I would plug an dac in my car with an Y cable and charge my phone in the same time. Not finding that kernel patch for GN3.

I have rooted and unlocked my Nexus 7, and now I am able to use an USB stick to put my movies/music/books on. Which works great most of the time. But, I do come across a tiny problem. Its impossible to charge my Nexus while using the USB stick, or the other way around.
Do they exist, USB connectors for in my Nexus 7, with 2 USB-plugs, so I can at the same time charge and use my USB stick for movies?
It's possible with an otg y cable and a kernel that allows this mode. HERE a Thread about this function.
Thanks for the answer, but as I am not an expert on Rom/Kernel. I have paranoidandroid 3+ installed with stock kernel. What kernel would be recommended for this to work?
Try M-Kernel a46 if you have an y cable.
Anyone else having this issue? My Tab 4 7.0 does not recognize any peripheral plugged into it using the OTG cable. I've tried a mouse, keyboard and both a powered external HDD and unpowered usb thumb drive. These peripherals do work with my Note 2 so I know it's not the cable.
Kernel limitation
Hi, I have a SM-T230 and I tried to plug flash drives and HD and nothing works. I think this is a kernel limitation and flash a new kernel will resolve this problem, but I dont know which kernel is compatible.
I think a custom kernel on the 7.0 is impossible, it has what is suspected a combination recovery/kernel, as found by chainfire

Good day everyone, I would like to ask why my phone does not support OTG. I need your suggestions.
First my nexus 4 runs on Paranoid Android Rom v5.1 with quanta kernel v18. I also made my own otg y cable by connecting the red and black wires. I tried to use otg but my phone does not connect to my flash drive. When I connect it, the phone charges and the flash drive blinks its led light so it means that my wiring is Ok. What could be the problem?

My nexus have:
Root, unlocked bootloader and i flash recovery TWRP.
I flash Timurs kernel from the rootzwiki
And download from the first URL: cm-10.1-20130817-USBROM-grouper
All working but i plug usb DAC > 5V 3A power supply and otg Y cable.
This working, music play with amplifier.
But i plug other device, pendrive or RTL2832u then DAC not working.
When unplug all devices and connected to OTG only DAC music working

hello together, I have a small problem and although I wanted to plug my S7 Edge (DBT 8.0) with a Y-cable to a DAB + receiver and hang on the second input a power supply to charge the phone incidentally. I read that in the kernel a USB host file must be changed. Unfortunately, I could not find any custom firmware or kernel that can. Maybe you can help me?
