Enabling the soft keys via build.prop seems to break the functionality of the off screen edge functionality e.g swiping up and down on the time to activate the edge screen.
On my device when I try to activate the side features the space where the navbar sits at the bottom of the screen turns transparent and you can see the lockscreen through it?
Does anyone experience this and have a solution?
I hope that made sense I explained it as best i could!
Thanks

The bottom of my N7 screen cracked but the device is still very usable. The bottom half inch will not respond to touch, but everything above that point works just fine! I'm hoping for a way to expand my navigation bar size, or bump it up to leave my screen blank under it.. Any help will be greatly appreciated and I have some $ in PayPal as a thanks. Any help as in a ROM that allows a Nav Bar Resize.. A way to move it to the top of my tablet screen... Some way I can put a google search bar under it or anything to waste that space. Thanks for ideas, hoping to save my N7 and keep it usable without having to rotate it everytime I need that portion of my screen!

I could have sworn I've seen navbar mods somewhere. You could always consider using PIE controls, however, if you want to remap them to the left/right screen edges.
Thanks for the quick reply. Pie Controls is a very useful work around for now. The app would be amazing if it let me choose exactly where on the screen I could pull up the navigation bar, but even without that option it is a great help!
I've seen some Mods but all of them seem to shrink the Bar, not enlarge it.
The reason I want to extend the stock navigation bar isn't just to be able to touch the buttons but it also pushes all opened apps, my home screen, etc up past that point that is cracked... So while playing a game or in my options menus I would still be able touch the bottom of my screen, just above the navigation bar (which I can't do now.) Basically, the top of the Bar is the bottom of my touch screen and it isn't high enough for me to use the entire screen =(

LMT Launcher is a pie control interface. It allows you to open from anywhere on the left or right and you can setup gestures as well with it to do the navbar functions. Look it up here on xda.

Anyone know of a tweak or setting to change the gravity of the navbar?
It is driving me crazy that I can't just set it to stay at the phones physical bottom,
That would allow me to rotate the phone to choose if i want it on the right or left side.
Now I have it on the right side no matter what or at the bottom if I choose phablet mode, neither of which suits me.
Guess what I am requesting is a toggle to set standard AOSP navbar behaviour.
Another small issue, choosing custom icons on the navbar doesn't do anything.
And two feature suggestions.
An option to set a navbar toggle for PA's immersive mode when that arrives.
An option to insert navbar toggles anywhere not just at the far right. The problem with the current behaviour is, that you have to redo all the nav buttons, if you want to add an extra button at the left side.
Great work guys!
This is imho by far the best rom! :good:
A while ago I dropped my G2, and now the screen is broken
An edge of 1 cm on the right side of the screen isn't working, the rest of the screen is fine.
I was wondering if there is a way to make the screen smaller so it fits in the part of the screen that works.
I have already tried the resolution changer app, but if I change the horizontal resolution, this app centers the screen, but I want it to align left. (Because only the right side is broken...)
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
On stock roms simply swipe on the nav bar

As Siggey said, LG has a function called Miniview which shrinks the screen. You just have to swipe the navbar.

Thanks for the replies guys! I will try this asap
Since most of today's phones have a notch, why not this one too?
Imo, it would look better using the secondary display as a part of the main display.
Only the notification icons would need to be shifted a little more to the right.
Like, is it even possible to disable the hardware keys, enable a navbar and on the navbar modify HTC's immersive mode button to not only hide the navbar, but the secondary screen too?
And, like on any other HTC, when you's swipe up from the bottom of the screen it would show the navbar again, but this time also the secondary screen.

That's dope. I guess it just needs a little bit more tinkering to show stuff properly the right way up.
Anyone know how/if Pie's screen rotation lock works with OP5? It is supposed to put an additional icon in the navbar, but since the OP5 already has a hardware navbar is there something that can be done short of enabling the soft navbar (which is dumb and redundant)
I to have been trying to figure this out. Unfortunately it seems like nobody has figured out how to do this with any device with hardware button's without using the soft navbar.
I have only used the screen rotation lock/unlock via the quick tiles. I have the fast pull down feature so its just a swipe from the top and tapping on the icon.
