Changing CSC without root and Factory Reset - Galaxy S6 General

Hi,
My last understanding of changing the CSC was that performing this would include a factory reset when not rooted. But I noticed that just flashing a official firmware via Odin from another country also changes your CSC.
Just wanted to inform the ones trying to do this but body loosing all data.

Active CSC code

Hi guys,
I recently bought an S5 which was on 3 UK. I've downloaded the S5 BTU Firmware and installed it through Odin.
I then factory data reset after installing but when I connect to Kies, it's still saying that my phone's CSC is H3G. I've downloaded Phone Info and it says my CSC is BTU but the active CSC is H3G/BTU.
How do I get rid of the H3G so I can get full BTU OTA updates? I'm not sure how to go about it as I thought that a factory reset would sort the CSC problem.
Any help would be great
Thanks.
***EDIT***
Seems I found the problem. I forgot to go into recovery after flashing BTU firmware.
Went into recovery and now all is sorted and i'm on full BTU

I have the same problem with multi csc. How do you sorted it out from recovery? Also, does it wipe all data?
Thanxxx!
*#272*{IMEI}# brings up a menu to select the carrier
reboot again into recovery to set up CSC code.

[Q] BTU firmware didn't stick properly???

Hi,
Had a Vodafone branded S5, and I just downloaded the BTU generic firmware and flashed it over.
None of the phone was reset, the apps were still there, apart from the vodafone bloat, that had gone.
Running a phone info app, it says original CSC is VOD, firmware CSC is BTU, active CSC is VOD/BTU
Anyway of totally flashing BTU and getting it to reset fully? I flashed using Odin 3.09 using the firmware in AP and F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot ticked
Do a data factory reset and reflash the firmware again. That should solve the issue. Had the same with my T-Mobile unlocked S5.

Doing a factory reset now has it as:
Original CSC = BTU
Firmware CSC = BTU
Active CSC = VOD/BTU

Reflash the BTU firmware once again, first uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin and after the flash pull the battery, boot into recovery and factory reset/wipe cache and it should say BTU CSC.

A few factory resets and a couple of further flashes and it looks like we're there!!

[Q] How to change CSC without root my device

Hi guys!
After I flesh new firmware (stock ROM, no root) with ODIN 3.09, my CSC code is independently changed to a different region. I tried to flash several times and the same thing is repeated to the same firmware selects a different region, another CSC from successfully applied multi-CSC. How can I change and go back to my region CSC, without root my device (I have a stock ROM that is not the root). Thank you!
Try the dialer code below to change your CSC. Note that this will do a factory data reset as well.
Or use Odin to install a stock firmware from your carrier.

.
Wrong CSC

Thanks for your help, but that code (*#272*<IMEI>#) does not work and I tried several times with ODIN to install the stock ROM in its region and always the same, successfully installed ROM, successfully installed a multi CSC, but other regions, not the one that was before.

If you factory reset right after the flash the CSC might stick, if not reflash the rom again without a wipe with Odin and it should be good.
Thanks I'll try

How to return from firmware United Kingdom BTU G928FXXU2AOJ5 last firmware. to France XEF G928FXXU1AOH3 firmware. i tried meny times but failed.. end any time to flash btu firmware the csc it is not change. end after clear cache end clear cache factory reset. why;;
Knox is preventing downgrade. Even i'm unable to flash an older stock rom. You can try flashing the newer rom for ur specific region
you can not downgrade boot loader

Multi CSC - stuck with TPH

Hey guys
I decided to try out BTU firmware, but now want to get back to my old one as I plan to sell the phone.
No matter what I seem to be trying I cannot get my CSC to go back to what it originally was (SEB) as it keeps reverting back to TPH for whatever odd reason. Both are part of the SM-G928F OXX multi CSC; so it's all cool, but why the phone specifically chooses TPH...? That beats me. I even tried to initialize it using the Smart Switch - still no luck.
Is there any to force the device to change that without rooting the device?
When you change the csc do a hard format it will or should go back to default csc.
I do a downgrade to 5.1.1 via odin with phone efs clear checked , factory reset and back to 6.0.1 from the region (csc) i want !!!
My Solution, but with Root
Since my Operator activated VoLTE and Wifi-Calling I wanted to go back to my original CSC. But I had for long the same problem as above and finally found a way, but only by rooting my device:
My Operator Firmware SWC is in a Multi-CSC from Vodafone Group. After installing a custom rom, which was not containing my initial CSC, i stuck on the default CSC SIM (Slovenia) when I wanted to go back to my original CSC/Stock Firmware. No matter what I did, i was not able to get my original CSC!!
Here what I did (Attention, will fully wipe all data and tripping Knox):
1. Clean install: Download and flash your Stockfirmware with SamFirm and Odin
2. Do initial setup until your device is ready to use, and you are able to install apps
3. Go back in Download Mode an root your device with Chainfire CF Auto Root (flash .tar with Odin, do not install a custom recovery!)
4. once rebooted, install Shortcut Master (Lite) from the Play Store
5. In the Shortcut Master choose the "Secret Code Explorer"
6. Browse the codes until 83052020........... (Preconfig, PreconfigBroadcastReceiver), open it with root method
7. Now you can choose your original CSC and click on Install
8. Your device will now do a Factory Reset and change to your new/old CSC!
9. You can setup your device again and you should be back on your CSC you wanted to be!
=> The trick is, that only the original recovery is performing a correct change of CSC! As long you as you have a custom recovery, it will most probably not work!
I hope that way will help other to solve this problem.
I need help. my s6 G928T sim no detcted
