Need Help with my Bricked(?) Samsung S7 Edge (US unlocked version) - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello guys,
My plan was to do factory reset and then unroot my phone. I applied a lot of modding in the past and decided I wanted to go back to default phone setting again. Somewhere during this process I ran into this issue that would prevent odin from flash my phone properly...
When I rebooted my phone into Android Recovery, I saw these two messages at the bottom:
"dm-verity verification failed..."
"Need to check DRK first..."
I'm kind of stump on what to do next...
Then I rebooted the phone to go back into Android Recovery mode, and tried to do factory reset.
I got the following output instead:
"E:failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory)"
Is that indication bad?
Right now I'm lost on what to do next...
My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone is the SM-G935U model.
Here are other info I got from the Android Recovery window:
MMB29M.G935R4TYU2APE2
samsung/hero2qlteusc/hero2qlteusc
6.0.1/MMB29/G935R4TYU2APE2
Thanks for any suggestions.

Need HelP - ODIN gets stucked while flashing

Hello guys,
I need extremely technical help as no longer know what to do.
I have a Galaxy S7 Edge device, which installed the rom BobCat and everything went well until then.
Later I decided to install another rom to test KingRom that left me unsatisfied, because I thought it had some bugs. Had the TWRP 3.0.0 recovery and decided to upgrade to 3.0.2, everything went well.
At one point I do not remember when or how if was when install back, downgrade to TWRP3.0.0, I do not remember if it was via Odin or TWRP, it happens that the installation stopped halfway. Then unplug the device, restarted in recovery mode and got the following message "E: falied to mount EFS (Invalid Argumen)", I could not restart the device (Boot Loop, and stucked at Samsung Logo) except in Recovery Mode, which also made to stay without IMEI number and Serial Number.
I googled until I came to this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-e...ssues-t3379516
I followed all the steps explained, I back up EFS_backup and RADIO_bakcup partitions.
Installed FACTORY BINARY G935, everything went well. After restarted, already had the correct IMEI number but still did not present the S / N.
After all that, i tried to install Stock Firmware via Odin, from here started the problems that could not solve.
In the first attempt Odin stucked in "System" (also used the PIT file with the same CSC ... .i do not know if I was right using PIT?). Restarted the device forcibly, entered the stock Recovery, did a complete wipe and always get this message "E: falied to mount System (Invalid argument), I returned to install Factory Binary, then reboot in Recovery and the same message no longer appeared.
Again I try to install the Stock Firmware and Odin always stucks in System, or NAND writing, or Partition, etc. I've tried various Stock Firmware, with and without PIT files, always without success.
Only Factory Binary that successfully installs. The TWRP via Odin also but when device restarts to enter Recovery Mode always get the message at the top of the display:
"Recovery image signature check Fail"
"Reboot to avoid Warranty bit set."
1. Does the partitions are in good shape? how can I check it?
2- I did good or bad using PIT file?
3- Does the problem is running Windows XP through a Virtual Machine?
4 What else can I do?
In all actions used and am using a Macbook 4.1, OsX Lion 10.7.5, Odin 3.11 Windows XP Professional 32bit through Oracle VM VirtualBox 3.4.38
Device:
Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) CSC = SWC SwissCom
1st Original Firmware: (I guess was 1?) G935FXXS1APG5_G935FVFG1APF3_SWC
Need help Please
Thank you so very much!

S7 Edge Bootloop + TWRP stuck loading Unable to format HELP PLS

Hi, I think I f***** up badly...
I wanted to root my S7 Edge SM-G935F running android 7.0 so I enabled USB debugging and OEM unlock.
I used Odin to flash a CF auto-root I found for the 935F for android 7 and the site just said I had to install SuperSU after that but it was just boot looping.
After that I installed TWRP for my phone and installed the zip with Superuser. I kept receiving the error "failed to mount /data (invalid argument)".
I googled it and found a video that said I had to change my system "file system" from EXT4 to FAT. It was stuck so I rebooted the phone...
Now I can't load TWRP (it's stuck at the loading screen) to do a factory reset and when I do a normal boot it doens't go further than the S7 Edge screen, it doesn't go to the flashing SAMSUNG screen.
Now when I choose to reboot in Odin mode it says "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I tried to do that but it says "unsupported device" and it doesn't see my phone in the Emergency Software Recovery tab.
I could have done a factory reset before but it's not the first time I root a phone and I never had a problem so I didn't back anything up but I have some very important pictures on my phone for school.
I enabled adoptable storage so I couldn't just take out the 128gb Samsung Pro + micro sd and copy the pictures on my pc.
Can somebody please tell me how to factory reset my S7 Edge even if I lose all my data. Sorry for my English it's my third language.
Thanks in advance
If I can remember correctly the "An error has occurred while updating th......." screen is actually the same as download/odin mode, so you can odin flash back stock rom.
Your data has probably already been lost during file system changing which automatically format /data.
Also I have never seen any phone run on FAT file system. S7 only support EXT4 and F2FS(required custom rom and kernel). So be careful next time.
AFAIK, there's currently no root available on stock nougat touchwiz rom unless you use modified kernel&rom.
For TWRP to be able to read /data.
/Data need to be FORMAT in TWRP once to remove encryption, so that TWRP can read it.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
yeah iv done the same
so turns out i have done exactly the same as you did here
what did u do to fix this

Unbricked my T-Mobile Galaxy S7

I've successfully rooted some of my previous androids, and currently have a rooted LG tablet. Today I was trying to root my Galaxy S7 and I bricked it and couldn't figure out how to unbrick it. I was following this guide devs-lab .com/root-Samsung-galaxy-s7-s7-edge.html. Everything looked like it worked Odin said pass but my phone got stuck in a boot loop. I tried to root it with a tar.md5 from a different site but it failed. When I put it into recovery mode it showed a big circle said "Installing updates" and then it went to a black screen showing the droid with a red caution sign and said "No command". From there I was able to get into the recovery menu and I tried wiping the cache and that didn't work, I then tried the factory reset and that didn't work. I then downloaded the "Stock_DeOdexed_Debloated" ROM from here and tried to sideload it using adb but that failed saying "E:footer is wrong. E:Signature verification failed" I tried to install it from the SD card but got the same message. In the recovery menu it said "No Support SINGLE-SKU, Supported API:3, # MANUAL MODE #, -- Appling Multi-CSC..., Applied the CSC-code : TMB, Successfully applied multi-CSC., Successfully verify for dmverity hash tree". I downloaded a stock firmware zip file I found on a different site and flashed the files inside using Odin and got my phone back up and running. I can’t figure out how to attach files so I've included links to the stock firmware I used as well as the version of Odin I used.

Can't flash any Firmware after installing Factory Binary

Hello guys,
I need extremely technical help as no longer know what to do.
I have a*Galaxy*S7*Edge*device, which installed the*rom*Samsung Experience 9.0.

I really need help, please.
I am facing same problem with my s7 edge g935fd. But in my case i lost imei of both sim cards & lost baseband version. I tried z3x samsung tool. But i didn't found model g935fd there.
Waiting for help
I am having the same problem with an S7 (G930V). During one of the re-flashes, I was able to install the Samsung Product Info App. The CSC product code came up as blank. Not sure if this is normal for this state. Any leads would be appreciated.

[HELP THREAD] Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F - Looping in "Erasing" after Root.

Hi Guys.
I just tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F. I followed this tutorial: https://www.skyneel.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s8-sm-g950f
So everything looked fine, Odin gave me a "PASS" and I disconnected the phone. Phone restarted and started installing CF SuperSu.
After next restart, it said "Unable to restart your device. The integrity verification has failed. You need to reset your device to factory default settings. This will erase all your data"
After pushing the Erase the phone is not restarting/looping multiple times and is going to "Erase"
One time it stopped looping and just got stuck on "Erasing" for an hour so I thought I should try restarting it again, after restarting its just looping again.
I checked out this https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/stuck-on-erasing-while-doing-factory-reset.441143/page-2 where they tell to just wait after its stuck?
Please assist me.
EDIT:
I have now been able to install TWRP, will try to install stock ROM and then root it. Does anyone have a quick guide on this?
EDIT2:
Finally! Got it back to stock state again with Odin. Will give it a second try to root it. Anyone has any root to recommend?
EDIT3:
So i was able to install TWRP again after flashed to stock, and the installed Magisk. So everything is working fine, Hence close / delete thread.
