I got a three branded s6 Edge + and the three branding really annoys me. I dont feel like i have the need to root the phone but is there a way to unbrand the phone?
I tried to find the BTU version for sweden on sammobile but i only found the three version.
So can i just go with a UK BTU version or should i just wait for a swedish one to get released?
Use Odin to flash an unbranded firmware. Download the firmware from sammobile for your model.
Hi,
I recently recived my Galaxy S7 Edge after returning my Note 7 :crying: and it appears the Firmware's CSC is XSG G93FZKAXSG (UAE/AE) United Arab Emirates.
I would like to load the Offical UK Firmware XEU From Sammobile G935FXEU1BPH3
I found the Odin Guide
But Im unsure if this still is possible or if it would negitively affect the Phones OTA Updates or trigger the Knox warranty.
Any guidance offerd would be greatly apreciated,

it will not trip knox as it is a stock kernal. But OTA updates maybe effected as it is an unbranded firmware.
I recently bought a s7 edge G935F online and it has csc of TTT(which is trinidad and tobago based) and I'm worring about if it get me OTA for future update of Android 7.0 Nougat and 7.1 and possibly 7.1.1 or sth.
So I'm considering about changing csc for faster ota.
Can somebody give me a instruction or link that doesn't require root and never trigger KNOX warranty?
(Actually if my csc TTT's ota is not that much slower than other csc, I would like to keep my csc simply. Does any one have guess or fact about Trinidad and tobago's OTA release speed? Or for other South American countries?)
As well, I am wondering about if Samsung Pay works on g935f somehow. Is there any way to make g935f usable of Samsung pay? Does changing CSC or flashing a firmware which is for a country that supports Samsung Pay make it possible to enable it on 935f?
Since I'm not going to try to change csc if TTT csc is fine for normal release speed of Nougat OTA, the point of this long post is "can I keep my csc to get ota similar to other countries in Europe or a couple of days later than them?"
Hello fellas,
I have just bought a brand new S8 dual sim, or SM-G950FD, made in Vietnam.
After inserting the 4g chip, the device rebooted and downloaded the config for my mobile operator, which appears to be the config for the F variant and not the FD (see attachments below).
It works fine, but the region ARO (Argentina unbranded) does not have a firmware for this model, and the security patch is from August 2017. So the question is, can I flash the stock version for the FD, region XXV (Vietnam unbranded)? Or is it better if I try ZTO (Brazil unbranded)?
Moderator from Sammobile said firmware from any region for this model should work, as long as the PDA and CSC contain FXX and OMX on their codes respectively.
Could you please help me out a little?
Thanks!
2nd attempt to add screenshots.
There is no need to flash anything if your phone is running ok. I have the duo in the UAE and it also shows only "F" not "FD".
I was getting security updates almost every month but not since August.

Hello everyone,
So the reason I'm asking for guidance and not straight up trying what I found is because this is my only phone and I cannot risk or afford fixing it if things hit the fan like i'd do with a spare or an old phone.
In addition the region code attached to it, the code is carried by different carriers and countries in the Gulf Area, some of which received Android 8 and some haven't. However since my phone wasn't purchased from STA, saudi telecom, I don't believe it received the updates distributed to the country,. So currently my phone was bought from a distributor in Saudi Arabia, which usually carries codes from different gulf countries. That region apparently hasn't received updates since earlier this year.
I'd appreciate just simple guidance for this process to get it right.
However I do LIVE in the UK and I would like to flash my phone to a UK region, I'm unsure which code to use and what files I would need to place in Odin.
Phone info:
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: SM-G935F, Unlocked (They usually require you to use a local sim card for a 5 minute call after which it's fully unlocked)
CSC: G935F0JV1DQIL
AP: G935FXXU1DQJ8
CP:G935FXXU1DQIL
Would it be possible to flash to UK BTU as they receive more frequent updates?
I don't know if this has any bearing but I'm using a Three sim card at the moment.. However I have used around 8 different sim cards/companies in this phone since i purchased it.
I would appreciate any advice on what files to place into Odin if I want to keep my data. (Or if I have to completely wipe it?) or shall I switch to another up-to-date OJV country like Emirates (UAE)?
Also i'm not sure what home_csc file is.
hope to hear from you guys soon.

good day
I purchased my device SM G935FD from Oman with CSC XSG (part of multiple CSC OJV middle east and some African countries). Even though I received OTA, I always install the full firmware upon officially released.
I upgraded my device from Android 7.0 to 8.0 using UK BTU firmware, the availability of which came first.
In short I downloaded the firmware from Updato (Sam Mobile slow and lagging) for the BTU firmware. Just to be sure you have to download the correct and appropriate firmware and also the latest Odin (Odin3v3.13.1) which was upgraded by Samsung to be utilized for Android 8.0 and higher versions.

Also, be sure to activate your Developers options and enable USB debugging and unlock OEM. Using Home_CSC will retain your user data while using CSC only will factory reset your device and start anew.

About Knox tripping?
Hello, I'm expecting to do something like this to my phone, but I'm wondering, will it trip Knox? Because you're changing the ROM, so I don't know
