Hey guys
I have a Nexus 6P with 64gb internal storage .. 18gb used
I was on whatsapp when my brother sent me a video of 2mb and realized it said failed no space is available...
I wanted to screenshot the error yet also a notification came out saying can't take screenshot because of low space on internal storage..
So i wanted to go in the default storage via setting and see explorer yet the device won't let me go in.. it just flashes and come back to storage space..
I'm hoping I'm not infected with any malware and if so how to fix this please?
If you have a virus best is to manually flash the ROM but to get the space back possibly connect it to computer drag everything off if you can and then format user space

Bootloader locked? Not Rooted? SE Linux enforcing?
You could try moving you medias to a PC just for a check... Will take some time but worth a try.

Hi all,
I recently updated my ClockworkMod rooted phone to KitKat 4.? (whatever the latest auto-update release is). It seemed to go well until it asked me if I want to restore root (cannot be undone!!!) and I said YES. Now my phone gets stuck on the boot screen (animated colored circles).
I can still connect with adb and my sdcard looks good (whew) but I cannot use my phone. Can anyone recommend a fix?
Thanks in advance,
Barry

Full wipe and flash TWRP.
Or if you like, flash twrp and see if that alone will help, but most times the two is usually needed. However with the way things are, ymmv!

I will full wipe as a last resort only.

Darn, forgot to ask you if you are able to get into recovery? If so you might be able to backup everything before you flash the new recovery. My bad! :banghead:

No issues. Use adb reboot bootloader to reboot into fastboot mode. Flash the factory image, except userdata.img, you won't lose any apps or SD card contents, no wipe necessary. If you don't know how, I'll post a link to a guide.
Or just use some toolkit like Wug's and do everything from pc through simple menus.
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
just do a full flash via fastboot...
and flash data ...n roms too
Send my signature phone to XDA with bad grammar

Hey guys,
I was going to flash a rom when I accidentally wiped my entire system and internal storage.
Now whenever I turn on the phone it just stays at the white screen with the bootloader unlocked message from motorola.
Need help to recover my device.
If it's unlocked you're ok.. Really depending on version your still ok... Hard reset it.. Power+ Vol down.. Once off his the keys again to enter fastboot... From there use the volume keys to get back into recovery... Them sideload a ROM.

You can also flash your stock firmware with fast boot....or rsdlite. If the files are out there. Just make sure if you were on 4.4.2....you stick to 4.4 2.
Good luck!!

So apparently soft-bricking a N7 i s common, I get that, I have read all the posts about how to fix this with fastboot and adb so on so forth... problem is that somehow, she managed to nuke the bootloader and the tablet won't do anything. I can get to the screen where you can choose to reboot into recover or bootloader but into recover there IS NO MORE RECOVERY... using the SkipSoft Toolkit, I can get TWRP on there but as soon as it reboots it does not hold that flash for some reason... so now I am at a screen with a robot on his back, cannot reboot to any recovery, and windows no longer recognizes the device... she claims all she did was order Coffee from Kuerig on the tablet and it restarted and this happened... so any help... Oh, the problem is that she did not have USB Debugging enabled and I cannot even get in to turn it on...
If all else fails, you can swap out the motherboard for about $40. I did it to upgrade from 16 to 32gb. It's relatively easy to do...

That's where I got mine from, best of luck ☺

Oh BTW, DO NOT UPDATE TO LOLLIPOP YET! It will make your N7 useless! Had to revert to KitKat after. Wait for 5.1 update. ? just a PSA...

So I have an att s5 active (SM-G870A) on android 4.something (I don't remember the firmware). It's been rooted for the past 2 years, and I've never had problems with it. About last week I put it into ultra power saving mode to try and save some juice when I didn't have my charger. Once I tried to exit the ultra power saving mode it opened a box saying it was exiting when the wheel froze. I gave it a couple of minutes before I held the down the power button to force a restart. When I turned it back on it was still in ultra power saving so I went to turn it back off again, only this time it told me that touchwiz home had crashed, which made sense as I had it disabled via titanium backup. The same box as before came up to tell me upsm was turning off but then it froze and shut off. This is where it left me. Ever since then whenever I try to boot it up it comes on, I unlock it with my passcode, then (without my prompting) tells me it's exiting upsm, then restarts itself back in upsm. I have a couple of seconds between reboots to try and mess with settings and it says it's still in upsm so I can't try and turn it back on to prevent the loop.
I have a lot of personal stuff on the internal sd card, so I don't want to system wipe. Are there any ways to change settings remotely? For example, can I somehow toggle the "turn off ultra power saving mode" remotely?
Also, I have read conflicting info about what data is removed on a factory reset. I expect it to remove things like apps, but will it remove my photos and music for example?
Another option I've considered is reflashing stock firmaware but the only downloads I've found are for the non-active s5 or from sites with 50kb/s download speeds. Should I bother downloading one of these and trying that?
TL;DR - Phone tries to exit ultra power saving mode, but just shuts off and reboots, over and over. Will doing a factory reset delete my photos and music? Are there other ways to fix this?
Thanks :fingers-crossed:

Then download it and flash only the system Img in Odin onto your phone to extract the system Img from the firmware use 7 zip file manager and extract the tar file if the file ends in md5 edit the name of the file so it is g901a(whateverisinthemiddle).tar
Then extract this tar file and click add and choose the system Img and make it a tar file flash this tar in Odin

great, where does it say the firmware number?
The top line says android system recovery, the next is a long line of random letters: KOT49H.GB70AUCU1ANE4
is that the firmware?
Yeah ne4 is the firmware

You can pull all the data off your external sd card just by popping it out and plugging it into your laptop or pc using an SD card reader

Hey, i'm on S.i.x. rom on nexus 6p and with latest twrp.
After clean flashing the rom i rebooted into recovery to dirty flash an update, so after wiping cache and system i got an error saying sd card not mounted or something like that don't remember properly and then when i went to select the file it says memory as 0 mb.
There is absolutely no file or folder that i can see via twrp but when the phone is booted up i can see all the files. Any help how do i go about solving this issue ?
Have you tried searching for this with in last couple months I remember seeing something on this but didn't see the resolution

After reading this thread, I realized I have the same problem as you. What I noticed is that its showing up as 0mb because the device is still encrypted. In order to fix this boot up into the OS. Set a screen lock PIN or password. Make sure you save it as requiring password on startup. Then bootup into TWRP and it should ask you for your password to decrypt. Put in the correct password and your files should show up again...At least that's how it just fixed my problem lol
