Dear expert i bought s7 edge 1 month ago. 1st its start camera camera failed message but a simple reboot is enough for fix.
now its camera not working anymore even i hard rest it. i also installed official same region firmware with odin of previous month but also its wotk. I bought this phone from saudi arabia under 2 years warranty . i also show my phone to sumsung Pakistan technician & they tell me that sound like your phone camra cable is ejected from slot but if i open your mobile your warranty will void. now i wonder how this is possible. are the QC team drunks at work.
can flash official firmware on same region void warranty or not.
because i am sending back my device for warranty repair to saudi arabia.
Send your device back to samsung for a check. Warranty will not be voided unless you are rooted
Update: sumsung reject my warranty claim due back cover was open. Also after check my motherboard have problem & for repairing i will pay 200 $.
After 1 month
I am not sure about motherboard & i already order for back camera module.
Yes i recived the originol camera module & i replace it but not sure.
Hurrrrrra its works. My phone works normol. Sumsung miss guide me. The problem is back camera module

Hey all,
I've just had my HD2 back from a repair where my screen died. It's nice that they've fixed it and all, but they haven't replaced the VOID sticker on the battery compartment!
Essentially they've voided my own warranty!!! What should I do?
Ta
Don't worry. Spoke to HTC - they said I had to just take a photograph with a date stamp and keep it just in case I need another repair. Hmmmm!
same here
I too had the same issue.
I gave it to service center few months back for the hard keys were not working and today the screen stopped working((actually it had a very very bad accident but it survived don't know how)). i went to the service center today they asked for how did the seal got broken and i told them that they only have opened the device couple of months back. they checked the their computer and WOW now my hd2 is at service center.Iwill get the screen replaced in one week as the device is under warranty.
Hi guys, just now my mom's X5's right half of the screen stopped responding. Apparently she went to a concert and it started to rain but the phone itself didn't actually contact any water. Point is since it was raining, the air was damp, after that she claimed the right half of the screen stopped responding.
Checked using developer's tool -> show pointer location that it stops detecting touch input EXACTLY at 0 on the x-axis. Any solutions to this other than sending it to the repair center? I've still got another year of warranty on this but preferrably not to send back to warranty as service centres are known to take their own sweet time in repairing phones plus the X5 had already been flashed to a custom firmware.
thanks.
My brother's phone had the same issue and i flash the original firmware and eventually sent it to the warrenty.
After 2 weeks phone returned fixed by a new panel. You should try and see. You won't lose anything.
If you are sure they won't fix then you should by a touchscreen from ebay or somewhere similar.
Sent from my U8800
Hello,
Is it profitable to hard brick Knox 0x1 smartphone to get him on warranty? Or should I just give him with 0x1 status?
Here are the problems:
1) Not charging (even if replace Micro USB Flex - MB problem)
2) GSM Modem and sound problem after update to newer 4.4 KK - still can't find solution
3) Not working camera module (had two replacement pieces, one didn't change anything, second gave me my rear camera, but I still couldn't use the front one.. When I was changing to front in camera app it was crashing and freezing.
Thank you.

So, you have modified both, software (KNOX) and hardware (self-made camera replacement), and NOW you are looking for warranty?
Beside ethical issues related with such, I'd suppose that your phone would be investigated on arrival, and traces of mechanical hardware replacement operation would be easy to spot by service guys...

I tried both replacements but I have changed it back to stock hardware parts. And. I also think that they'll see my interference.. :/
Hi, my rear camera become unstick, rattling and swimming in its frame. It is obviously bad luck HW issue, phone is without any signature of usage, but it has tripped Knox already. Do they check software side and deny free repair when issue is completly HW related and it has nothing to do with software- which is replaced back to stock and everything works fine? Anyone with personal experience with samsung service and support?
Hi M8,
My galaxy s7 edge was rooted just had some repairs done under warranty without any problem, hope this help.
Cheers
I rooted my OnePlus 5 a few days after I got it and recently found that OnePlus doesn't void your warranty for rooting. If this is true, than what does void my warranty?
The technical process of rooting or unlocking the bootloader does not void the warranty of a OnePlus device. However, we strongly suggest for you to only root or unlock the bootloader of your OnePlus device if you are confident in your understanding of the risks involved.
By accessing resources regularly unavailable to the software, you may damage your hardware during or after the procedure. Such damage is not covered under warranty. In warranty handling, we will first need to verify that any faulty behavior is unrelated to rooting / unlocking.
I think this means when you flash a different ROM or Kernel which causes a hardbrick and if you do something wrong with your device that can cause hardware issues. Experimental stuff or whatever.. But it's a good question! i like some examples too, maybe others know:silly:
screen crack, water damage and so on.
lol read the warranty that came with the phone
Recently my phone got a vertical white line appear on the screen that shows whenever the device is on, even if you are in the boot screen and not in the os yet. Hoping that me having a custom rom installed doesn't stuff me over with the rma. (this issue did not pop up due to the rom as ive had this rom installed without updating for quite a while, thinking its hardware either display or cable). Only mentioning this here as it is relevant to my situation.

Always flash stock before returning that is one way for you not to have an issue getting it covered.
I had to RMA my phone after 4 months. The service center replaced the motherboard and USB Port/headphone jack which were defective. I got the phone back today and there is a white line running the length of the display. When the phone is running for a while it turns into two lines and then three. There was nothing wrong with the display before the RMA.
Since the service center said they tested the phone and everything was working One Plus is trying to claim the phone was damaged in transit meaning the display problem would not be covered under warranty. So apparently any damage caused by One Plus Service Centers doing warranty repairs voids the warranty.
There are multiple complaints on the Internet of One Plus doing something similar to other customers. There are also multiple complaints from One Plus owners that the company said water damage voided their warranty even though all of the owners claim their phones never came in contact with water.
