Hello Fellow Axon 7 Owners,
I recently received my order of the Axon 7(A2017U).
The phone was upgraded to build number A2017UV1.0.0B27 during it's initial setup.
I wanted to confirm if your Axon 7 had "None" as a selectable option under the Screen Lock Settings (Settings > Screen Lock)
For some reason, I don't have that option missing for me and curious why it's not there.
I've attached a screenshot below showing that the "None" option is nowhere to be found. Thanks for any of your input

If you have fingerprint enabled, than you can't have none, because you have to have backup security if your fingerprint doesn't work. If you disable fingerprint, than you have the option none for screen unlock.

2017U B27: actually disabling fingerprint does not give me the option for none. it's annoying to swipe up every time you turn on the phone if you don't use fingerprint
Another bug or feature of the latest build/update...once you use the fingerprint reader, even if you turn it off, the "none" feature does not come back. I really hope ZTE fixes all these goofy things in the next update soon to drop.
Can someone that is willing to factory reset after the 7.1.7 update (still keeps the 7.1.1) tell us weather they are able to unencrypt the phone and/or set the Screen lock to 'None'?
If anyone has it rooted, is there then a way to set it to 'None'?
To answer my own question for anyone else who's looking, factory reset doesn't bring it back, neither does unencrypting or root.
ZTE's German forum said the option will return in the next update. No hint when it will be.
No such option for none
Hi all, I've been looking at this phone and I see an update to 7.1.1 is coming. Has that rolled out? Is the ability to completely disable a lock screen with no swiping, just power button right to home screen, restored?
I just went to Best Buy to check this phone out and I really liked it but no ability to disable to lock screen (even just a swipe screen) is an absolute deal killer for me.
They had 5 Axon 7 and 7 mini's there and all of them lacked the NONE option in security settings. 4 of them were still on Marshmellow. The full sized Zxon 7 (not mini) was updated to Nouget but it also lacked the NONE option.
Has this issue been resolved with the latest update?
(I have never used a lock screen of any kind and don't need to. And since I often will leave my phone sitting next to me to check a baseball or hockey score where I just want to turn the screen on and see the update....any kind of extra step in getting to that screen is a deal killer.)
I feel the same way about swiping to unlock and was disappointed to find it couldn't be turned off.
The solution is the gravity screen app. In my opinion this is one of the most useful apps out there and the disable lock screen option works as opposed to the other apps I tried.
I should state that my phone is on b19 unlocked and rooted so i'm not sure if works on locked unrooted phones maybe someone could confirm?

You win the internet for today! This app is amazing! First I tried it on my current phone and it works perfectly. It bypasses the swipe to unlock screen. And it adds a ton of other useful features like auto sleep when in my pocket and touch to wake (as long as the touch is near the proximiry sensor)
It does all this without root!
For clariry I'm testing the free app off Google Play called "Gravity Screen On/Off"
After testing it on my current phone for a couple hours I went to Best Buy and installed the Gravity Screen app on the Axon 7 Mini there. The display phone was running Marshmellow. The gravity app worked perfectly on the non rooted Axon 7 Mini. The power button turned the screen on directly to the home screen. No lock screen at all.
I assume this would still work with the Nougat update. Can anyone with a Nougat phone confirm this? I tried to test it on th full size Axon 7 runnibg 7.1.1 at the store but it was having wifi problems with the Best Buy wifi.
One thing about the Gravity Screen app since you've been using it for a while...does it have a strong negative impact on battery life? I've heard the Axon 7 mini doesnt have the best battery life in the world to start with. It battery life still managable with the Gravity Screen app?
I think I'm going to buy this phone knowing I can easily bypass the single dumbest OS mod I've ever seen (removing core features of Android)

DO NOT buy the Axon 7 mini! There's no development nor root for it. I see that you want to buy the full size phone, but a big flashy disclaimer doesn't hurt, does it?
I wonder why you guys don't want the lock screen. If you set up your fingerprint correctly you'll be able to turn the phone on every time without even touching the power button... you use pin 1 (yeah, just 1) and you're good to go
Where did I say I wanted the full size Axon 7?
And the fingerprint scanner being on the back negates being able to usebit when its laying flat or in a cradle on my desk, which I do ALL THE TIME.
As for why I don't like a lock screen...because I don't. That is the only reason I need.

I've owned a Nexus 10 since launch, and I find it to be a pretty awesome device. I however don't use the tablet too much due to me not really... needing to I guess. There are some things I'd find it useful for doing, but they aren't really too feasible on Android, for me anyway (remote controlled gaming, Eclipse development, gaming).
Thinking about trading for a VivoTab Smart. The thought of a Windows-based tablet sounds pretty interesting (Windows is my main OS of choice). The OS itself I don't feel would be restrictive (I don't have an issue with Windows 8; use it on my Desktop currently), but I do wonder about the hardware itself. I don't plan on viewing HD video content or any serious native gaming, but I'd love to be able to just browse the web, listen to music, and do some light gaming.
I'll get to try one out tomorrow given that the Staples I'm going to still has it on display, but I was curious on some more feedback. I like my Nexus 10's hardware, but I mainly wonder how a VivoTab Smart holds against it. One concern I had was speaker-quality. Another concern was overall latency and response time.
I have nexus 7 and I bought Lenovo lynx k3011. All this category with atom 2760 are actually identical (no difference at all). So I preferred it because was the chiepest by far in my country and because have 11.6 screen. I advice you to buy one with bigger screen. It really helps for non metro application. I really like the tablet. Serving the net with new metro internet explorer is the best experience for me now.. Only problem it doesn't have folders for favorites.. If you have many favorites... Like a beta situation here.. But it is blazing fast and user friendly. You feel like it is core i5 or something .. And then install Firefox and it is slow... But trust me.. you won't use Firefox here.
The other BIG problem, when you shut down screen, tablet go to sleep. If you downloading eg utorrent, download stops.. It uses connecting standby to save battery but you can't disable it.. Another beta situation here too.. But in most things much better than android tablet.. If it was faster, better resolution screen, and didn't have those 2 problems without get heavier it would be the best ever..
Connected standy cutting downloads being a beta issue??? I would have thought it bloody obvious that you put your device to sleep and downloads suspend, that's the way windows always have been. Why would 8 be any different?

So all the users which complains to forum that they have to let screen on and cover the screen eg with a book just to not see the light of screen , just to download a file you think that agree with you?
Even windows update stops when screen shut down. If this is fine with you I am sure you are alone..
And no, this is NOT happening to previous os. This is not happening even to win 8. This is happening only with clovertrail which uses connecting standby. To all other cpu you have the option to have screen of and pc work. Here even if you select this to os, it won't work. Clovertrail will bypass every setting you have done and sleep the cpu. It is absolutely beta situation. And it will change in future. If you don't understand you better don't post with this attitude..

I've had the Vivotab smart for about a month now. It really is a very nice tablet, light, quick, and the Windows 8 touch gestures are easy to get used to. I am hardly using my Android tablets anymore, and I do like Android. The Vivotab just works so well. Sound is an issue, the speakers are low volume. Bought a Bluetooth speaker for $20, problem solved. Overall it's by far the best tablet I've owned.

@sosimple: I think you're confused. The downloads and such stop when the device enters Standby. That's nothing new at all; all versions of Windows have done that. The problem is that on some machines, it's no longer possible to turn off the screen *without* entering Standby. That's a throwback to the days before ACPI, when screen savers were necessary just to keep the display from suffering burn-in because the PC couldn't turn the display off without powering down. I don't understand why this regression is happening in some modern systems, but it seems that it is.
Connected Standby supposedly solves the problem by allowing downloads to continue while the system (including screen) is otherwise asleep, but as you noted, a lot of software doesn't use Connected Standby at this time, and therefore gets suspended when the device enters that state. That's a pain in the ass, but don't confuse it for the inability to download things while the screen is off; that's a different problem.
I got the chance to try out some touchscreen devices at Staple today, sadly none that were actually just a tablet like the VivoTab...
My main concern still is pretty much touch latency. A big interest in a Windows x86 tablet is mostly to play a game called osu! with the touchscreen, so any touch latency would have to be very low for the best experience.
I've tried a few AIO computers with touch and noticed they had very little latency at all, had decent accuracy with osu!. Tried some random Samsung laptop that had touch and felt a bit of latency (not sure if it was the touchscreen itself having the latency, or maybe the graphics chip couldn't handle native resolution).
Would love if someone could give it a try and let me know how it goes, or any non-immersive game for that matter.

I am not confused. Perhaps haven't write it well because my English is not my native language. It is not "some machines". If you searce you will see that its all the machines with clovertrail because its the only cpu supporting connecting standby. Connecting standby support only application which use it.. Practically 0 .. All other "legacy" applications just stop work when screen goes off, and you cannot do anything for that.. If this isn't beta situation, I don't know what is.. Just a setting for not using connecting standby when you don't want to would solve the problem. Now we try with scripts, patch, drivers to see the os in boot , etc just to do this..
Ah... perhaps Clover Trail for some reason only supports crippled power management modes. That's bizarre, but given how many other things are messed up with that chip, I can believe it. That thing is a trap; the only reason I would ever buy one would be to try and bypass its stupid limitations (can only boot Windows? REALLY?).

You are right.. Clovertrail is the only "dark" thing. But it is not just the cpu. It is the combination clovertrail/win8. If win 8 used him with a bit different way things would be best.. The os has choices for not go to sleep when screen goes off. Guess what? It doesn't work only to clovertrail, and no one inform you for that.. On the other hand cpu is very battery friendly, and helps creating lightweight, fast (in most everyday things), cheap , tablets, without fan and heat.. Take it or leave it.. Also doesn't support android, even with emulator eg bluestack. I found a hack to work bluestack but is really slow in this cpu. Not useful even for android Facebook app..
So your saying I can't have the screen itself set to power off after a set amount of time, but keep the entire system active?

Nothing to do with standby, sleep, or system state. Just the display itself.
Also can anyone give some feedback about touch latency?
Bump.
I'd still be very interested if a VivoTab Smart owner would be willing to download osu! and try it out. You don't have to register or anything (there's a tutorial song included) and it's free.
I need the game to be running in fullscreen at 1366x768 (or whatever native resolution is), with all settings enabled except soften filter (last option), and the FPS counter being displayed. Set Unlimited FPS as well (it should be 120 FPS by default).
From there, hit Play, Solo, then start the tutorial song. And from there, after like 5 seconds or so after the tutorial begins, tell me the FPS.
And if you want, an actual song with video would be another good test. Here's a link to PSY - Gangnam Style (click "download the map", run the .osz file and then osu! should automatically pickup on it and import it to your library). Pick any difficulty that isn't Taiko, and list the FPS, and see if you notice any large drops in framerate after a while.
And if you like the game and want more beatmaps, you can register an account here and then search and download other beatmaps for free
Would greatly appreciate any reports

I haven't try this but I am sure that this is something you can do of course .. If you don't have a problem downloading eg with utorrent and see the light of the screen.. And harming the screen without a reason.. We are getting back to what I was writing for keeping a book in front of the screen.. Don't laugh, many are doing it. If you don't believe me search tablet forums..
Touch latency, perhaps more users must write their opinion in this.. I feel it iPad level. Perhaps a bit less, but definitely better than android.
Another thing that I should notice, is that the on screen keyboard popup automatically only in metro apps. I use comfort key pro which do the same for legacy applications.
Apps with connected standby enabled should be able to continue running even when the tablet is in deep sleep state, most metro apps work this way (downloads, media play back . . . .)
In clover trail tablets sleep is triggered when the display is turned off just like a smart phone which makes sense
When purchasing a Win 8 tablet you have to keep in mind that things will be dramatically better with newer software releases and continuous updates nothing like an android tablet where you are likely not getting painfully slow updates if any
As discussed many times in a lot of ROM threads, Android Doze power saving comes with Android Marshmallow. But only devices, which have a low power accelerometer can use this Doze mode. Developers can enable Doze in their device tree, but it won't work, because the system can't use the old accelerometer of our Note 2.
Doze requirements
Device implements the significant motion detector (SMD) APIs in the Sensor HAL. Devices that do not implement these APIs cannot support Doze. <--- Note 2 don't supports this
Device has a cloud messaging service, such as Google Cloud Messaging (GCM). This enables the device to know when to wake from Doze. <--- Note 2 supports this

During Doze:
Apps not allowed network access.
App wakelocks ignored.
Alarms deferred. Excludes alarm clock alarms and alarms set using setAndAllowWhileIdle() (limited to 1 per 15 minutes per app while in Doze). This exemption is intended for apps (such as Calendar) that must show event reminder notifications.
Wi-Fi scans not performed.
SyncAdapter syncs and JobScheduler jobs deferred until the next maintenance window.
Apps receiving SMS and MMS messages are put on a temporary whitelist so they can complete their processing.
How can I enable Doze in my device tree:
by adding the following to: overlay/frameworks/base/core/res/res/values/config.xml
bool name="config_enableAutoPowerModes">true</bool>
Statement:
Note 2 can't use Doze
There is no longer batterylife, if doze is enabled in configs

Hey there, sup?
Well i had to read some pages about doze and the conclusion is:
The device must have sensors to determinate if it's really not in use.
"That means no moving around and nudging the gyro or other motion sensors, no touching the screen or the buttons and no waving your hand around in front of motion detection and not connected to a charger".
The devs need to configure their apps to not abuse priority.
"Things like phone calls or SMS messages can get through (and thus waking up your dozing phone) as well as any app that declares itself as high-priority.
To avoid this "...high-priority notifications that aren't part of your carrier network (calls and texts) have to come through a Google Cloud Messaging server."
FYI : "...Of course, people using their phones on a network with a poor connection are still seeing battery drain while idle, because Doze doesn't stop your phone from searching for a better signal to latch onto....A very poor signal will still kill your battery"
Please dont get me wrong...i can do paraphrase what i read, but to make me understandable in english i prefered to quote parts of a good article from here.
I read others articles from different sources but most was about ways for devs to match/check their apps behavior for Doze mode. Like this.
I didnt test anything..but looks like that doze just need to know that your device is really idle regardless "this sensor or that sensor"...if your device can enter in iddle..it can be "dozed".
..."A device enters Doze when the user leaves it unplugged and stationary for a period of time and with the screen off...
Best Regards

Strange...
It felt like Doze saved battery on my Note 2 for me after I tweaked it...
I disabled the motion detection completely and send it to sleep after 3 minutes of idle.
Wake up was allowed every 20 minutes
Edit:
... oh my...
About 3 hours ago my Note 2 froze.
I held down the power button and it turned off.
Now it does not turn on.
Even if I connect the charger.
Seems to be a sudden death

The Note is dead :/
Even if I plug it to the power adapter. Nothing.
Nö download mode.
The battery is fully charged.
I switched the battery with an other one. Still nothing.
Bought a Note 4. Still thinking about my good old Note 2 (I flashed nearly everything on it...)

Yes the Note 4 is nice , but I think I paid to much for it...
460 Euro via Amazon Germany.
Note 5 is not available in Germany, so the Note 4 is more expensive here.
The Note 2 of my cousin also died last week.
I tried to flash TWRP but it constantly gives me failes.
The stock recovery also fails.
To the Note 2 users out there:
Do your backup!
Dude i have one way to resurrect it.
1. Twrp
2. Format all the internal memory.
(i am pretty sure that s.th has gone wrong with the memory)
3. Of the memory hasn't been fixed. Change the memory hardware.
Thank me later. Try it now then let me know
Hey all. So far I mostly love this phone, however I am noticing a few quirks. The main one is with Android Wear. I am connecting to a Huawei Watch. Works fine for a bit and then a pop up on the phone says it needs to be repaired and asks keep to confirm the 6 digit passcode on the watch and the phone. It happens at least twice a day. Very confusing why as I have a strong connection to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. What I am confused about is why it acts like it is no longer paired. It even removes it from my trusted list of Bluetooth devices. Anyone else having this problem?
Another issue is with when I used SMS backup app to move my messages and call logs over. It keeps popping up with an alert saying I have 4000 unread messages even though I have none.
Any help here is appreciated guys!
I decided to just do a complete factory reset. Nobody else seems to be having the issues I'm having and I think it's because I restored from another device, etc. I am going to set it up completely from scratch and see how it goes. I'll install each app one by one, etc. I'll report back if improvements on the Android Wear/Messaging front. Also, the ambient light sensor decided to go all wonky and would be SUPER dark - I had to literally hold the phone to a light bulb to have it change. Def wasn't doing that for the first few days I had it. Seems to all be software related.

Please tell me if that fixes it, because I want to get this phone and if it doesn't work correctly I'll keep looking.

Also, on my old phone, what I had to do was restart the phone and the watch at the same time.
So far so good! I did the Google restore, not the SMS Backup and Restore thing nor did I do the NFC backup from my Galaxy S7 edge like I did originally. The ambient light sensor is working perfectly now, all my apps are reinstalling, and it paired with Android Wear immediately, no drama. So far, things are looking good .
Same issue with Asus Zenwatch 3
I have the same issue with my Asus Zenwatch 3 and my european model of Axon 7. Will try the factory reset and get back. I also did the restore connecting with NFC from my previous Nexus 5.
I'm having 5 days now the new Zenwatch 3 and works flawlessly with Axon 7(A2017G version)

Good to hear. I've been following threads here as I evaluate whether to get an Axon 7 or not.
I got a Zenwatch 3 recently. I'm using a NOte 4. I'm having problems with the phone being VERY laggy, even locking up for periods of time, when hooked to the watch. Battery runs down a lot faster too.
Maybe the Note 4 just isn't enough for Androidwear...
I ran my note 4 edge and 360 sport for quite a while with no issues what so ever. I've been running my 360 off this Axon 7 for a few days now also without issue. Everything has been updated to the latest of what's available, not sure what could be happening on your end. There is a permission authorization required to keep Android Wear connected.
Sent from my ZTE A2017U using XDA-Developers mobile app
Just wanted to add that Yes the restore is the issue. I would always restore my bluetooth connections from previous phone and always had issue like this until I would wipe date on bluetooth and do each device new then they would stick. SO i just always do bluetooth connections fresh now
Don't know if it helps at all, but I just got an Axon 7 and was having this exact same problem. Found this thread and did a factory reset and restore through Google instead of the restore through Helium which is what I did when I first got the phone. It would not stay paired with my LG Watch Urbane even after the reset. After a bit of monkeying, I realized the ZTE has some battery/power management app that by default won't let Android Wear stay active. You have to go in and tell it to ignore it. I assumed that when the Wear app was asking me as I first set it up to exclude it from battery optimization, it was taking care of it all. Once I realized (which I probably shoulda thought about first) and excluded Wear from the power saver, I have had no problems at all and it works better than my Nexus 6P at keeping connection with my watch.
Apperantly the update to Oreo has come around. How stable is it though, should I wait.
What's your experience?
From a few hours of work with the updated phone i do not see any problems. Performance is the same like on nougat and i am yet to see any bugs. If you like to work with new tch like me - go and get the update. If you are more cautious - wait for a few days and see the feedback before updating.
go ahead buddy, its good, no bugs, same as it was on nougat, 3-4 hours SOT..
Boy, we already waited too long, I just hit update
Are you on 2.21.401.1??
Same Sh1t... Different Day
I updated on my single SIM and there are no problems. Battery life is the same (around 3 hours of SOT). On nougat I had problems with fingerprint reader lately (when turning on the screen, sensor didn't work - when I turn off smartlock, it worked) but now on Oreo there is no problems. Also, automatic "do not disturb" didn't work (worked just first time after reboot) and on Oreo it works.
So I've upgraded and no problems so far.
I didn't reset or anything, just upgraded.
Notification badges however don't really work for any app except for some that came with the ROM.

well, the phone didnt have any major bugs or alot of stuff that are not working i did notice a major hit in bench marks like geek bench the single core score droped to nearly half of what it was before oreo lol but i managed to solve this by unlocking the bootloader which did do a reset for may phone and made it as fast as brand new a normal factory reset from the settings didnt change a thing so ya you can try factory resseting but it didnt work for me. another thing is that when rotating the phone while watching a video on youtube or something there is a bug where the phone takes about 5 to 6 seconds to respond that can be fixed by just restarting your phone . it is a really stupid bug. oh yeah and one more thing if you open the camera app and then press the home button the second screen will still have the camera zoom slider on it until you close the app also there alot of instances where the phone goes from the app to home screen without an animation but again nothing too big all of them are small little bugs
here is a post where is explain how my phones performance got way better after unlocking the bootloader https://forum.xda-developers.com/u-ultra/help/htc-lagging-problem-t3777187
if this was helpful for you please press the thanks button it make me happy have a gd day

Geekbench is OK on my Ultra - I didn't make factory reset, just upgraded from Nougat:

Same for me geekbench is like nougat
I think it's safe to say the update on single SIM is much better than the one for Dual SIM, right.
My Ultra performs now much better, almost never stutters, consistant speed, and normal battery life. I hoped the google camera worked better on oreo, but it is still slow and unstable. i think the camera 2 implementation is not perfect. tested the gcam ports also on the old lg g5 and there it is almost like on a nexus/pixel.
All in all i'm very satisfied with the update, especially the improved outdoor visability is a nice surprice. but it came way too late and a half year without security patches is a nogo. hope tehy will come now at least every third month again.
So what about the badge notifications for Oreo?
What apps don't get them right?
The wait is OVER! T-Mobile OnePlus 8 5G Android 11 update has been released (well to select few with issues for sure). This is not official but I can confirm that I do infact have it. No root. Yes I am unlocked and came from Sprint but that played no part in the Update I received.

Go ahead and check now. I was a former Sprint - Tmobile Failed TNX Transfer. After months of being told complete nonsense, they proactively called me, troubleshot and without notice I checked again and there it was. This could be a TS Procedure, however, see attached Screenshots and I believe everyone will see it Feb 2-4th. My experience as one of the initial transfers has been anything but smooth. However, I commend their Customer Service and their Tech SUpport for owning the issue and this may have saved me as a customer. Mind you I will absolutely not buy from them again, however, I will sell this oneplus 8 5g that is unlocked for the 8t/8Pro or 9 Pro unlocked and stick with them for the outstanding customer service!
AOD doesn't have the all day function like global does, modem cant switch from 5g to 4g without a reboot or airplane mode toggle, wifi calling works when if "feels" like it.
@esjames so just to confirm are you saying that you're having issues with the automatic transition from 5G to 4G or vice versa? Cuz that would be a very big problem for me especially since I am 99% of my time on my home Wi-Fi and have been missing calls ever since doing the upgrade. Can you confirm that if I do do a global conversion will that result in error and if so do you happen to have a guide on how to convert from Android 11?
Thank you in advance.
It doesn't appear to have AOD? that's the one feature I wanted. Ugh
I went and got the iphone 12 pro yesterday, and yes "all day" aod isnt there and 4g-5g switching works only sometimes. Got tired of it dropping signal. Global firmware doesnt have stand alone 5g but at least it didnt drop signal.
Missing features aside (it seems several releases back from what I'm seeing in OnePlus' forums, where several devices are on 11.0.3.3 and 11.0.5 is in beta testing) how is it overall? Stability, battery life, Android Auto, etc?
Most says beta 5 is more stable than the stable release. The global release is pretty good. Battery life kinda sucks though
Are you guys having issues with YouTube and twitch mini screen hiding on the bottom of the screen and not appearing on recent apps?
I just updated. I hope I don't regret this

I like with the exemption of YouTube and maps mini floating screen disappearing
I'm not too thrilled with the update. Very laggy and buggy, wiped cashed data and it seems to have helped.... Slightly. Missing some text after a little while I'll get 3-4 all at the same time. I'm going to unlock and throw rhe international version on it very soon.
My first test of Android Auto in the truck was not great. At first everything seemed fine, but it got extremely slow after checking out 3 or 4 apps. I'll clear cache on related apps and see if that helps. The phone itself has been fine so far.
So first real test of Google navigation on AA today, and it wasn't good. When I searched for a place and selected directions, it showed three options, but the routes were not highlighted on the selection screen or while navigating, no matter how many times I closed the app and re-did the search. Finally I gave up and used Waze, which worked fine. I tried Google Maps again partway through, and that time it showed the route, but I cancelled it. When I got where I was going and unplugged the phone, it was very warm and there was a temperature warning - actually it said device temperature was back to the safe range. It's never done that before. Also the phone still had a persistent navigation notification shown that didn't want to go away. I am really disappointed right now. Normally I would also stream music while navigating, but didn't this time, and it still made the phone really warm on top of the other issues.
I don't care for the update either. Has crazy lag with screen transitions. Android Auto works fine for me. Freezes up when phone screen is left on. Turn off phone screen and android auto is responsive again. Did notice the missing navigation route issue once or twice. Forgot how I solved it but it's working now.
Otherwise just got the update yesterday. I will also say I think the maps issue is the actual maps app. Mine did it on android 10 not 11.
Also keyboard has round corners now?
Ever since I've updated there has been a problem with texting and I'm hoping someone might have an answer.
After I updated I noticed I could receive group text but my one on one text don't arrive (and I have timed it 15 20 minutes later.
I tried different texting apps (I use Textra) but nothing changed.
I did a factory reset and nothing changed
I called T Mobile and replaced sim card and after talking to technicians - nothing changed
I've changed settings and texting apps again - nothing changed.
Can anyone help?
I cannot get one on one text or app verification codes quick enough to install certain apps but I can still receive group maeesages quickly.
Am I the only one have trouble connecting in FlashMode? No matter what I've tried, debugging on, debugging off, the "Adb devices" command doesn't see a da** thing. I could've sworn I had connect to this phone with the android 10 version.
BTW, I had to laugh, 'cause it took me a minute to find the Flashmode option in the new Power menu. They sort of hid it.
Just wondering because I've been trying all afternoon. Probably just something stupid I'm doing but I gotta get this going so I can debloat thing. This rom is so loaded with bloatware, it's crazy. After I got finished paring down all the Sprint apps that were on my LG V50 it weighed about 5lb less and this one's is way worse.
February Patch for T-Mobile is out!! Hopefully with AOD and bug fixes.

nope. just february patch with bug fixes.
Still no AOD, pathetic. Who do we complain to - Tmobile or OnePlus?
Things have been better since I cleared the cache from the recovery menu. I don't remember the phone charging at only 1A in the car before. Seems to be the same whether I use Android Auto through the radio's USB port or my car charger. I guess the OnePlus 8 doesn't support Quickcharge?
