So my CSC is screwed up, my phone is from Singtel and it is the SM-935FD. I am assuming the CSC to be SIN or XSP or something.
I found a rom online that is SIN but when I flashed it, it became THL somehow because the rom is multi-csc. I really desperately want stock rom along with the Vulkan API. But back then I was using some other stock rom that was XSP. The update hasn't been out for that yet. Any ideas?
This happened after using the csc changer in the S7 Edge forum!
No matter what PIT or CSC i flash, it still remains stuck.

I have flashed my Note with the UK ROM LP4 and want to change my CSC code from the German CSC code ODT which I set after installing the German LPY ROM. But when I try using *#272*IME# then it just shows the ODT code with no other codes listed and no selection button for the ODT code.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks for all your help
I think the U.K. Rom you installed dude doesn't offer Multi CSC resource. You have to install a rom with Multi CSC resources.
Check Samfirmware and look for another U.K Rom you can flash and check later on if you can have the option of selecting ODT among the CSCs on that ROM.

There is only one other UK rom on Samfirmware which is for the carphone warehouse but how do you know if it is Multi CSC? I don't want to select ODT but the UK CSC which I think is XEU
Thanks for your help.
hmm.. hey listen.. i read this before, try this step: downgrade your phone to a all stock GB , there are a lot of it in Dr ketan's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997. Choose the very basic stock one. After you flash to stock, check if there is ODT on that, if it does have it. Then your good to go. Flash and back to your official U.K Rom, I'm sure the Mutli CSC from the previous one is already there. By the way, you need to flash the Rom only.. not the corresponding CSC files of your new UK ROM..

Thanks for your help I'm going to flash XXLC1 which is 2.36 and is called Open Europe so it should have the UK CSC code which I think is XEU. So I need to set that once LC1 is flashed then flash LP4 again. Correct? I notice in Samfirmware there are PDA and CSC files available. Can you just flash a CSC file? If so then there is no need to flash XXLC1 which is the PDA file.
When I flashed the UK LP4 rom I just flashed the PDA file. If I had also flashed the CSC file at the same time then perhaps I would be able to select the UK CSC code. As I have just flashed the PDA file can I now flash just the CSC file or do I need to start again and flash PDA and CSC together?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am a noob
I just checked it for myself and realised that only Korea CSC code is avaible to me after ICS Turkey version update. How can i revert to TUR CSC code which is for Turkey? I flash roms with mobile odin pro. Do you think it's something related to it ?
I managed to fix my CSC code problem by flashing the stock European GB rom XXKL8 which is multi-CSC. The other big advantage of the KL8 is that it does a full wipe which clears a lot of faults when you flash over other roms without a wipe.
With XXKL8 installed I was able to select the XUE CSC code for the UK and then flash the latest ICS stock rom for the UK. With the correct UK CSC code and correct UK rom I am now able to use kies or ota for future updates.

It's nothing to do with Odin. You need to find a rom, probably a regional one which contains multiple CSC codes including your Turkey code. You might need to flash a GB rom first which does a full wipe if you have been flashing several non-wipe roms to clear any errors.
Once you are able to set the Turkey CSC using the regional Multi-CSC rom then you can flash the ICS rom for Turkey then you will have the correct CSC code and correct rom so you will be able to use kies for updates.
Hope this helps.
To be honest i don't remember which Gingerbread CSC code i was using before the ICS update and moreover i didn't directly flash ICS Turkey version over gingerbread. I first flashed ICS LPY German then i flashed ICS Turkey on it. Before that i only used German , Open Europe and Turkey roms. So i don't have a clue where did that Korean CSC come from even tho i never flashed a rom with Korean CSC. Thanks for the tip but i'm scared to downgrade to gingerbread for the famous emc bug hard brick problems. I can bare with korean csc for now as i never flash roms through kies.

Flashing ROMS is never risk free. However flashing stock GB ROMS correctly using Odin appears to be reasonably safe. You can do a search for the correct CSC code for Turkey and change that but it will do a factory reset. If you don't have the CSC code which matches your ROM then you will not be able to update firmware using Kies.
Doesn't manual factory reset on a single-CSC ROM also change the CSC to that of the ROM...?
hi guys. anyone experienced the same. here's what happened:
i was using i9505 glb kitkat (csc=glb=globe philippines). i flashed clockworkmod, then install carbon rom.
last month, i re-flash my original glb kitkat. then went to recovery. i noticed that the csc changed to sin (singapore singtel) without doing anything.
now my problem is what rom should i use next time i update to lollipop: glb or sin.
pls help and many thanks.
Is your phone SIM unlocked? If it is, it doesn't matter which CSC you use. Otherwise, stay with CSC GLB.
No. I used regionlockaway to make it sim unlocked.
Then as mentioned, the CSC doesn't matter. Case in point is my I9505. Originally an O2 phone, when I purchased it the S4 was already unlocked and had Ukranian firmware on it. When I installed the Black Edition UK firmware (CSC BTU) after repairing my S4's SIM tray and again removing the SIM lock, I ended up with CSC AUT (Switzerland) instead.
On an open firmware such as CSC BTU, there are actually multiple CSCs within the firmware, and all the CSC does is customize the firmware to the needs of a specific region. In the case of AUT, the firmware installed three Swiss-specific apps that could be easily removed. BTU and the other CSCs essentially do the same thing, and I am guessing this is without modifying the firmware itself.
Ok. Thanks guys. I'll still use glb firmware once lollipop is released. I had once semi-bricked my s4 (got repaired at samsung center) so i'm kinda nervous this time.
Hi,
I am using International version of Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F, I bought it with the firmware belonging to KST(Saudia Arabia). As I was in need of 4G I flashed it with official firmware from Poland (XEO) at that time only country having Lollipop update. After some time I rooted my mobile. and flashed Xtrestolite rom. Now I reverted back to stock official firmware from England(BTU). My CSC when seen in Kies is from XEO(Poland). While I installed Firmware from England. Now again I rooted my mobile again and installed Xtrestolite rom to change CSC manually through Phoneinfo Samsung. But it gives error. It shows in CSC section
Original CSC XEO
Firmware CSC BTU
Active CSC XEO/BTU
CSC Country UK & IRE
Prouct name G900FZDAXEO
How can I change original CSC according to the official firmware installed i.e. BTU(UK) to get official updated from Kies?

No Luck. Same
After flashing firmware going to recovery android icon comes and some installation starts (A blue bar below it) it goes almost half in the way and phone restarts again. If I go to recovery there comes.
Manual mode
Appling multi-csc
Applied the CSC-code: XEO
Successfully applied multi-CSC
Im looking for a bit of guidance here..
Im in UK with a UK Edge+, I decided to Flash Poland 601 over BTU 511, worked great.. No issues. Then I decided to flash the Finland NEE rom.. thinking maybe a better Modem / Phone. After flashing through ODIN.. It failed.. Showing an exclamation mark in a white triangle.. saying.. an error had occurred and Ide need to use smart switch to fix..
Fortunately, I booted back into Download Mode and Re-Flashed Poland rom.. and phone is up and running..
So, why did that happen..
IS the NEE finland rom a different region or does it require a different PIT file..
I just want to know for future reference.. and keen to learn a bit more
Thanks
Hello. I was in a similar situation...I went from SIM(Slovenia Simobil) to XEO(which ultimately showed as TPH) and then wanted to go to SIO(Slovenia Open). Everything was OK, but the CSC stayed TPH. I did a little digging because nothing worked and found somewhere that if I flash 5.1.1 BTU version, that the CSC will change to BTU and I could go to a different CSC from there. It worked, but when I tried to flash SIM(or SIO) over BTU, it always failed at hidden.img. A couple of hours of busted nerves but I found two solutions.
1. Not so good: delete hidden.img from MD5 odin file and flash it later as a separate TAR file. The problem is that the next time you will try to flash something that's not Poland or BTU and some more from that group, you will have the same problem.
2. Recommended: go it this topic and find a PIT file which will repartition your device and then you will be able to flash the ROM for your region(NEE):
forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/general/galaxy-edge-plus-g928-pit-file-branded-t3223375
From what I see there are two Polands(XEO). My guess is that you flashed OXX version over your BTU(OXA pit). Now you want to go back to NEE(OXA). My guess is you have to flash OXA pit before you flash NEE ROM again.
Quote from pasted topic:
SM-G928F OXA pit (BTU CPW DBT ITV KOR NEE XEF XEO XEU )
SM-G928F OXX pit
LUX OXX ( BGL CYO ETL MET ORX ROM SEB SEE SIO TPH XEF XEH XEO )
I hope this helps.

Thanks for your help friend, and Yep thats exacttly right, I have flashed the OXX version., so when the UK BTU 601 hits, Ill have to flash the XEO pit first, then flash the BTU 601, ?
No problem, glad if I could help .
Yes, flash this -> SM-G928F OXA pit (BTU CPW DBT ITV KOR NEE XEF XEO XEU ). Then you should be able to successfully flash or NEE or BTU version.
What I did, is I flashed PIT(check repartition), let it restart(I think it restarted two times) then went back into download mode when it hung on the "Galaxy Edge Plus" screen and flashed the appropriate ROM for that flashed PIT(in my case SM-G928F VFG pit).
Up and running.. Thanks alot .. It worked for me the other way round.. I had to flash NEE first and got the error message again as I said in my OP, then flashed the zenlte BTU PIT and the phone booted straight away.. How strange. Regardless of what Ive read though, It only worked in ODIN 3.10.6...
Gotta point out though.... I followed what some threads reported.. flashing the PIT only in 10.7, then flash the ROM in 10.6 ... This doesnt work.. I had to use 10.6 to flash both, thats how I ended up flashing the PIT twice.. and after the rom..... Im glad it worked out anyway.. I feared a brick.. but luckily.. Im back on my own EU PIT , so BTU should flash no issues when it hits..
Learned a fair bit from this.. Thanks again
Great, I'm glad you made it.
Hey guys! So, out of curiosity, I've downloaded and flashed the most recent Oreo from Russia (CSC: SER) thinking that I would like to try out the new Oreo software. After I've tried it, I decided to go back to Nougat by flashing the stock firmware (CSC: XME) I downloaded from sammobile.com. After completing it, someway, somehow, the device is now stuck in the Vietnam CSC (XXV). I've been downloading various of XME firmwares from the past and everytime it finish flashes, it will start up in Vietnamese and I'm stuck again with the Vietnam CSC. Nice that I'm able to get oreo with a Vietnamese CSC, but I don't want to use it because the Samsung Pay works different in Vietnam in comparison to Malaysia. And, I've no idea how flashing a SER and then XME would come out with a XXV CSC is beyond my imagination. Is there anyway for me to return back to my stock CSC without rooting and tripping Knox?
Opening the stock recovery completes the CSC installation, give that a try. It's expected to show "Updating 0-100%".

So, I have done some digging around the internet and found this link from the Sammobile forum. I've tried the methods in that forum, and it works!
If any of you have suffered the same problem as me, you could perform troubleshoot using this method. It seems that firmware for XME is actually multi-CSC and includes other CSC such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and etc.. The Vietnam CSC is the default CSC.
So, here you go. This is the link: https://www.sammobile.com/forum/threads/39155-How-to-change-CSC-with-a-combination-file
