Advanced calling not working - Verizon HTC 10 Questions & Answers

For some reason I can't get advanced calling to work. I have the vzw htc and have installed Nusense and everything else is working. I have flashed the latest firmware and have also tried installing the latest RUU with no help. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Go to Verizon website and turn (HD Voice) Advanced Calling Off with Verizon. It's under "Manage Products and Apps".
Do a factory reset followed by these fastboot commands in whitepage fastboot, not download mode.
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Turn on Advanced Calling on your phone. May take a second to confirm. Hope this does the trick.

delete.

Advance calling is working now but now I lost all data function

Check to see if Settings - Data Usage - Mobile Data is Checked
and Limit mobile data usage is Unchecked.
Now that Advanced Calling is working, It's okay to try another factory reset to get data if you still don't have.
Reset won't bork your advanced calling.
p.s. avoid doing more than factory reset in TWRP, or advanced calling will be gone again

[Q] Verizon Tab won't perform factory reset

I have a Verizon Galaxy Tab SCH-I800 and I woke up today and it was missing some programs that I had installed the night before. Launcher pro keeps crashing so I had to put the Samsung Launcher back on. Now random programs all keep crashing and locking up the device. I performed a factory reset through settings -> privacy -> perform factory reset.
It restarts and goes to the samsung bootloader and I performed wipedata/factory reset.. It says it does it but when it restarts its in the same condition as before.
I've booted directly to the bootloader and tried it too (volume up and power key). I've also tried to wipe cache with no luck..
Any ideas? Can I root it and put a custom rom on it? I saw that there really aren't any roms for the Verizon tabs.. Any reason why?
Thanks for any help..
I just did a restore with all the stock verizon firmware using heimdall and it flashed and everything went through properly..
I booted into recovery and wiped data/cache and restarted...
SAME THING! It will NOT wipe out my existing data.. It restarts with all of my old programs installed and NOTHING will work.. The OS is hosed. How can I wipe this thing back to factory??

I'm in the same boat..half my apps crash when you try to open them. I've wiped the data partition 3 times, and the cache as well..not avail. Apps are still on the device after a master reset!

I had that problem, and I wound up sending it back to Samsung. It appeared to be a bad part on the board, so they replaced it and it's on its way back now. Not the answer you want, I'm sure, but call it in and get your RMA number.

[Q] Cannot download anything from Market through 3G data

Hi everyone,
I have this problem after I flash 2.3 HKTW.
I cannot download anything from Market through my 3G network.
once I click the download (or update) button, there is a notification appear says connect to WIFI to start the download. After I connect to Wifi, all download start immediately.
the download from website derectly on mobile browser is all good.
Does anyone have any idea how to bypass this? I dont think it is a market problem. It is a setting.

Wow, I thought it might be the network problem from Rogers Canada,
you are in ATT, so it might be the ROM problem.
PS. you device upgrade route is the same as mine, AT&T 8525 > iPhone 3G > Motorola Atrix, beside I dont use samsung.
I am having no problems downloading from market over 3G. I would reflash the ROM.
Tried to reflash, it fails. I cannot even get back to 1.5.7,it fails to.
So I did a wipe/factory reset, Did a wipe of Dalvik Cache. Had to add AT&T APN the one there was not working, works fine now. I was even able to reset up motoblur with my existing account but still no Market downloads without wifi..
Now I am getting fustrated!
Hopefully someone has an idea. Everything works, no issues with messaging, email, internet. Just the market and I tried to download from the web market, got the same result.

Do you mean the market on 1.5.7 also fail? or you cannot flash back to 1.5.7?
FIXED IT!!!!
You will have to do a factory reset. When the phone reboots and you reset up motoblur at the end it brings up Data Saver. DO NOT CHECK IT! leave it off. The explanation for Market says "Automaticlly queues downloads until you are connected to a Wi-Fi network"
One other thing, I had to reset my APN manually after the restore.
But it works now

Factory app doesnt find wireless networks

Factory app doesnt find wireless networks. If they are saved earlier it will connect to them, it will also connect if I go to ADD then type name of the network manually if I know it.
Ive installed Wifi Analyzer app and it finds all networks and can connect and work.
So Wifi works but factory app doesn see any new ones. Any ideas?
Phone is rooted and nothing more. I have gone back to restoring factory data by flashing factory image with CWM.

GPS unusable after May Security update

I updated via the OTA to the May update recently and now my GPS is totally messed up. It generally knows where I am when I start a trip, but then is super slow to update my location, and is a block or two off of my actual location. I tried doing a factory reset but this didn't solve the issue. Any ideas?
Have you tried using GPS Status and Toolbox?
Do this with a working Wi-Fi connection: Settings>>Manage A-GPS State>>Reset. Then within the same menu, hit download.

Only thing left to do now is to backup, wipe all partitions, and load a fresh image. If the problem remains, it is hardware related. I would make sure to fastboot FORMAT userdata, system and cache before flashing the latest full image.
I've noticed that the 7.1.2 is not fullty compatible with the settings that might be hanging around from 7.1.1 (or before).
To get my phone to function properly I had to do a clean install and wipe the phone completely.
before that I had SIM issues and Bluetooth issues.

Stuck on 'Phone is starting' after updating to Android 12

Hello!
I tried to update my phone (SM-G975U) via Odin from Android 9 to Android 12, got the firmware from SamFw.com. Everything went fine until the phone rebooted, after unlocking the phone gets stuck on 'phone is starting'. I CAN access the Set Up Menu, Uninstall apps, move some settings here and there, connect to Wifi/Bluetooth, receive calls, install apps using ADB. Also, theres a notification all the time that reads 'Phone restarted Unlock your phone to get app notifications', I'm assuming that the phone thinks it is not unlocked and that's why it doesn't fully boot up.
Some things that I've already tried:
Intalling another Launcher (Pixel Launcher)
Reinstalling the firmware (ver G975USQU6IVC7) / Trying with different CSC with no results
Wiping Cache in Recovery Mode
Deleting/Adding Fingerprints
Changing from Lock Pattern to NIP to Password
I don't really want to do the full wipe, I would like to keep my data or be able to export the photos (Device not Recognized by Smart Switch also)
Is there anything else I can do?, has anyone been through the same issue?

Hi !
@DannOsnaya have you found a solution to the phone problem other than restoring to factory settings?
I have the same problem at the moment, almost identical to what you experienced.
If anyone has some advice on how to fix this problem, please share your advice.

Nothing works. Now decided to show it to anyone. I guess the mobile shops have an option to erase everything. I don't understand how did it happen because it's usually with my toddler, he might have done something.

I followed a video and wiped out. Finally successful. I wasn't worried about data as Google has a backup.
I followed this method and finally it's factory reset.
