Since the V20 speaker on the T-Mobile variant is "eh...", I wanted to try something. When I root my H918 I plan on messing with the mixer_paths.xml to make it sound better. So if anyone with the B&O tuned V20 could provide me with a copy of their mixer_paths.xml that would be great. I'm interested to see if I can spot the tuning in the file and apply it to my H918.
Thanks!
Does no one have the B&O V20?
Side note: the file could also be called mixer_paths_tasha.xml
Following, just incase. Hopefully someone can get this for ya.

This is truly a mystery! Curious to find out if the B&O branded (Korean?) version has something different going on since that seems to be what they were saying pre release and at release when they specifically mentioned the other models didn't have it.
I'm glad to see some people take interest in this topic
Hopefully it stays lively enough till someone comes along with the B&O V20 files I need.
Audio mods are sorta my thing. One thing I've learned about LG over the years is that they tend to have one system that is used on all variants with vendor props and preloadspec called at init. I haven't dug too far into the V20 yet but I wouldn't be surprised if you already have the BO tune somewhere on your phone just buried and not called up. I very easily could be wrong, just saying if no one pulls it for you, it might be worth digging around your current files.
I dug around through my V20's mixer_paths_tasha.xml and found the values for the headphone output and speaker output. I noticed right away that it's setup very differently from the mixer_paths from my G5. The next logical step to me was to compare it to the V10's mixer_paths. The V10 more closely matched the V20, but was still quite different. LG is using some different setup for the V20's mixer_paths and that's why I'm very curious to see if there's any difference between the American and B&O Korean models

Hi,
Has anyone else noticed a faint Buzz/static at the very end a song or possibly during the quiet moments? I have noticed it when watching netflix as well.
Most people wouldn't notice but if you really listen it's there. I did a google search and it sounds like this May be a wide spread issue with different devices. I have the Canadian version of note 3 (smn900w8) I am finding this so friggin frustrating as I took back the lg g2 for this and don't want to regret swapping it. I did have a note 2 but I didn't notice if it was thee or not.
I'm also trying to find out what dac the North American version is using? Has there been any news?

yes I know what you mean by buzz/static sound during the quiet moments.
I had this problem so I brought it into store for exchange for defectiveness.
they said they wanted to listen to the sound, but obviously they couldn't because you can only hear this sound during the quiet moments.
they weren't willing to exchange it for me. I just bought a new note 3 and compared.
new one did have this sound but was very unnoticeable unlike the old one.
since I couldn't refund the old one, I just sold it to someone else.
mine is also canadian version of note 3
There's a Blackberry Priv for sale on ebay listed as a developer edition. I don't know if that's true or not but I figured someone here might be interested in it.

Not my listing btw.
Seems to be regular prov for parts

Well, the "Not for resale" marking on the bottom suggests that it was either a demo model, like the ones that were circulated out to the media last summer, or it may very well be a 'developer edition' that would have been sent out to developers ahead of release in a similar manner. In terms of differences, there likely are none, excepting that maybe the build quality could be better or worse, depending on whether it was pre-mass production run, or if it was the first batch of mass production, and probably had the Android developer options enabled as default. Might be that the OS version is quite old, if they haven't been keeping it up to date. Other than that, nothing special. I wouldn't use it for parts, it sounds like it would be just fine as a wifi-only device.
Yeah I figured it's nothing special but posted it on the off chance one of yall wanted to mess with it.
Pre-ordered from VZ and was looking at reviews for the H3 by B&O PLAY and find they are only iPhone feature compatible. A few mentions that the volume, mic, etc. don't work with android phones. Couldn't find a version or model that was Android. Hoping that LG is not dumb enough to send out a version that B&O didn't update for the V20 which is Android? Long shot but anyone out here with a set of these earbuds and an android phone who can chime in? Hope the reviews I read were mistaken or the v20 will uniquely work with these.
Maybe contact B&O directly and see what they say?

Both cost the same. Which would you choose? Both are good for rooting and roms. OP5 probably has the upper hand though. But the U11 has much better audio and camera.
Whats the audio like on the OP5 through earphones?
i have an OP5 and a friend of mine has U11..
- what region are you in? here in hong kong U11 is more expensive than OP5.. (generally HTC is an expensive brand here..)
- since i came from the nexus line of devices, i would consider OP devices more friendly in tweaking, rooting, etc.. (i just read from a XDA portal post that HTC seemingly changed its policy on unlocking the bootloader in the developer unfriendly direction.. unconfirmed info but worth mentioning..)
- as my friend and i both do not demand very much on audio quality (i still listen to MP3s in my OP5), i cant comment on this aspect..
all in all, i think these 2 two are quite different products aiming at different target groups.. what you choose depends on which group you are in..
if photo (and maybe audio) quality is what you are after, go for U11..
if you want to play around with custom roms and various tweaks, definitely OP5..

I agree! I think the u11 is more towards audiophiles (with no headphone jack........? ???)
Boom sound is back and better than the htc10.. But I doubt the u11 will ever come near the size of the dev community for the oneplus 5. Different devices for different purposes. Think the u11 is an okay device, I wouldn't recommend it, I think waiting on the pixel xl 2 would be a better bet.. Or the next axon with sd 835..
HTC U11 is 650+ Tax = 700$
But 700$=/= 479$ or 539$ they are definitely not the same price.. (no taxes are charged by oneplus, my device was 539 exactly.)

Hey guys,
I was looking around the system files of my core prime variant sm-s820l VZW USA, and found /system/know your device. Was some videos in there, assuming the ones that help a new user use the phone and understand it, and in the beginning of those it states welcome to using your new Samsung Galaxy S5. Every video that's in that file starts out this way. Everything else about the videos shows exactly the same as the phone I'm currently using. And have for a CPL years now. I really like this phone and I'll be damned if I'm gonna spend a whole lot on a new phone when I don't need to. I know there's gotta be some other ppl out there still using this, now, very cheep still effective entry level smart phone. I've been tweaking and messing around with all sorts of things, mostly through trial and error, trying to get the best out of this device I can. I still have lots to do. Anyways, my question is....does this mean that this device is in all actually a Galaxy S5? Like, did TracFone simply take the S5 and modified the build.prop and added some other mods to make it there own, strap the name "core prime" on it and call it a day? If this is true, I was thinking that there is a whole other world out there in terms of customization/room/kernels now available to users of the TracFone core prime!! With such limited support, it would explain a LOT!!! If needed I can attach a copy if the vids. Would really appreciate it if anyone can shine some light on this!!
