Hi I was wondering if there was anyway to change the axon 7's screenshot method. It takes to long and if I take a screenshot of messages or a picture on Snapchat it takes me all the way back to the beginning of the messages or their story. Any help please?
Use the option in Gestures to do a three finger pinch, its so much faster and easier!

Yes but it still takes me to another window and I have to press the check mark in order to save it. It's quite annoying and no other Android phone I've ever used has done this. :/

That's to make notes to your screenshots.
Great feature, at least for me. I use that a lot.

Saw your post title. Was also hoping for a solution to this issue. Just set up my phone yesterday and found this issue. It would be nice if they had a setting option, so you could turn this edit feature off if you didn't want this extra step.

Too me it look just like an additional hardware button to a LED directly connected to the battery. You'd have to push both buttons!
A more skillfully performed project would allow you to use one of the GPIO's with a hacked Camera app to trigger the flash.
Can you find anything similar in English? Looks like a really awesome project to do
Maybe a capacitive button could be added with some tweaking

Well, I dont think it could work as normal flash because i think the kernel doesnt have the needed libs or drivers?
Anyway camera still not working properly on CM9 for SGS+
Is our phone the only one of Galaxy Series who doesnt have integrated flash?
Why would you install an additional led when the phone is not designed for it
I think that is just kinda unneeded

It's not like it's just there to look cool. It's a flash for the camera. A lot of scenes need flash to improve the picture.

Looks quite nice, bu for me it's to risky to mod my phone like that. I would rather prefer to raise money to by a phone with builtin flash

It strikes me that you might be able to accomplish an LED upgrade without needing to find any new way of triggering it. You could use a small SMD mosfet connected in place of the existing LED, to switch on a higher current LED that was regulated with a single AMC7135 fed from a battery feed. All three components (AMC7135, SMD mosfet, and LED) could fit on one very tiny accessory board.
I'm not familiar with the SGS to know whether there is room for this, but it could certainly be made quite small.
All new Features:
~App shortcuts.
~Rounded icons.
~Duo app.
~Little Change in the interface of camera app.
~The update brings back the tap the Fingerprint to pop out Navigation bar and status bar feature while in full screen mode.
~New restart option.
~The Android update installation now shows a progress bar and the “optimizing apps” screen is now gone.
Battery
~Not much difference in battery.
Feels pretty much the same.

Yes, dynamic app-shortcuts are beautiful. Take a look at this screenshot from android 7.1.1 with pixel launcher and you can see. Best update ever. Thanks motorola. Feels good!
Would someone be so kind and run one of the GPSTest or GPS Test apps to see if they added Galileo support?
Thanks!
I have found one more new feature. Now there is a reboot button on the power-button menu. That's pretty kewl. Don't have found bugs until now. Works very good. If I found a bug I will tell you.

Not only brightness, but gamma as well. But that's pixel exclusive. Google had the code hidden on 7.0, which few apps from play store been able to expose as well. Those apps used to work on my previous Nexus phones, but never worked on MZP. Now we have 7.1 and unfortunately Google has erased the code completely... Now we can't reveal it through any 3rd party apps anymore...but few OEMs have their own solution like One Plus, Moto Z2 Play
Is the android 7.1.1 really so much bigger? On android 7.0 I had 1.5GB free on system-partition. 800MB bigger? Why? Or is the update.zip in there and must be removed? Would like to understand that. Thanks!

But is it normal that the system partition is so much bigger? I mean, there is more in the partition as before. 800MB more. For what? Or I'm wrong and I remember wrong values from before? :silly: Or is it for the update.zip? But would it be so, then android would remove it after update, or? Can you check how it is on your phone, please Hope that I'm not switch off the usb plug to early

I have the same as your results.
I have switched to Nova launcher and changed everything I can to dark theme without resorting to Substratum.
The ONE thing that still annoys me is the incredibly bright Phone APP and Dialer screens. Especially when a call comes in/answered it's full screen light blue!
Anyone have a fully working solution?? Root or non-root, OTHER than Substratum?

I used non root substratum and changed everything to dark. I don't see any other way.

The LCD screen lights stay on regardless of theme color. AMOLED has individual pixels which a dark theme has potential to save battery.
I'm not looking to save battery, just eliminate the glare from hideous screens (Call/Dialer/etc.)
Is anyone else having an issue where contacts are showing duplicates just because they are on WhatsApp, viber, allo, etc? I can't seem to find a way to stop it. I've hidden duplicates on the contact app but not been able to on the phone app

I'm not sure if that's specific to Essential... But I've fixed it by making sure a sync just happened... And then wiping data on Contact Storage... And Contacts... Then forcing another sync...
It takes some time for everything to come back... But it fixed it for me...
It still shows wonky in a couple of other apps... But I don't care enough to mess with it

On Oreo there a fingerprint api that allows for reading directional swipes and stuff

btw my is really slow right ?
i found one funny issue with my pie control, if i open pie control in any screen other than home screen, it work perfectly but in home screen it take few second to load, any one have idea what it cause ?
I am actually taking back my recommendation on this app...
more than once I have had it kind of "take over" my screen.
What I mean is, any touch on my screen is attempting to touch something in PIE control (and not actually graphically showing PIE control, btw).
you effectively can't do anything at that point.
Its been a few days since I stopped using it, but I really did pretty exhaustively try to figure out how to stop this.
I really liked this app's "swipe" method instead of pulling the PIE out and having to like hold on a button for a quick sec, this app lets you do it in a smooth swiping motion.
Anyways, ive given up and gone back to onscreen navigation keys.
Every method I have tried (including XDA's navigation) has had some small hangups that eventually have problems working.
And no I haven't reported errors and such in respective threads, I just give up because my "lots of effort into having a hacky phone" days are behind me
I have tried both alternatives to the lack of one on the 6T. Nice apps ,but just not working out for me .. considering all the posts on the subject, does OP have any plans for a fix/update, @funkwizard? Thanks in advance
Have moved over to the OnePlus community.. Moderator, would you close this please? Thanks in advance

I'll be honest, I don't miss the LED notification. It really frees me to not be a slave to the phone. I use Mighty Text on the phone and at least while I'm home, notifications will show up on my laptop. The last few days I've been using their Chrome plugins which adds more notifications to the desktop, but I'm about ready to uninstall that because it can be really annoying.
I miss the LED terribly but haven't had time to look at the software alternatives. I often need to have the phone completely silent/no vibration, and not being able to see what's going on via varicolored strobing LED is a miss. Love the phone otherwise, but I really gotta sort out a solution using ambient display or some such, without killing the battery.
