Anyone else has a problem with the clock widget?
Feels like it only updates the time once in a few hours.
Mine does that to! I have installed another clock widget. But i rather use the zte one. But sadly It just does not update the time.

Same problem here. B03 - G model
Does the MiAssistant block it from auto-starting or puts it to deep-sleep? Check the power options per app.
It does not show up in the energy saver list, so where to check this?

I haven't tested the stock clock (I'm on B03 too).
The first thing I did was to install "clock" from google play store. It's AOSP/CM's stock clock and widget. No problems at all.
+1
I have the same trouble with MiFavour clock widget. It only refresh to a current hour when I keep adding and deleting from screen.

Hello.
I'm having several issues with the default android weather widget.
I'm using CM7 weekly 4# (Dec 10th) and wiping doesn't solve it, neither does deleting its data folder in /sdcard/android/data/ (which has the words "news-content-cache" in it and I don't use the news feature).
First problem is that even though it's set to auto update, it only updates when I tap the widget to open it. sometimes it doesn't do that either.
Second problem is that when I tell it to update manually it does nothing at all, I have to press the "i" button at the top right to show the daily forecast and only then it starts to update.
Third problem is that it fails to update 9 out of 10 times, even if I set the location manually and not "use my location".
On both WiFi and cell connection.

I'm not using any task killers and pretty much "stock" cm7 weekly 4#.
This is weird for me because my former Motorola Milestone with cm7 didn't have any of those issues.
So the question is, what am I doing wrong?
Get "Weather & Toggle Widget " from market see if it works better .

Thank you for replaying.
"Weather & toggle widget" is not a free app so I rather not spend money on testing, instead I installed "Weather widget" by the same developer.
It works fine, Oddly enough the stock weather widget stopped giving me update errors for now.
I rather not use third party applications for something that is available by default.
Plus the default widget is simple and clean, the ones in the market are too "pretty"
Edit:
Uninstalling the weather widget from the market makes the stop widget give update errors as I wrote in the first post, installing the weather widget from the market make the stock widget update normally.
Any one has any idea why that is?
Edit 2 : ignore previous edit.
Has anyone had a problem where widgets will not update (for example, weather widgets don't refresh and switch widgets don't show a change in state)? I had thought I traced my issue to Be weather, and switched to Beautiful Widgets and after working fine for a day or two it has started to cease updating every few hours and require me to restart the launcher. I noticed this on Apex and Go Launcher.

Some Samsung specific widgets will not update if you are using a different launcher

The widgets I am referring to are third party - BeWeather and Beautiful Widgets appear to potentially "cause" an issue, but once the issue occurs, all widgets are impacted.

My internet access works fine (I still get emails) - and once I restart the launcher it automatically updates. Plus I have played with the network optimizer function (new feature that will go on and off WiFi depending on the ability to get on the internet) on and off and the same thing happens.

The re-update switch in the widgets doesn't work. Updating launchers and widgets to latest versions does not work. All widgets just become unresponsive including switch widgets (I use switchpro). They will perform the function (I.e. on a weather widget the update happens in the background and the switch will perform whatever function its tied to) but it will not display (I.e. the switch widget will not show the change in state and weather widgets will not show the updated weather).

Lol - I hang out with all apple guys. I do know one person with an S5, uses Go Launcher and has this issue with the Accuweather widget and the stock weather widget (which I believe was also powered by accuweather on the back end). I noticed that, regardless of the widget I was using, I still show BeWeather as an active process, so I went ahead and uninstalled it. I still have the issue however.
PS - I have no issues with my Nexus 7 (2012) which runs Kitkat as well.
Interestingly enough, the problem seems to have fixed itself. There were updates to Apex in the meantime, perhaps its that.
My friend with Go Launcher is also seeing the same impact - the issue is gone.

Calendar widget quit updating
Just today, my calendar widget stopped updating. Just says "No upcoming calendar events." I've tried the stock and Agenda Widgets - nothing. I'm running Google Now launcher, but they don't work in Touchwiz Launcher either. I noticed yesterday that the number of items on the widget began to dwindle.
Any fix for this?
Well, trust me I did everything for my Xperia L when I encountered this problem.
What I did for my device

Look two three posts before it for more information!
What fixed it was taking battery out for few minutes and putting it back again!
Hey guys, if you stop the cashed process for touchwiz home, the widgets immediately start updating. I'm using a verizon Samsung galaxy s5 4.4.4 kitkat. Just thought I'd throw that in...
I've noticed that the weather data in the lock screen is not updating anymore. It's stuck at 20C for two or three days. Anything I can do to refresh it "by hand"?
Thanks!
I have noticed that if "location" is switched off, then the weather doesn't update anymore....I leave my "location" switched on...no more issues
Place the Weather Widget on your screen, set the refresh time. You also have to enable location, I recommend network based, not GPS which is battery drainer.

I'm on a TMO S8 running 950U CRE2. I've noticed that I no longer get severe weather alerts. It happens in both 1Weather and WeatherBug. When I open the app the notification will appear but not until I open the app. Any ideas? Since it's happening in two different apps it's not app related. All other notifications seem to work.

Sounds like something is off with your location settings. Do those apps have permission to access your location?

I thought the same thing as initially I did not but set the location manually. I since have changed it to enable the app to use location info. But it didn't help. I'm wondering if it's a global location issue.

Figured it out. I had to include WeatherBug to the do not monitor list for power management.

I removed the stock widget that came on my home screen and tried several widgets from the play store, and was unable to find one that I liked. Unfortunately I cannot see to locate the original one. I see the clock widget that had no weather info, and the weather widget is too large. Can anyone help me out with this (or another suggestion)? I just want something small that just displays time, date, and temp. Thanks.
Chronos clock and weather widget has a lot of options, I'm using the paid and have been for years so I may see more than you.
Stock widget is called OnePlus Widget
