Hi I've been modifying the 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) kernel, but I need to have power when in usb host mode.
Is there an option I can check when I make menuconfig?

Hey guys, so its great i can get access to my usb sticks on the vega so long as i remember to power up with the back button pressed, but i was juswt wondering if there is a way to get the vega into usb host mode if for whatever reason the device was started without back being pressed?
If not, is there a way to make the default start up selection be inusb host mode?
Thanks
USB Mode needs specific settings in the kernel at boot time. I think Corvus was suggesting an option on one of his ROM's to have host as the default. Otherwise, I believe the POV 1.10 defaults to host.
Thanks for the reply, it would be great if the devs could offer roms with and without usb host mode as default, at least until i can get my head around the android kernel so can offer it up as options.
Thanks
If you cannot connect your nexus 7 with 4.2 jellybean to your pc through usb i might have the fix. it will usually connect through camera mode without any problems, but you cant get to your other files, do this, start Debugging Mode by----
Go into Settings
Go to About Tablet
Press where it says Build Number at least 7 times, it will then give you developer options which is key to it all.
Then in system settings open Developer Options and enable USB Debugging,
Connect to PC and switch off of the camera usb thing.
Is it possible to enable USB Host Mode on a Droid X so I can use a mouse/keyboard on it?
I believe USB Host Mode support was only introduced in Android 3.0.1 and later. The latest stock Droid X runs Android 2.3.4, unless you have a non-standard build.
Hello,
I've installed the M2 then r140 on my Nexus 4 in 4.2.2 and have since frequent USB modem drop that I never had before with the official and rooted versions.
I've had this without modifying kernel parameters.
it looks like it is an USB issue:
- when I plug the USB, charging goes on but I need to deconnect/reconnect the plug so the USB be recognized to use it as a modem
- when my PDP changes (IP renewal), there is no deconnexion
Thus I guess this is an USB issue, any idea ?
Like the N7 Timur kernel (http://mehrvarz.github.io/usb-host-mode-power-management-nexus7/).
I would plug an dac in my car with an Y cable and charge my phone in the same time. Not finding that kernel patch for GN3.
