Formatted internal memory - no boot - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently wished to install a NORMAL GNU/Linux distro (Debian specifically) on my Android T230. I booted TWRP, opened the terminal and erased /dev/block/mmcblk0. I created a new MBR/Partition Table, and new partition, of type ext4 (using fdisk). There, I pushed Debian files, using adb. I installed them on that partition. Then I set up GRUB (arm-uboot), and installed it in the MBR. I rebooted the system, but it did not boot normally, recovery nor odin mode. It does not even look to turn on (if you know the difference between the powered off screen and whole black screen, it's powered off).
I have some questions:
Is there a way to do that. other than buying a new one?
The warranty was void already. If I brought it to a Samsung service and paid a bit, would they accept it? Would they make it boot or factory reset it?
Can I recover it by connecting it to a PC somehow?
What is exactly happening?
Was Odin Mode SERIOUSLY on internal memory card???
What GRUB should I install if not arm-uboot? arm-efi? Or what bootloader is T230 using?
Can I recover the package files/stuff?

Huawei Ideos X5 Boot Problem

Hi to everyone , I connected my phone via usb to my computer and from my fault i deleted internal sd memory data and now phone wont boot , what should i do now ? . Thnx for your time ...
So many views and none can help or answer ??
You haven't provided enough information. What exactly have you deleted? The contents of the bootloader (pink screen)? Or the actual contents of the SD card?
I delete all data and partitions from internal sd /memory , for example it has 2GB internal sd and 512 RAM when i did that , it had 4GB but when i unplug it from pc wont boot after that.
Did you try to do this: http://android.modaco.com/topic/341374-custom-you-data-partitions-size/ ??
Can you still go into recovery mod?
If not, then you need to go into bootloader (hold Vol+,Vol- and Power until the screen turns pink), connect the usb cable and tell me what files you have in the "image" folder.
If you can boot into recovery mod(hold Vol+ and Power), then from Recovery Mod go to mount and storage, mount the sd card and copy a custom Rom (this should do http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1147103) in the root directory, then go to install zip from Sd card and select the zip that contains the Rom.
Let me know how you go.
I cant go into recovery mod and bootloader because phone dont start or boot , even if i connect it to pc cant read sd card , i think from deleting all this , phone lost all os and now it need to send it to huawei to reinstall it or ??
Recovery.img is located in the bootloader, that memory is not accessible from Recovery or any other tool...In less you actually deleted the files from bootloader (pink screen).
If nothing happens when you hold VOL+,VOL- and Power, then send it back to warranty.
i switched my phone off, then on and it get stuck on the ideos animated screen..
i removed the battery, then turned it on but still, then i tried to hard reset with +-power,i got a pink screen,i removed the battery again(couldnt turn it off)and then i turned it back on,it again got stuck on loading screen...I havent any roms installed,i have rooted it thogh, what's wrong? does rooting, void warranty?
So you can boot to bootloader mode(you can exit from this mode only if you remove battery). Then you can flash again the rom. Try to find an official rom, better the rom that device has before, if you know which you had. In rom's zip file there is a folder called dload. Put this folder on the external sd card, boot to bootloader and the installation will begin automatic.
do i need to have the sd card formatted or it doesnt matter?
i go to recovery mode,i connect the phone to the pc,i rename the original recovery.img to .bak, copy the recovery image(clockwork),dissoconnect the phone from pc,remove battery, enter recovery mode but yet again i get the pink screen....What am i doing wrong?
by the way i have the sd card removed.
I don't know what you have done, but you don't need the recovery to flash a stock rom.
You don't need to format sd card also, just put the dload folder on root of your sd.
If you successfully flash the stock rom it will put all files in the right place, so after you can root the device and replace the stock recovery with a custom one.
i installed a custom rom but still after reboot, the phone stays on log screen(ideos animated)...
So, you have a completly different situation from the user created this thread. You should make a new thread or mentioned here, beacause this lead to confusion.
I think that accidentaly you pushed both vol buttons and for this bootloader mode appears.
Try to use adb or an app for this(QtADB, android commander, Ultra ADB gui) to be sure and to avoid to use the button combination. Of course you need to connect device with adb for this. You can do it from windows command prompt too, by writing adb shell -> reboot recovery.
If you stack at animated screen try to do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache first. The first boot maybe delay before it gets you to the home screen.
recovery.img change
I need help with this also
I have nothing in my folder at all??
What should i do??
Thanks

Wiped system in Terminal Emulator and now Iconia Tab won't boot

After I rooted my A500, I wanted a clean slate to work with, but when I tried factory resetting, everything stayed exactly the same as if the factory reset wouldn't complete. I tried wiping through ROM manager as well again with no results. I went into terminal emulator and gained superuser permissions, then typed in 'wipe' and it gave me the option to wipe the system or something else. Long story short, I typed in to wipe the system and everything went to hell. I got force close notifications one right after the other, my tablet popups starting coming up in different languages, and then the tablet shut off. When I went to reboot it, it stopped at the Acer logo screen. I had CWM recovery installed or so I thought (I had it installed through ROM manager but I can't boot into recovery or anything now). When I boot with the power button and Vol- it says:
Erasing Cache before SD update...
SD update cmd: recovery
--update_package=SDCARD: update.zip
Booting recovery kernal image
Recovery verified failed...
I've tried booting with the power button and Vol+ and flipping the rotation lock and after clearing the Userdata and Cache and rebooting, it sticks on the logo screen. I've read countless forums both here and elsewhere about downloading an update.zip to the SD card and letting the update run its course but nothing happens. I have no recovery access, no fastboot access, no CPUID, no nandroid backup, and no way to push files to the tab except through the external SD card.
The computer will recognize the device as an MTP device when plugged in via USB, but the drivers won't install. I've manually installed drivers from the Acer website and multiple third parties with no luck.
I really have no other ideas so I thought I'd come to you guys. Literally any help whatsoever would be appreciated so thanks in advance

SM-G935F stuck on samsung logo after twrp - way to go back?

So I flashed twrp-3.1.1 using odin3.
I am able to boot into twrp, but cannot start the system (stuck on samsung logo)
I read that I should format data partition.
My question is - can I go back to stock bootloader and recover my data or am I lost here?
[edit] or is there any other way to access my files that are on the phone (and not on sd-card)?

You can try flashing the recovery.img from youe firmware.tar.md5, just extract it and put in on your phone (mtp is enabled in twrp so you can see your files)

Thank you, that was good way to go.
Now after flashing the AP and BL files I managed to start the system. But the system is slow and unusable now, I keep getting
- "com.sec.epdg has stopped"
- "IMS Service has stopped"
I see that data is there. Is there a good way to fix this?
I think you have to flash system.img.
You won't loose any data

You can access your files from TWRP
You said you are able boot into twrp.
Now connect a usb cable to your computer and you have full access to internal and external storage from the computer.
And you can use the file explorer in twrp
(TWRP --> Advanced Options)

Well, not anymore - I went back to stock firmware and I am trying to fix phone behaviour.
I got the same problem, but before flashing the TRWP i accidentialy mounted my internal storage and forgot to unmount it, i am now unable to acces the internal storage or unmount it, the boot also sucks on samsung logo.
I also flashed magisk and amsung antiroot removal, but boot still stucks at the samsung logo.
Can i just flash the original recovery via odin, and try to unmount the internal storage again? Pls help

So, do you have any important data on the phone ?
And can you access TWRP ?

Phone only boots with factory mode. I did something wrong.

I have the MetroPCS xt1765 running lineageos 14.1. When unlocking and doing all that jazz, the guide said that you can't flash twrp, only boot it. But I got annoyed that /data wouldn't mount so I just tried to flash it anyway and it worked. On cmd it said that the file wasn't signed or corrupt, but it still wrote to the device. I thought nothing about it at first but when I tried to boot the device it automatically when into twrp. I tried to reboot to system again, and the same thing happened.
Eventually /data successfully mounted and I was able to format it and install linage. I hoped that would fix the problem but it's still there. I believe I would need the stock boot image and probably stock recovery as well. I hope someone out there has these files.
Also when booting with factory mode, my data isn't working at all. The apn setting are right and all, but it's not working.

When it was booting to twrp only, you just select reboot bootloader and in bootloader select start and you will get system. This twrp doesn't read and clear bootloader control block (BCB) properly which causes this. There is a fix. I'll find the link.
Do you mean fastboot/bootloader mode? If yes, try this

Phone memory corrupted, 0mb displaying in TWRP, help me fix it

Hello,
I have an old Lenovo A6000 Phone which has corrupted memory i assume. It does not want to flash even after letting it sit for 8 hours straight the download is stuck and when booting TWRP 3.1.1-0 x64 image it displays 0mb internal storage but reads the sd card fine.
It used to work fine, I had AOSP installed in it with the HEX-FIRMWARE-PATCH FOR ARM64. if my memory didnt fail me, it stoped working after i tried to restore it to the original firmware.
NOTE that twrp recovery doesnt boot and its stuck in the loading screen of lenovo, I ACCEESED IT THROUGH FLASHING IT RESTARTING BACK AGAIN TO BOOTLOADER THEN BOOTING IT IN FASTBOOT
NOTE THAT IF I DONT FLASH IT AND RESTART IT DOESNT BOOT FROM THE BOOTLOADER AND IT JUST GETS STUCK.
i have managed to run 3.0.1 x32 and 3.1.1-0 x64 and both show 0mb memory and DOESNT WANT TO REPAIR THE PARTITIONS NOR WIPE THEN AND UNABLE TO MOUNT.
i have an old twrp 2.7.1 but it doesnt work, i guess from the patch.
From what i have read around here, there is a way to reformat or repair the phone through the terminal command but it was for another phone and i am a bit lost what to specify for the partitions on this phone.
If anyone has an idea how to fix it or can just give some hints where i can find the blocks names it would be really helpful. Thank you!
