I removed the stock widget that came on my home screen and tried several widgets from the play store, and was unable to find one that I liked. Unfortunately I cannot see to locate the original one. I see the clock widget that had no weather info, and the weather widget is too large. Can anyone help me out with this (or another suggestion)? I just want something small that just displays time, date, and temp. Thanks.
Chronos clock and weather widget has a lot of options, I'm using the paid and have been for years so I may see more than you.
Stock widget is called OnePlus Widget

Where can i find the default tmobile clock / weather widget?
I recently flashed to CM7 but liked the clock / weather widget that was on the stock Tmobile ROM. Any suggestions on how to get this back?
THanks!

I think you mean the sense clock weather widget. that commonly used widget is htc's, not tmobile's

Yeah. The stock clock/weather widget is part of HTC Sense. That's why you don't see it when using an alternative homescreen launcher. Also, that's why other widgets that used that style widget had to change it.
ok that must be why I cannot find it! I think the HTC Sense stock was by far the best. It had weather alaram and clock on the home screen...then it also had multiple alternate locations. Any that are comparable to that?
there are settings within both beautiful widgets and fancy widgets pro where you can set up what i believe your talking about. for instance under advanced settings you can set up when you touch the clock it open's a app, lets say you want that 2b your alarm..you can change it 2 that or any other app you wish. you can make touching the date start the calender and clicking on the sun/moon will start the weather. Both have a sence-like feel, like under settings you can check to have the clouds move when unlocking the phone. I myself like beautiful widgets a lil better but perhaps check youtube 4 a video on each b4 you decide which you may like better. well hope this helped some.
I managed to overwrite the stock weather widget from the Samsung Apps with a different style but i'd like to go back to the original weather widget. Any ideas if this is possible?

if you go to settings-applications-manage applications and choose the widget from there you may see an option which says ''Uninstall updates''
this is how it works in SGS but I am not sure about sgs2. it should work the same. just give it a try...
What warfanax said. I also updated, but the 'new' weather clock was broken - no locations were recognised. I uninstalled and got my old widget back (which is much better because it can be resized).

I am a totally newbie for smartphones and android but I am suffering that weather gadget as well.
It says sunny in London today!!! yes, probably behind that clouds...
I adhere to your post, if anybody know a better alternative, many thanks.
maybe its just really hopeful and thinks it will be sunny everywhere
mine does the same, in liverpool today its grey and overcast and it says sunny
I've replaced mine with "Go Weather Widget". Very nice. Provides plenty of information and so far reports accurate weather for UK.
Download "beautiful widgets",,,the best set of widgets for clock/weather & other toggles.
Loads of themes/clock skins/weather skins & animations to choose.
Great is Palmary Weather
Nexus S Genie Widget
If you have root you can try Nexus S Genie Widget.
You have to copy it to /system/app
No need to install, just copy and it will be available in widgets.
I attached semi transparent version. You can find transparent and other types here on xda.

AT&T S4
Ok, does anyone have the calendar widget listed in their options for lock screen widgets
No I was just looking to do this as well. I'd love to have the 5X5 samsung widget on the lockscreen.

Friend figured it out. Need to install a 4.2 compatible widget. Simple calendar widget does it then it appears. I wish the review sites would mention what they install so we don't pull our hair out thinking something is missing.
I'm looking for a weather widget with animation on the actual widget. You know, like the Samsung TW Weather Widget which unfortunately can't be used outside Touchwiz. I have tried almost every weather application and a lot of them include a live wallpaper or full screen weather animation when you press the static widget it provides (Beautiful Widgets is an example of this) but I haven't been able to find an application which provides a home screen widget with some simple animation on it. I'm starting to think it could be a limitation of Android and such a widget needs to be linked in some way to the launcher for the animation to work, hence why the Samsung weather widget requires Samsung framework. Is this the case?
Can anyone offer a suggestion? Cheers in advance.
No one?
