Ultra Power Saver Mode - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

This is now the second time, but I attempted to put my phone into ultra power saver mode and something happened that caused it to not enter the mode correctly. I was not given an option to turn the mode back off, so I attempted to reboot the phone. I then get stuck in a boot loop. I am able to get into the recovery(?? vol dn, pwr, and menu) to power down the phone. once powered down I have attempted to clear cache with no improvement. The previous time I had to factory reset the phone to be able to use it again. I don't want to have to do that again so I'm hoping a nand backup, factory restore, then nand restore will get me back to up in a much shorter time frame.
Has anyone else experienced this?

do you use package disabler?? I did and I disabled something that had to do with ultra mode. luckily you can add the app to the launcher. I was in the same situation where I couldn't get out... so i opened disabler and enabled everything I disabled and rebooted and it let me out if I remember.

[Q] Possibly bricked my Razr M...

Here's the story:
I rooted my phone, but unrooted using SU after uninstalling system apps and doing some other things. I used Safestrap to form a recovery, but uninstalled it since. Just recently, I rebooted my phone and saw the Safestrap screen at startup, which has happened since I uninstalled it. Not thinking, I tried to boot into its recovery mode, and my phone went black. I cannot turn on the device using any method, and it shows no signs of life. It will not charge and does not register as a USB device on my computer. Does anybody have a solution to this?

try a soft reset (power + volume down for 5-10 seconds)....
to get to recovery, try power + volume up + volume down
then use matt's utility to recover
Do you Remember how low your battery was when all this happened?
If you can get into ap fastboot mode and your battery is charged up enough use matts utility

HEELP!! Stuck in Ultra Power Saving!

Hi good people,
I have a big problem! I tries to put my phone into ultra power saving (UPS) mode, it then didn't look if it wanted to go into UPS mode. The screen already lost it's colour and so on, bit only the status bar is visible. I then held the power button for restart and sine then I get a bootloop when I restart. The boot logo is also in that grey ish colour.
I then downloaded my stock rom and flashed it via Odin, now phone can startup, and go into touchwz but still has UPS mode on with no option to disable it?? I just don't understand how after flashing the new stock rom it still stays in UPS mode?
So now I am in original TouchWiz but only have the abilities of UPS mode (5 or 6 apps). And settings only shows settings available in UPS mode.
Please help me to get my phone back to normal???
THANKS!!!
Factory reset

Go to recovery mode, delete everything and you should be fine.

i have the same problem but i factory reset but doing that i didnt have a launcher or touchwiz and had to use android injector to download a keyboard to actually fix my phone but now im wondering how do i get the launcher apks back so i can go into ups
Factory reset should put back everything back, yr O.S. image may be bad, try Odin stock image then factory reset right after.

[Q] Did Verizon Security Warning hard brick my phone?

Hey everyone,
Long time XDA forum user, first time poster. I can usually find what I need through searching, it seems people generally get into a soft brick scenario with this Verizon recovery blocker screen. I do now see that I did act a bit brash, and should have searched more about the knox counter before rooting and installing another rom.
Here are the steps that I performed to get into trouble:
Ran Vroot from my PC to obtain root
Installed SuperSU, updated bianaries in that app, uninstalled Chineses root apps
Tried to install CWM from Rom Manager, rebooted, got the Verizon security warning
Realized that recovery would not work, installed safestrap from APK
Installed hyperdrive in Rom slot 2, set to boot to that ROM slot
So I guess I made a few mistakes. I should never tried to install CWM, I should have somehow disabled/reset the knox counter?, and I should have installed Hyperdrive in the stock rom Slot?
I was hiking and using a GPS navigation app (in airplane mode). I look down and my phone is at this Verizon recovery blocker screen, "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless...". Now, I would be fine if I could get to odin/download mode, but no matter what key combination I use, it always brings me to that same stupid screen. I have tried volume down+home+power, volume up+home+power in combination with removing the battery for 10-15 seconds, and not being plugged in and I am out of ideas. I have not been able to boot to download mode whatever I try. If I can get there I should be able to take care of the issue. Any ideas? Is a usb jib my last hope?
Also
Also, I was still on 4.3. I had not taken the OTA update to 4.4. That is what was prompting me to get another ROM installed.
Any insight would be appreciated! Is a USB jig my only hope to force the phone into download/odin mode?

[Q] AT&T S4 won't boot

I've been searching everywhere for a solution, but nothing has come up. I own a AT&T galaxy S4 that was on NC1 and today, I noticed that it wasn't in sleep mode even though I had not turned it off. I held the power button down and it presented me with the Samsung Custom boot screen with the unlocked lock. After that, nothing. The phone just turned off again. I went to try and flash the NB1 stock ROM through odin. It booted up fine the first time. I was setting it up and while I was doing so, it shut off. I pressed the power button to power it on, this time I get the normal samsung boot logo, and once again, nothing afterwards. I tried reflashing through odin and trying to access recovery mode to wipe the cache and factory reset. I ran odin and when I tried to enter recovery mode (it showed entering recovery mode in the top left corner of the menu), it shut off again. Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this? I would really hate to have to get another phone as I am currently under contract for another 8 months. Thanks in advance for anyone that helps!

I'm guessing it's a hardware failure.

I couldn't believe how simple the solution was. I figured out my battery had simply ran out and a charge got it right back up. Thanks for the response!

Force download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power until you see a warning screen. Then use Odin to fix it. Maybe a fixed Recovery is enough. With bad luck your only way is a official update with Modem, BL, Kernel and stuff, too.
Thanks that was it. i flashed twrp again and it works fine now
