Cyanogenmod and softkeys - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all
I've noticed that on Cyanogenmod roms the backlight of the Note 3's softkeys light up whenenver you touch the screen as opposed to on Touchwiz roms where the backlight only turns on when you press the softkeys. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Install xposed and gravity box and Change that

[Help] On screen buttons on Quarx's CM10.2

On screen buttons was available previously on CM10 builds but on the latest CM10.2 Quarx nightly I miss this in the display settings.
:crying:
My defy's capacitive buttons are not working so I rely on on screen buttons.
Tried to enable them by changing the build.prop but didn't work!
Even tried some apps. Pie control lags a lot with intensive applications.
I also read somewhere that decompiling the framework-res apk on screen buttons can be enabled but didn't try that yet. Waiting for the community's response :fingers-crossed:

[Q] Notification LED with screen on?

Running stock LG ROM, rooted with xposed on vs980.
I'm wondering if it's possible to make the notification LED work with the screen on as well as off.
Is there an xposed module that might do it, or could be added to G2xposed or G2TweaksBox?
Or a config file somewhere I can add/edit a line to accomplish this?
I loved that feature of AOKP on my GNex. Haven't taken the leap to flashing a new ROM on my G2 yet, but I would love the feature now.
Especially when playing a full-screen game, but even more needed once I upgrade to a KitKat ROM and use multiple apps in immersive mode with no statusbar/notifications visible.

[Q] OmniRom Bugs N7000

Hi there,
I am running OmniROM 4.4.4 Nightly on the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 and for a Nightly version of this ROM its very smooth and efficient. have been trying for months to install KitKat on my phone with no luck and I have to say I was more than impressed with the user interface and the responsiveness of the phone. I have although encountered a few problems. The first problem I have is that there doesn't seem to be an option to personalize the lockscreen with favorite apps or changing the wallpaper. I can't find a way to set notifications on the lockscreen either. Another problem I found is that there doesn't seem to be an option that lets you toggle the light settings for the back button and the settings button located on either side of the home button. And the last problem is that there doesn't seem to be an option to toggle the vibration of the phone when when its on vibrate. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

On screen soft keys and edge features

Enabling the soft keys via build.prop seems to break the functionality of the off screen edge functionality e.g swiping up and down on the time to activate the edge screen.
On my device when I try to activate the side features the space where the navbar sits at the bottom of the screen turns transparent and you can see the lockscreen through it?
Does anyone experience this and have a solution?
I hope that made sense I explained it as best i could!
Thanks

[Q] Any Apps/ Xposed for Theming Notification Panel (Marshmallow)

Now that Wanam Xposed is off the charts and XTouch does not sound like it will have the theming options Wanam had, is there any way to edit the Notification Panel? Green is seriously not my colour (unless we are talking eyes ) and I hate the persistent *S Finder* and *Quick Connect* icons on there. If there is no app to edit the notification panel, how about a port of the S6/ S7/ Note 5 panel? Failure to all that and I'll take a Port of S6/S7/ Note 5 Rom that stays as close to TW as possible. Anything to get out of greensville. Any links/ info is much appreciated.

Try the dn5 0.6.1 rom, its a fantastic s7 port for n910H or n910C, and the status bar is white not green, and u can remove the quick connect bar if you'd like.
Its completely stock and fantastically stable. You have access to themes as well.
You wont be sorry!
try good lock version 24.0.10(a newer version exists, but keeps popping up the sidebar)
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/good-lock/
it gives you a notification area similar to AOSP style, but with a lot of customization.
it has smaller buttons, notification grouping, and you can select almost any color for the theme.
the theme color is always a set of 4 colors(picking dark blue for example gives dark blue text and buttons, light blue background, and green indicators) but you can shuffle these 4 colors around for things like darker backgrounds.
it's designed by Samsung for the S7/S7edge but works fine without root on the note 4 with android 6.0.1

Flipster does that, i am using it, available on play store, download it, & you can modify SystemsUI with it, not just that, it works for every other application also.
