Honor 5X - How to use Enhanced Privacy Settings? - Honor 5X Guides, News, & Discussion

Honor 5X comes with enhanced privacy settings. You can provide a password or PIN which are not to be viewed by others. And you can choose things here as per you need.
Go to Settings > Security > Privacy Protection. This section will let you hide contacts, call logs, notifications, call records, SMS, apps and albums.
It will be asking for the PIN/ Password. First it will ask for you and other one will be for Guest. So type a PIN / Password that you can remember. This is Owners Password. On the next screen you have to provide a Guest password. Type another PIN / Password here and Tap on Continue. Guest PIN requires confirmation two times.
Now you can see Private Data Section. From here you can do three things.
You can choose your
1. Private Contacts
2. Private Album
3. Private Apps
Now if you unlock you mobile with Guest fingerprint or guest password, the apps (or) albums (or) Contacts which you have chosen in the previous screen wont be shown.

1 disable 2 step verification on google account.
2. run google authenticator, tap and hold displayed code, select remove.
Next enable 2 step verification on google account and set google authenticator
Go to the 2-step-verification home page.
Under "How to receive codes" you have your current phone listed under Mobile Application.
Click Edit.
Rather than picking Phone Model and moving on, instead select "Set up a different phone" and follow the instructions.
It generates a new secret, which you'll need to enter into all devices you want to use Google Authenticator on.
The old secret is invalidated, so you need to remove the old secret from your original device.
You do this in the Google Authenticator application by long-tapping (Android) on your account and the 6-digit PIN, this gives you the option to "delete" the key.

Can't add lockscreen widgets?

I'm running the M build of CM10.1, and can't add widgets to my lock screen. Swiping from left to right just bounces the screen, rather than showing a "+" sign to add a widget. Is the feature not enabled on our build, or am I missing a letter somewhere that turns it on?
Thanks!
do you have corporate email set up with device admin privileges?
to check, go to settings -> security -> device administrators.
some device admin privileges (like the one for email) disable some features for the keypad lock (or lockscreen).
beware though that disabling the device admin privs for email will also delete your email account from the phone (i think).

Flyme Account forgotten password and security answers

Hi,
I do have MX5 associated with my account ([email protected]). I forgot to store my password and verification answers in password wallet.
I have full access to verified mail and phone number, which I tried to used to reset password. But request form doesn't allow me to change password using these two.
I now exactly when I activated my account (still have confirmation message), I also have purchase confirmation (transaction details from Aliexpress, bank transfer confirmation).
Is there a way to remotely logout account from phone? Or reset password using just mail or call for owner confirmation? What are my options here?
Log out account...
it is very easy... 1st go to sittings >then select "app" finend "Flyme id" app >select app and clear data. work is done. ur account is logout.

Delete option missing on Tab 4 in Settings > General > Accounts

I purchased a Galaxy Tab 4 (w/10 in screen) quite awhile back from Barnes and Noble for my wife. I recently created a 2nd user account for myself to use the tablet as well. I have found that I'm unable to delete any accounts that get saved under "My accounts". This includes Yahoo & Yandex email apps, google account (I want to keep this account but verified the delete option is not available), Firefox account, etc.
I've unsuccessfully tried 3 things to remove these accounts:
1) I can't find an option looking in the individual apps to delete the accounts.
2) A google search found several sources which indicate that Settings > General > Accounts should have an option at the bottom of the screen to delete these accounts when you select each account individually. That option is NOT available on for my user ID or my wife's user ID (which I checked to see if it may be different).
3) I also tried going to Settings > General > Application Manager, selecting individual apps and clicking the "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data" buttons. This does NOT remove the account either- just the app data which is then reloaded when the app is opened.
If possible, I don't want to delete my user account and have to start over installing apps, restoring files, etc. I've reached the extent of my abilities in troubleshooting this. Any suggestions would be appreciated on successfully deleting these accounts for my userID. Below are the technical details for our tablet. Please let me know if any additional data or screen prints would be helpful. Regards.

Locked out of main account but have access to other restricted accounts

I have a motorola g4 plus that I normally login to using either my finger or a pattern. I installed a security software recently that asked me to enter a pin or password. Long story short, yesterday I could no longer use my finger or pattern as the phone is forcing me to enter the pin/password because the phone was restarted. I do not remember the pin/password but I still have access to two other accounts. however some features on those accounts are restricted. Do I have any options to gain access to my main account or to copy the files seeing that I can still access two other restricted account. I can also see the phone on google's find my device.
Thanks in advance
