This is not my work. I found it on fake nexus thread. It modifies SystemUI apk using the one from Pixel system dump. It might hide some features from sytem ui tuner menu.

These are not flashable zips. Extract and install.

It is safe but I think it hides the navbar tuner and night mode option. If udont use those . Then there is no issue.
But as i always suggest take a system backup with recovery whenever you need to flash anything on the system partition..

No bugs till date.
Works fine on stock MM, 6.0.1. Though weather widget wouldn't actually show weather at first. The app didn't ask for any permission, so I went ahead in options and allowed location. But it still wouldn't show the weather, it was still the "old" time and date. But it took some time till I got on my phone again and now it's showign the weather too. Neat feature, I'm already used to the launcher after using it for days. Plus Xposed and N-ify module, feels like Nougat. The only thing I want is the white transparent block in the bottom, but I'll live.

Well the icon pack doesn't exactly work on the Pixel Launcher... Anyway, thanks for the other app suggested, I'm gonna try it out now.

the title says it was prepared for 9070P so you have to replace contents of /system/lib/tee folder from 9070 ROM

I'm glad I'm not the only one facing this issue.
For the rest, can you please make the statusbar transparant?
I think that a PA base would be better with this KitKat thingy. But your choice.

Good:-
No bugs yet.
In call volume is working.
Camera and camcoder working
Fast and smooth(just a little jerky when opening app drawer)
No restarts or force closes.
Battery seems to work good(havnt tested properly) but it seems to have a good life.
Not so good :-
No transparent status bar of kitkat.
Cannot control the vibration while typing on keyboard.
Apollo sucks (well for me)
No ringtones of kitkat.
File manager cannot read my sd card. (Root browser is all the way)

I'm using LMT because I hate navbar that takes up my screen. Stock sony launcher unfortunately leaves a gap if you get rid of navbar. I fixed it. Thanks @dipesh1502 for this tutorial. It really helped me.
Now the launcher uses the entire screen. I also added another row to the desktop.

He mentioned they used LMT, so this can be used like alternative soft key.
That's right. I'm using LMT instead of softkeys and gravitybox to remove the navbar.

I personally prefer mods that are not being hacked by anything in the runtime, but I might try to do that as an xposed module if you could point me to a guide of some kind.

OK.. So I have installed your modified home.apk into my system folder.. I've deleted my original home.apk and home.odex files... The launcher does remove the bottom gap.. but now the gap is at the top...
Very saddened by this.. I wanted a complete gapless xperia home launcher.. Without using anything else like nova or blinkfeed or anything
Any idea as to how I can now remove the top gap??

all of which are enabled with various tweaks amongst them enabled also
im running Stock KK 4.4.2, locked bootloader, dual recovery, SuperUserMod, rooted, SuperSU

Well, it has to be something in your modules as they're definitely modding Home.apk which is already modded. You'll have to check one-by-one which one is doing that.
Will update this home apk to the latest .108 firmware really soon.

right! diffrent dpi even the tab 4 launcher from the 7 inch model wich i tried to port doesn't fit the screen. the tab 4's are using a completely diffrent dpi!

I hope nobody will fill offended but I modified it to 8x5 apps grid. Like in the pictures below.

Try signing the apk using ZipSigner from Market. Then it might be installed as normal apk.
Does anybody have backup of stock t315 launcher ? I forget to backup, and now launcher just force close and won't work.
edit. Or does somebody know another way to get back to stock launcher ?

I have not tried that, but I might. But I do not want to override my current Touchwiz launcher with this one.
This guide will help you activate "Round Icons" on your android device. Take note that round icon isn't provided by launcher but the app itself. Every app that supports round icon will provide two type of icons (normal and rounded), so what will we do is enabling it using the round icons provided by different OEMs by changing the framework-res.apk in our devices.

Requirements:
- OxygenOS Open Beta 3 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1
- Custom ROM based on Android Nougat 7.1.1
- Must be rooted!
- Root Explorer
Navigate to this location: \root\system\framework\
Replace the current framework-res.apk file to the modified framework-res.apk which can be downloaded here.
Note: It is recommended to copy it from recovery, but you can also copy it directy via root explorer but your device will restart instantly
Last is clear the pixel launcher data
App Info -> Storage -> Clear Data
What I only did is I edited the \framework-res\res\values\bools.xml and change the value from
<bool name="config_useRoundIcon">false</bool>
to
<bool name="config_useRoundIcon">true</bool>
This will trigger the launcher to use the round icon of any apps that are supported.

Set the icon pack in look and feel.. Activate the drag up from setting in the launcher..
NO root needed..
NO custom rom needed..

Using nova launcher and choosing a circular icon pack turns all icons circular, not just what is in your dock.

I did this mod some days ago on LineageOS. It applies everywhere except inside the Play Store.
For example, you will see the regular square like icon of Gmail on the app's page, but the circular icon will be displayed everywhere else once it's installed. Recents and all.
After do it.. some app can't open, such as facebook, messeger, telegram,...

Yup, it's system-wide.
Good luck on that! Installing a third-party launcher and app when you can easily enable it in a snap. Provided that you are rooted, of course!

Set the icon pack in look and feel.. Activate the drag up from setting in the launcher..
NO root needed..
NO custom rom needed..

What if you don't like the inconsistency and tackiness of Nova Launcher and want it system-wide on a nicer launcher?
And just to be clear. This isn't going to work on 7.0 ROMs right?

If you do it manually, yes. Using the APK from OP on a ROM other than OB3 will bootloop.

I tried to upload screenshots. It failed. Now I tried again and it says "bad request". I'm new to xda. Please suggest how to do it.
I didn't install any beta app. I got the update directly

Tried to make a video. I didn't still found other features like live lockscreen
Picture in picture is also not working i have tried but won't worked on YouTube.... Statusbar is also same as earlier...should have changed as pixel2 but didn't ?

I think I've read that you need YouTube Reb for picture in picture. You could try the YouTube vanced app here on xda.
