caller i.d sometimes doesn't show ?

Hi all, I've got a strange problem that I haven't found posted here before, sometimes, not always, when one of my contacts calls me the phone will display the number instead of the persons name.
Has anyone seen this before ? am I doing something daft ? and / or is there a way round this.

from what i understand sometimes it gets closed down and is automaticly restarted after awhile
showing that odd icon shortly
if you recieve a call while it's shut down then it dont display

If you have a problem and it doesn;t load, then go to /Windows folder find IA_Caller_exe make a shortcut to it and place it either in the Start menu folder, or the Star up folder (if itsn;t already there)...
When you see your problem hit the Start menou shortcut and it is once again reloaded...
It is not a solution, but still an answer to your problem...

I've done this, will give it a shot, thanks for the tip, hope it works for me

i think it have something to do with the 32process thing on all the devices maybe the new rom have more processses and so have to close stuff down more often

I got the same issue when I installed the Microsoft Voice Command 1.5. It announce the name but I did not see the name displayed during the incoming call. I disable the name announcement features from MS Voice Command and now everything is fine.

My Caller id is always show when someone calling me..
but all times the Answer Call and Ignore ..are on the photo!! it is really annoing me.
When i do a preview in photo contact it shows all perfect..but then.. :?
What version are you using guys?
My os Win2k3Se 2.20

Any solution to solve Caller ID?

Customising Sub/Standy Display

Hey all,
I've seen screenshots of the advantage/U1000 subdisplay having a larger clock etc, being centred and generally having customisations. I have unfortuntely not being able to find out how this is possible.
Is it possible? if so how?

when you have the keyboard cover on have you tried jogging the volume control ?
if your talkin bout something other than that then i dont know

Thanks for the reply chief, I was referring to that initially, was surprised when I went to turn it down and the display changed but im sure I saw a Dopod pic with something cooler, nevertheless cheers anyway.

I read in the manual if you have Worldmate installed the sub display will show temp etc is this what you are referring to???

I have the blank tmob wallpaper ? There is a way to change it ?

I installed Worldmate programm but I don't see any new info in Sub/Standby display. I tried volume control but only previous data are available.
Could somebody give me a tip how to activate Worldmate in Sub-display.

What a great finding (even it's too late for me).

i shot htc an email yesterday but they have not gotton back to me as of yet and seeing how its the week i guess i will have to wait until monday

I haven't seen anybody who has gotten world mate to work on the subdisplay.
Guessing it might have been something specific to a certain version of worlmate.
Either that or htc people just pulled that one out of their a**es like they always do.
I have tried all avaialbe athena roms except the Tmobile Ameo's and they have shown the same behaviour.
I have contacted worldmate but haven't gotten a response from them yet and dont think I will.

May be what they mean is worldmate-like.

Also, if you are playing music in WMP, you will see the track name on the subdisplay!

Calendar @ Home Screen

hi guys,
i really enjoy using my diamond with lots of tweaks and so on but there´s one thing left ( maybe the most important !!! ) :
I need to see all upcoming events ( next 2-3 days ? ) at the home screen, there are two at maximum and thats really annoying...
Is there any developer who knows a soloution ?

Refresh appointment on home tab
Hi,
I have the problem that sometimes no appointment is shown on the home tab although there are appointment for this day in calender .
Sometimes the home-tab shows appointment from past (the day before) .
If I edit an appointment in the calender, the appointment on the home tab refresh and everything is correct .
Im using original HTC-Rom 1.93 GER with some own graphics-manila-files created with Manila editor.
Any idea?

did you ever heard somethig about the search-function. This is something new and it is incredible, because you can find answers to your questions! There are still hundreds of threads with this topic!

Try TodayAgenda V1.1.0 - at http://pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1475.
It is a great today plugin which shows appointments, tasks - Very customizeable and I have mine showing appointments up to a week in advance. It work's very well on my HTC Touch Elf WM 6.0. I added the RL Calendar to the same page so that I have a calender above it and appointments showing beneath. All as one page in ultimateLaunch.

I see a lot of smarties here trying to be all ^%$%.
What he is asking for, as well as I need, is to be able to see more upcoming appointments while the TF3D is ON .... got it. Please read before you guys get all smart.
The apps you suggested do not work work, well they do, but do not show up with TF3D ON.
Perhaps there is some registry tweak that can allow to see like today+next 7 days appointments.

Hey buddy. There is no need to get rude. Everyone here is just trying to be helpful, geez. What is your problem.
By the way, the original question was not asking specifically for something that would work while TF3D is on specifically and since I do not have a Diamond, I would have no way of knowing what would work for you or not. I was only pointing to a possible sollution as I am sure everyone else was. Notice in my post I actually metioned working on HTC TOUCH ELF WM 6.0.
Anyway, Good Luck finding what you need.

Anybody knows the answer? Maybe only HTC staff knows. Second Today works but it is just a workaround by adding a today screen so as to avoid the TF3D screen. Like the 2USU thing (a workaround for locking the screen with incoming calls), it's not a clean solution. I don't know what other fellow diamondiers feel, but I want a clear cut solution direct from TF3D, not to switch to another screen/program/interface to get around (and I want to see everything from the TF3D screen even when it's locked and backlight is off and I don't need to unlock the screen and then press another button to see it). But yes, this has been a F-Q but still no A (as in FAQ) yet. It seems to be a real simple issue that most of us will come across and intuitively think it's easy to solve (by a registry tweak or so) but yet no solution comes up yet. It's a bit frustrating....

You seen the movie Tropic Thunder? You know Tom Cruises' part in that, when he talks to the Flaming Dragon guys for the first time through the phone? Well, that's what I'd love to do to you now.
Yes, maybe there is a tweek (sic) that can do that with "TF3D ON" (did you know that the word 'on' is officially written uncapitalised?), and yes, Second Today is a workaround (which by the way, works with TF3D "ON"); however, since topics requesting this functionality for TF3D started back in 1931 you would think that if such a tweek (sic) existed, somebody smarter than you would've found it by now. And seeing this forum now has 869015 members, that makes 869014 members smarter than you - and none of them has ever found this elusive 'tweek' since 1931.
So, yeah, maybe there is. Go find it!

thx sushilange, but i´ve already searched all threads ! i haven´t found a possibility to integrate a calendar with the touchflo3d home screen...
By the way, it would be nice to submit a link instead of beefing...

I would also like to know if theres a way to see at least 3-4 upcomming events in my calnder in the TF3D home screen. Would be super!

It seems to be spanish and the idea is to use SecondToday from http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_wm_tools_im_cs.htm.

How about making an app that changes the today screen when you rotate the device?
So when it's in portrait you have TF3d and when it's in landscape you can have Calendar+ or whatever other plugins you want?

The vibrator does not influence the phone's life time. (Battery time yea....life time...no)

Clock has changed from digital to analog

Hello all,
The clock on my HD2, which replaces the battery icon when using an application was originally digital, i dont know what i have done (if anything) which has turned it to analog.
It is very difficult due to the size to read this analog version, can anyone on here tell me a way to change this back to digital?

At one time if you hold down the clock up top on the today screen you could choose digital or analogue, maybe you still can and you changed it by accident. I have a task manager getting in my way to test it at the moment.

I have tried looking at all the settings to do with time but still haven't been able to find anything, not sure how it could have happened in the first place.
I take it by the lack of interest no one else is having this problem.

U can change your clock back to digital from the following registry key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shell\AnalogClock
Change the value from 1 to 0... That should solve your issue.
