Changing CSC Regions - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi,
I recently recived my Galaxy S7 Edge after returning my Note 7 :crying: and it appears the Firmware's CSC is XSG G93FZKAXSG (UAE/AE) United Arab Emirates.
I would like to load the Offical UK Firmware XEU From Sammobile G935FXEU1BPH3
I found the Odin Guide
But Im unsure if this still is possible or if it would negitively affect the Phones OTA Updates or trigger the Knox warranty.
Any guidance offerd would be greatly apreciated,

it will not trip knox as it is a stock kernal. But OTA updates maybe effected as it is an unbranded firmware.

Help ALB CSC

I have galaxy s4 i9505 and after region changing my csc is ALB, i can't get updates. What can i do? It is multi-csc... Region SEB, but CSC ALB.
So I will not get updates?
Hi
I had the same problem, I don't know why it happens.
I also have GT-I9505 and at first I had mismatch of PDA and CSC, my PDA was ME2 and CSC was BTU so Kies told me it doesn't support my firmware and thus I couldn't get updates. That was on android 4.2.2.
Then I installed the DBT (android 4.3) stock rom of Germany but when I entered Kies the CSC was still BTU and didn't change even after a factory reset so again I couldn't get updates, not via Kies nor OTA. Afterwards, I installed at last the BTU stock rom and everything was OK.
The Kies no longer told me that my firmware is unsupported and I received the MK8 update a week ago and gonna receive the new update which was released yesterday in a few days. Moreover, I forgot to mention that the Knox flag wasn't tripped after installing the BTU rom.
My suggestion is you install the rom which matches the CSC of your device because the CSC doesn't change after installing a stock rom so you have to adapt yourself to the CSC.

DTM is of Germany T-Mobile. Where are you from?
You had the German T-Mobile before and moved to SEB (Serbia) rom?

You can try flashing (via Odin) the new update which was released two days ago (MKE).
It was released for Germany and France for now but soon will be rolling to everyone.
I'm almost sure it won't trip the Knox flag if you do everything right.

Yeah that's an option also.
Also, did you try factory reset after the installation? If not, do it. It sometimes helps, in my case it didn't help to change the CSC to DBT when I installed the German rom.
I hope Kitkat will arrive soon to our devices. I can't wait to see the improvements and how did they change the TW.

Can't find Stock Firmware for dual Sim model SM935FD

Hi. I bought s7 edge in Thailand.
I was trying to find its stock firmware to get my phone a new fresh start. So far, I only found a link to Singapore firmware.
Here is from my phone
free upload
I heard you can flash single Sim firmware into dual one, but I was just afraid and prefer original firmware (before I root it soon hahaha)
Any idea where I can find one for my Thailand model.

OLB covering Malaysia/Philippines/Singapore/Thailand/Vietnam. I believe your latest update is of February 2016
Download Phone INFO Samsung from playstore and look for the active CSC. It has got a country shown as well.
I have a FD version as well with XME (Malaysia) CSC. But from what I have researched, for Galaxy S7 Edge specifically, Samsung has been releasing OTA updates (three times; once a month since Feb) for OJV countries (Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,South Africa, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey), XSG (united arab emirates) and EU countries (NEE=Netherland, DBT=Germany, LUX=Luxembourg so far)
I have decided to flash the DBT firmware as from the look of firmware updates trend, Galaxies with DBT receive the earliest and most frequent updates from Sammy. Everything is working fine. No Knox triggered. Not too sure about the warranty; i guess it doesn't matter that much since samsung only looks at whether your knox has been triggered.
Good luck
thank you
can I flash German firmware only PDA or i have to flash CSC and MODEM too?

Flashing BTU Stock on a EE carrier S7 Edge?

Hi guys im thinking to get a S7 Edge in the UK and its on EE network but sim-unlocked.
If i flash the BTU UK firmware on it, will it trip the Knox counter? And affect my samsung warranty?
Im thinking to flash BTU as it has less bloatware and making it carrier free would mean i receive updates sooner also. Please let me know. Thanks

I flashed BTU on my EVR S7 and knox is still 0x0, however the EE firmware doesn't come with much bloatware, just the myEE app and Lookout.
You're right though, updates do come through a lot quicker on BTU then EVR

I also have an EVR SGS7 Edge and would like to debrand with BTU. Is this easy to do?
I bought a rooted S7 edge from eBay that was originally purchased from Samsung... When I first tried to return it to stock via odin and stock BTU the flash failed..... I think I got confused with csc and csc home (which I still don't understand as all my previous sammobile downloads never had csc home file )... So I eventually got it to flash but ended up somehow on VIR which I think is virgin.... Which has the slowest updates known to mankind.
I'd love a stock BTU phone but don't want to lose my existing setup or semi brick it again. It's the csc and csc home thing I don't get.

You should be able to flash BTU without issue. It also has WiFi calling built in now so you don't have to have EE firmware for it.
Won't trip knox so long as you are flashing stock firmware in Odin.
I believe csc wipes data whereas csc_home doesn't.

idk about .org
try to match fw w/ur carrier, what is ur carrier or the phones original carrier/country ? those 3 letters match up to a specific carrier.
not that critical as all are almost exactly if not all the same fw, bloatware will be installed as to ur phones carrier csc

CSC Code Won't Change After Flashing Stock Firmware

Hey guys! So, out of curiosity, I've downloaded and flashed the most recent Oreo from Russia (CSC: SER) thinking that I would like to try out the new Oreo software. After I've tried it, I decided to go back to Nougat by flashing the stock firmware (CSC: XME) I downloaded from sammobile.com. After completing it, someway, somehow, the device is now stuck in the Vietnam CSC (XXV). I've been downloading various of XME firmwares from the past and everytime it finish flashes, it will start up in Vietnamese and I'm stuck again with the Vietnam CSC. Nice that I'm able to get oreo with a Vietnamese CSC, but I don't want to use it because the Samsung Pay works different in Vietnam in comparison to Malaysia. And, I've no idea how flashing a SER and then XME would come out with a XXV CSC is beyond my imagination. Is there anyway for me to return back to my stock CSC without rooting and tripping Knox?
Opening the stock recovery completes the CSC installation, give that a try. It's expected to show "Updating 0-100%".

So, I have done some digging around the internet and found this link from the Sammobile forum. I've tried the methods in that forum, and it works!
If any of you have suffered the same problem as me, you could perform troubleshoot using this method. It seems that firmware for XME is actually multi-CSC and includes other CSC such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and etc.. The Vietnam CSC is the default CSC.
So, here you go. This is the link: https://www.sammobile.com/forum/threads/39155-How-to-change-CSC-with-a-combination-file
