This watch and all Finow watches are officially supported here = http://roundandroidwatches.proboards.com/
Whilst we all work here on XDA as well - come over and register to find out about this and all round stand alone Android smart watches.
You can change watch faces easily for this watch and even make your own with an app one of our members has created. All this information is available in our forum http://roundandroidwatches.proboards.com/ and G+ Community https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/109827242607524552712
These faces do display step, battery and other information - have a look for yourself.
Just be sure about this one important thing - it is a standalone device - for use with a nano 3G sim card, like a regular phone.
It will not work like Android Wear - it can display some notifications from your phone via Bluetooth but no phone calls or text messaging is/are possible.
It is a real phone in a watch.
By the way - a note to the original poster - you cannot post adverting links on XDA !! You've been warned !!
---------- Post added at 06:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:51 PM ----------
URGENT WARNING !! - DO NOT use the add watch face option at the end of the installed watch face chain which is an + symbol.
The server used to host the faces available through this option is hosted in China and has terrible trouble delivering the face to the watch.
This quite often ends up with a half installed watch face which then corrupts the launcher database.
It ends with the watch failing to boot correctly to the launcher and the only solution is to flash the watch with original firmware (a scary process for some ! )
can i change the straps?

I recently got a Cingular 8525 and really want the threaded features that the Palm application seems to provide. I've looked around a little bit and found nothing compelling for free or for sale. Everything I've seen so far is bloated (.NET), buggy, or ugly. No offense intended.
I'm proficient in C++ and have written some PPC 2003 applications in the past so I'm going to roll my own program in my free time.
These may not all be possible but my goals for the first release are:
Plays nice with Pocket Outlook (messages and their state (new, read appear in both places)
Integration with Notifications (display message and launch application in the usual manner upon receipt of a message)
Integration with Contacts application
Proof of concept design (SMS only, minimalist interface)
I'll then post it and the source code and see what additions and visual enhancements poeple want most.
First:
All I've seen of the Palm application are some screenshots on engadget. Would someone with the Palm application be willing to send me a series of detailed screen shots showcasing their favorite UI features?
I can tell when a UI is done well and when an application looks good, but I'm no good at coming up with stuff myself.
I only ask about UI features now to help me architect things in a way to make help me more easily implement features people want later.
Second:
Are any developers out there able to point me in the right direction for the Pocket Outlook and Contacts integration stuff? I'm currently reading a ton of documentation searching for this and a pointer might speed things up considerably.
Finally:
If there's already an open project doing the same thing I'd rather improve that than make my own. Does anyone know of one?
the official palm messaging app has been extracted and ppl have been working on getting it to play nice with most wm5 devices. check out:
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/palm-threaded-sms-program-for-wm5-beta-4-update-11-21-t978.html
This is where all the action's going on. you can get a copy of the app by PM ing the ppl there. It works very well with the TyTN and interfaces very nicely.
anyone have any more screenshots of the palm messager? I'ld like to see it before i take the plunger
Take the plunger, lol...
Found these on another site. Remember tho, Palm has asked us not to distribute the app. Please respect their authority

Hey guys,
I'm very excited about the upcoming moto 360, but one important feature for me is a stock market ticker.
Is there currently one available for android wear?

Though, I'm not sure how "detailed" they would get.
On my phone with google now and stocks all I usually see is something like "GOOGL 34.87 3.76 12.09%" for each stock one per line. However clicking on a line opens up a more detailed view. The question is (and I don't have a watch yet to test this out) will this "expanded view" be available on watches? And even with expanded view I would imagine some would need more detail/certain details that are hard to distinguish on such a small screen etc.

Can't post the link yet. If anyone can post it, I would be glad.
I've been developing a sample analog watch face that uses 24 hours scale, on request of a friend. It works well for me, as well as for some other people. The problem is that on the friends Samsung device it doesn't install: he clicks install button, and nothing happens. Also another Samsung user reported a similar issue: the app installs, but stays invisible on the apps list, and no new watch face appears. I can not reproduce the situation in any way. It works well for me every time, as well from the apk file, as from the alpha channel on the Play Store. Could you guys give it a try?
EDIT: the problem seems to be solved, at least partially: when installed from the Play store, the app behaves well. I suppose it might've been related to this certain user and his environment. Anyway, if someone wants to test the app, I'll be grateful for feedback. The beta version on the Play Store is available for members of the Android Wear Developers G+ community, or you may join this one.

Same problem with my watchface on my LG G3 / Sony Smartwatch 3 ... WF is running in the emulator, but nothing to see in Android Wear App.
I've installed your app on SGS2 CM11 recent nighlty build.
App is in apps list but just like it was a process or service.
App is not visible in apps drawer.
But the new watch face appeared in the list. Watch is S Gear Live.
Screenshots attached.

It is the service indeed. That's the way watch faces based on Google api work. Configuration, if available, should be done in the companion app.
The most recent version there is on the beta channel at the play store - see the OP. Improved layout, two faces to choose from. Thank you for the feedback.
Many of you will not know me, or remember me from the HTC HD2 area, or HTC Typhoon days ( by the way Thanks for all the great roms guys !!!!), however I never left Windows Phone, just moved up to a Nokia Lumia 1020.
Any way I have wanted a Smart Watch more then likely longer then most, not important, but being I have always been a Windows Phone user I have been on the outside looking in, like most of you. The Brave Pebble users aside, as they only have 3rd party Support, with 3rd Party coders not given access to allow sms/email/notifications. Microsoft only grants access to OEM, and Pebble is not interested in building for Windows Phone.
Any way things need to change and they need to move forward, but Microsoft for some reason does not see the need to expand beyond The Band. A good bit of kit, but designed for the fitness fans, not for the Smart Watch crowd, as The Band can not do the most basic of Smart Watch........a Watch Face.
Now news has leaked out that during the change of ownership of Nokia's Mobile division, a Smart Watch was to release with the Nokia Lumia 930, Moonraker was it's code name, but Microsoft stopped it's release. I see this is a slap in the face to Windows Phone users/Supporters/Fans, and Should not Stand !!!!
I give you Moonraker.....

Any way I am looking to drum up support, votes, tweets and retweets, hash taggers...and any other way you think you can push a message across to get Microsoft in Gear !!!! To either reverse the nix on the Moonraker or take the wraps off of what ever project they may have in the works for Smart Watch/Windows Phone users.

Also if you can think of any other ways to draw attention to this, Please post it up and add support. If we don't force the issue Microsoft will not see any need.
Ok thanks for reading!!! Hope you all join in and help raise a fuss
So I recently received bought another Chinese smartwatch that’s based on the Mediatek MTK6261 system-on-a-chip, which isn’t a very common chip in smartwatches as far as I know. Other than that, the watch supports a variety of different wireless standards such as GSM, Bluetooth 3.0 & 4.0 but that’s about it. These are the full specifications for the watch, and what other features it brings to the table:

The build quality of this watch feels pretty solid, and is better than most other <$50 smartwatches I’ve tried; it’s made out of aluminum and plastic and feels very solid. The band is made out of a leather looking material, but I’m not sure if it’s real leather or not.
So feature wise, this watch brings in some of the common features on Chinese smartwatches like a basic messaging app, remote dialer support and support for notifications. However, it does lack some features some other smartwatches have but it does have some features others don’t such as a heartrate monitor.
The watch comes with a variety of different watchfaces that looks better than on most other china watches, and I especially liked the black analog watchface with white text. The only thing I wish was that there was some better digital ones, as there’s only 1 digital watchface on it.
The firmware of the watch is based off an old phone firmware as far as I know, as there’s some relics that they’ve not removed and sometimes they make the user interface feel a bit clunky. For an example, if you want to set an alarm you have to go through many different menus to do something that simple. Another example is that the keyboard for inputs in the text messaging app is really small, and feels like a keyboard that were initially intended for a bigger screen or a product with a stylus.
So with what said, I’m pretty satisfied with this watch but the firmware is a bit clunky in certain areas of the watch; anyone that own this watch that have found any custom firmware for it or is there a more recent firmware available? I suspect that this is an OEM version of the Flyshark Smartwatch, if I find a way to flash it I’ll try that firmware out.
