Even after relocking with RAW firmware and unlocking with ASUS apk, this issue hasn't 100% fixed at now...

[Q] Password/Pin 4 unlock not working!

Hi I'm on 4.4.2 GNG1 with stock rom and kernel on my N9005 rooted!
Today I was trying to set an unlock password without success... when I'm on settings and I wrote the selected password for the 2nd time the phone freeze and after 30 second the sd is unmounted and the phone has not password 4 unlock... I have tried all the option to protect my phone but always freeze and sd unmount... so I can set only swipe to unlock or the "nothing" option...
Anyone can help me?

well that mite be the problem.
you need to update to latest bootloader and modem.. at your own risk as i am not sure if it can be downgraded or not
but i have come across similar issues when using newer roms on older versions of bootloader and modem and the pin lock does not work
before doing anything make sure you have ur brick image, backup of ur rom, and efs partitions,
and as i said do it at your own risk..
are you rooted ? knox ??

well there is no risk ..if you do it properly...but as i said its always good to have backups.. and your brick image on external sd card
its just that some ppl ..i have no idea why .. always want to downgrade to old bootloaders.. if you are not one of them.. then i would say go for it

Any solution to screen freezes after unlocking bootloader?

Did any one find the solution for screen freezes issue after unlocking bootloader? I want to install custom roms/kernels but can't do so
Tried the 6 scripts by @ozank ... But no success...
I found many users facing this issue.
You just need to flash the custom recovery and relock the bootloader again.

The phone doesn't boot if kernel and/or rom is custom(non stock based) and bootloader is relocked. It just shows a usb sign.

May be you are using an old file of tank042, some of the files available there are corrupted. Doesn't help to relock the bootloader.
I tried all possible solutions. Sadly, there's no way to fix this.
Throw your device in trash (I'll do this with my Zenfone)

Possibly not a good solution. I have my zenfone that even doesn't boot. No fastboot, no boot and recovery.

Try the debrick method. It will recover the fastboot with its original source. Don't do this if your phone is not hard bricked.
It may brick your phone too.

help fingerprint sensor

So I installed the revolution mod ( nougat ) and my fingerprint sensor was not working so I installed the stock firmware and because there were no fingerprints saved on stock , I factory reseted the phone , then I installed the revolution rom again and it was working for few days but now it stopped working again ( sometimes it does not recognize it and sometimes it doesnt even vibrate Like i would not even have my finger on it )
To me that sounds like an hardware issue and therefore needs to be sent in for repair.
I don't think it's an hardware issue.. the ROM has some problem with some people, I suggest you to try stock ROM for a few days to verify if the problem is related to your device or the ROM.

To me it sounded he installed stock and it did not work there either.
Ofc if it works in stock it should be related to the custom ROM.

Or did you use the new rollback methods?

Well if you are on a Nougat build, you cannot just flash a MM update.app
You either need to flash an OEMinfo file first (old method) or use the official Huawei rollback method (new method).
If you did none of that, that might be the reason why your phone does not boot.

Well that is a problem.
You need to get that code it is your only option.
This can be done with the DC Unlocker but it will cost you a few bucks and you need to find a guide in here or somewhere else. Or you just figure it out yourself. I have never used it.
You can also try to get the code again by using the Huawei site but you need your IMEI and some other stuff. I guess some of it can be found on the packaging that your device came with...

I mean you might try to find a way to get the needed information with adb but I do not know how. Maybe a Google search can provide more info.
There are also several threads in here where people tried to recover the bootloader code from a bricked device.
Just make sure to SAVE it somewhere safe once you retrieve it

Yeah that is the big problem...
Normally you get it over the phone dialer but since you are in bootloop...
I don't know...
There are programs out there that generate the product ID but I have no clue if they work for this device.
Use the huawei site where you get the unlock code and you will find that the id is found by typing a code on the phone dialer.... there you will find what to type on the phone.

Restoring ,Flashing

Hello to everyone,
I am asking you for one more time your help. I got my friends P9 lite VNA-L31.
The device has a problem and i tried to restore it but no luck.
Also i tried to flash twrp recovery but i am getting an FAILED error. I wanted to restore it from that section but no luck too.
I noticed that the phone and the frp are unlocked.
The devices is running EMUI 5.0 ,ANDROID 7.0
There some photos of the device when i am trying to boot or to restore it.
Please help me.
Use dload method to flash stock firmware. This will lock the bootloader as well
Fastboot is lock again, 100%) Try back to MM via three buttons.

I have been stitching and changing locations many times, and your photo is not a 100% guarantee that the phone is unlocked. To begin, try again to enter the unlock code.

Which firmware you are trying ?
(I haven't tried blankflash nor i know more about it) but If you flashed older firmware, gpt (partition) will not get installed, that could be reason. Get september's update and try it : here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138
