Hi,
I am experiencing random reboots since upgrading to 7.0 - aporx. 1 reboot per day.
I left logcat recording overnight and succesfuly catch the right moment, however I am not seeing anything clear.
Can someone look for any unusual things please?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum but regularly read it for advice about my phone, so figured you could help me with some problems I've been having recently with my Galaxy S.
Recently, the following things have started happening on a regular basis:
-Apps re-arranging themselves, disappearing and shortcuts disappearing from the home screen tray
- Switching back and forth between silent and loud mode every 5 mins or so. Really annoying as I have my phone on silent at night and then it switches itself to loud and I get woken up by email alerts.
- Battery life being absolutely dire with 3G/HSDPA on. Barely 6 hours of occasional email checking. With data networks off, I'll get 12 hours or so.
I've tried the following things to fix this:
-Rooting and re-setting battery stats (as explained in a few helpful posts on these forums and elsewhere)
-Deleting apps I know to have been massive battery drains. The Facebook app, once deleted, gave me an added hour or so. Not much but significant when you can barely get half a day out of your phone.
- Re-flashing stock firmware/repeated hard resets/flashing 'unofficial' firmwares.
Re-flashing/hard resetting solves the issues for about a week or so, then the battery settles down, become awful again and then the apps start hiding again. This week is the first time in a year I've had alternating silent/sound though.
Anyone have any idea why it might be doing this and/or how I might fix it? I've uploaded a screenshot of the battery usage to show you the ridiculous drainage as well, in case it may be of any use.

I'm having random reboots. I'm running 5.1.1 rooted but stock rom. Sometimes it's 12 hours until a reboot, other times it's a week or more, but I get no indication that it reboots, I just find my phone at the screen waiting for the encryption password to boot up, missing who knows how many calls.
Any idea how I can fix this issue? It randomly developed in the past month without any changes on my end.
Thanks!
I'm getting random sudden reboots. For instance, I was using Google Navigation and listening to music at the same time, and the phone rebooted about 30 minutes into my trip.
I was wondering while I'm waiting for someone to respond in the EX kernel thread if someone who knows what to look for can check my log and tell me what might be causing the lockup and reboot. I've attached it here. Any help that can be provided would be great. Thanks!
Hello
I'm getting 1-2 restarts almost daily, and what is consistent is that the phone will short-vibrate once, then a pause of about 8 seconds, then two quick short-vibrates in succession (about .25 sec apart) and then the phone restarts.
This can happen when in my pocket, it can happen while actively using it, can also happen when just sitting there on my desk with screen on. I haven't seen a pattern regarding app use or activity triggering the restart.
I posted a question a month ago about how people with Androids can troubleshoot restarts. There HAS to be a way (app, etc) that allows you to see crashlogs **without** rooting your phone. Yet, I got no replies here to my last post.
Is this really such a hard thing to do with Android? Please, tell me if I'm wrong and missing something completely obvious. I'm right now factory resetting my phone cause I can't figure what's causing this.
Thanks in advance for the help.
I have the some.
Any once have fix for this random reboots ?
Same problem at any moment. And sometimes it stays at a boot loop.
I have changed the firmware to a custom one and the problem persist.
Hi,
Around August this year, after some firmware update, my phone started to reboot spontaneously one or more times per day. I didn't find any particular circumstances for this behavior -- it may happen when I'm typing a message, scrolling Instagram or just laid on a table... The most problem is that it can reboot at night time (while charging) so after reboot, the alarm clock I've set at the evening doesn't work %()
Any ideas how to fix this really annoying bug?
Thanks.
You are on stock without modification? Root? Substratum... Etc?
