers to cook different roms like Aosp or CM or at least some good flyme OS ones which give us some real changes.
Ahah @$or$, it's not just rom tweaking at all, it complete rom port, if it was just a tweak, how can we obtain Android 5.0 based on KK just by removing apps ?
See this for exemple : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/resurrection-remix-5-0-2-lollipop-lbl-t3170211 you can see it's not tweaking at all

Main problem is because, we cannot change the kernel we cannot have a fully working rom like the flyme one and I did not talk about sony one because, Sony obviously has more customers than meizu and more active developers. Meizu even don't have any separate thread for each phones they make As I said we need good developers to unlock the bootloader of meizu phones or by giving more pressure to meizu to provide a way to unlock it's phone's bootloader.

Hi guys,
i'm a Lg p760 owner (Old baby), looking into forum to install a decent custom Rom for my locked bootloader (unlockable since 2013) ,
so i found this thread on XDa [HERE](http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l9/general/guide-install-custom-roms-locked-t3249828)
They use Bump to sign recovery and system's files in order to be accepted by bootloader.
Do you think this can be applied to ours Mx(5-4pro) ?

Hey check this site out.It shows m2 note running cm12.
Is it possible??
WWWunlock-bootloader.info/2015/06/meizu-m2-note-7266.html
Add a dot above as i cant post links
Sorry but this site is a fake.... For exemple he said "I write this based on a tutorial on XDA" he gives no link, even no name. Then he says :you can now upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.0... The M2 Note comes with 5.1 stock, and CM 12.1 is running on 5.1 too. Another thing, download link redirect to a survey. And screenshots are not showing CM on M2 Note, just CM's screenshot that can have been taken on any device, it's not specifc

Even, if you are not afraid to kill your phone yourself, you can try the tutorial for MX4 and M1 Note, patching uboot.img in the update.zip. It worked for someone on Lollipop (uboot from 4.5.6A on MX4 if my memory is good). You can try if you want, but it HASN'T been tested, you can easily brick definitively yoir phone... If you would like to try, please downgrade your phone to a version which has been released before 1st September to prevent any fix provided in uboot.img from Meizu
I've learned the hard way that there are different versions of Redmi 2 and most ROM here is not compatible for my phone (I avoided all threads with WT88047 title on it now, lesson learned).
Is there any AOSP based ROM for my device? Where can I find it. TWRP is already installed.
I think u can flash any aosp based rom like orion or du or zephyr or tesla.
after some research I am coming to this conclusion, please someone correct me if i am wrong:
1 roms for wt88047 work on both wt88047 And wt86047
2 the first time you install a non-miui rom, you need to flash the "firmware" first, this is found on the thread for CyanogenMod on 88047, once that is done you can then flash any 88047 rom
3 what everyone calls the "firmware" is maybe the bootloader? some version of twrp i suppose? I haven't tried yet so am a tad blurry on that.
Hope this helps

Did you ever figure out what the 'firmware' is that other posts refer to? Is it a particular bootloader image?
Hi,
In my opinion the firmware is the package containing modem, etc... It comes from "miui" (xiaomi). It's this link, for example:
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/wt88047/install
(with a special link for wt86047).
I think the bootloader is more "TWRP", it's definitely not the fw.
Hi,
Have the G4 XT1625. Considering trying some of the Nougat ROMs but they all seem to say that the N Soak Test needs to be applied first...Why? With my previous phones, whenever a new OS was ported, I was able to flash it without the need to upgrade other firmware first. Why aren't the necessary N files incorporated into the custom N ROMs already? What has changed?
Thanks for helping me understand.
Fingerprint doesn't work as properly it needed to work on Nougat ROM if you flash over MM...
On every thread you will see Single Fingerprint Issues... I haven't seen anything else....

That's a problem on other devices too. Also from LP to MM there was extra firmware needed unless the dev cooked it into roms, from MM to N no firmware is needed and never ota updates or test roms; im talking about Zuk Z1.
It really depends, not every device needs this and also it depends from the manufacturer of the device, how they handle firmware.
How i can flash N firmware? Im using RR ROM, i cant find the right topic for me!

A custom recovery cannot update firmware files on your phone. There are updates to the firmware in several partitions not accessible to TWRP. Hence, only the stock recovery or fastboot can flash to these partitions. The stock firmware is hence flashable only that way.

Flashing the Nougat soak test for the G4 models is not necessary. Only required for the G4 plus models. I have the XT1625 and have used several Nougat custom ROM's without any issues at all. I am currently on AICP - 12.1 - N 7.1.0_rXx (0126 build) and have been since 12/28/2016. IMO it is the best of them all.

Official Nougat has not been released for XT1625 so I can only assume it isn't available for the XT1626.
I'm on g4 not plus xt1625 us retail no soak test. All nougat ROMs work great for me. From my experience nougat update and soak test is not needed. Some nougat ROMs are still using mm base bands as they seem to work better
Hi,
I needed Custom ROM for Oppo F1S A 1601. It is a new phone having Color OS 3.0 based on Android lollipop having lots of bugs. Oppo is too slow in providing upgrades. I searched on the internet for a custom ROM but found none. Any developers out there please help.

To get the custom ROM, bootloader have to be unlocked and suitable custom ROM have to be created or modified.
So, sagarjasani, are you or anyone started working on it?
I mean the method to unlock bootloader first, and modifying a custom rom for a1601.
How you guys unlock a bootloader of an android phone?

Hey Bro, Unlocking bootloader procedure must provided by OPPO. I don't think they give you a way to unlock bootloader. They don't want to give you install other rom to your android. They want to stick you to their coloros.
