[Help] xt907 won't boot into recovery after unlocking - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. Sorry for this post. But a while back, I unlocked my xt907 using the SunShine S-OFF and unlock tool, and now I can't enter recovery in the bootloader settings. Literally, It justs hangs on the warning screen and then reboots with the Droid animation. I've tried reflashing the recovery image so much times now. So is there any way to fix this issue, or do I need to say that this phone's done for?

I am on the 4.4.2 182.46.15 update. As for the recovery, I tried flashing TWRP from the Droid RAZR m Utility

[Q] Phone stuck at boot animation

I was recently on the official pac man rom for the droid razr m (4.2.2) and I wanted to go back to stock. I used RSD to do so with 4.1.2 fastboot zip. Now my phone boots up and gets stuck at the boot animation. Can someone please help me fix this?

I fixed the problem, I used option 1 on the Droid Razr M 1.20 utility. But now I can't root my phone with the utility or motochopper itself. Thanks for replying though! Can someone help with my root problem?

Stuck at Moto Dual Core logo screen

Hello,
I was in the process of flashing a ROM for the first time and when I was flashing a custom recovery through fastboot, I accidentally flashed it over the boot.img instead of the recovery.img and as a result, I think I broke the bootloader and the phone doesn't get past the Dual Core Moto logo screen.
I have the ability to enter stock recovery and the fastboot menu, but not sure what to do from here. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hmm just curious... I've never seen a RAZR m to have the Motorola duel core boot logo.... you do have a Motorola RAZR m xt907 and not like the og RAZR xt912/910 or the RAZR maxx?

Yes, pretty sure that I have the RAZR M.
I'm guessing you have an unlocked boot loader as you were trying to flash a recovery so...Download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40682385 chose option one... once flashed... boot up device... once booted root it... install voodoo.. protect root... install update.. restore root... install custom recovery if desired...

Thanks! I was able to restore the factory VZ image through RSD Lite. I'll try the root process later.

[Q] Can't boot into recovery

I can't boot into recovery. I rooted using towelroot, and unlocked my bootloader with Motopocalypse. I'm running Android 4.4.2. Recovery installed through fastboot. I have tried TWRP and ClockworkMod. When I boot into recovery, I get the Motorola unlocked device warning for a few minutes, then the device reboots normally. It does this when booting into recovery from the buttons, from adb, and from holding Power + Volume Up + Volume Down and selecting it.. help please?
Try flashing the recovery with rashr

What version did you use? Use dhacker's 2.7.1.0 TWRP, it is compatible with the KK update.

Use his links and then you can use rashr to flash a recovery from your storage.

Yes - flash dhacker's Kit Kat TWRP 2.7.1.0 and it will work. The BIOS (bootloader) for the RAZR M's Kit Kat update works differently now. I had the same problem as you, until I asked for the lead on where I should obtain the recovery. I used RDS Lite with modified XML to only flash the recovery but you ought be able to use any tool offered herein to flash it.

Can you post for me what worked for you? There were two quotes there and I didn't know which one worked and also do you have custom ROMs?

Use rashr, but this time, use the choose from storage option.

Or if you use RSD Lite: download it onto your PC then edit RSD Lite update XML to only flash the recovery image and place the TWRP image into the same folder XML is in (you may just rename TWRP file to recovery.img to make matter easier). And, delete MD5 checksum in recovery line so it can flash.

[Q] Razr M bricked while flashing 183.46.15 firmware

Hi
I have a problem regarding my Razr M xt907 (firmware: 182.46.15).
i was searching any method to root my phone and found this method for 183.46.15 (but my firmware was 182.46.15) :
forum . xda-developers . com/droid-razr-m/general/root-droid-razr-m-xt907-183-46-15-t3030852
I tried this method to root but i did'nt work. Somebody had written there that if I flash 183.46.15 using rsdlite than root can be possible using the said method.
So i downloaded the firmware: vzW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_1FF.xml
but flash failed at 15/17 system.img,
now my phone is stuck at AP fastboot,
Fastboo reason : flash failure
does someone know how to i can get out of this?????
Did it actually fail or did you stop the flash because it took so long? System usually takes a while to flash.

It was automatically failed.
But now the problem is solved, after I have download the latest rsdlite 6.1.6.
Older version was 5.7
And flashing successful with this version 6.1.6.
Now my firmware is changed from 182.46.15 to 183.46.15 and also after that I got Root access.
Thanks for your concern

Razr M hangs/freezes after 1Day of Use Help

Hi guys, I have a Razr M Xt907 with software vesrion 183.46.15) & the kernel date is 29th July, 2014).
Now the problem is that it hangs/freezes sometimes and Restarts. But in most cases it would just turn of and won't turn on normally, I have to factory reset from recovery to get it working again. Please help me out to solve thia issue. Ps: Wifi option if turned off doesn't turn on again, I have to restart to get it working too.
I suggest flashing the .15 factory firmware and see if the issues still persist.
