I need some advice.
I'm looking for a android (wear) standalone watch, with heartrate monitor and decent battery life. There is a lot of Chinese garbage and i have no overview.

My idea of an awesome smart watch would have the following specs which are a combination of a few watches that are out today.
The Qualcomm Toq's mirasol screen (which is always on with very little battery drain) and its wireless charging capabilities combined with Google Now voice controlled commands as well as mostly everything from the Galaxy Gear. And it wouldn't hurt to have some health related features from some of the sports watches / bands out today as well. At least a built-in stand alone pedometer and possibly a heart monitor, sleep monitor, etc.
I guess I'm hoping for a miracle but if anyone can pull this off it would be Google. I have tried the Gear and Sony's SW2. They are both very nice watches but I will wait for the Google watch to see what they come up with before committing to the others. I would be willing to pay extra within reason to get all of these features in one smart watch rather than having to buy multiple watches to do all of these things.
Hi, I'm looking to replace my old sony smartwatch nm2. I'm after a standalone watch with 3g capabilities (I'm in the uk). Obviously, the higher the ram/CPU speed etc. The better. Needs to be a square face one, not round. And must have access to the play store with the ability to run apps reliably. Also I'll want it to be WiFi capable, Bluetooth, GPS, good quality speaker and mic. And have a good battery that will last a day of moderate use.
I know that's a lot to ask, but it seems that the above is possible now (aside from the battery it seems).
I've done a couple of days reading so far and have come up with these options:
Zgpax s8 - a bit old, but plenty of support.
Zgpax s83 - better specs, but no info anywhere yet as is new.
Our time x01s - not read much on this yet?
Finow q1 - as above.
Any obvious winner there?
Any others I have missed?
What's your choice? And why?
Any info much appriciated..
Thanks chaps.. James.
I just want smart use, not sports use.
I have 3 items in my list:
- Amazfit 150€
- Kingwear KW88 85€
- No.1 D5+ - 100€
but i have no idea what to choose. I want long battery life and vibrating alarm clock.
Thanks in advance.

Amazfit
If you are good with adb and fastboot, amazfit offers a long battery life, a good display that you see very well under sunlight.
At the moment it is still a watch in the process of developing so many upgrades to fix small bugs.
The other smartwatch are not bad but the battery will not last you more than a day especially if you keep the high brightness!
great, thanks!
I've tried an U8, crap.
Now I'm with a K89. Not so good but have watchfaces at least and a better design. lol

Can amazfit run regular apk?
I've tried out multiple sports watches and all of them have one issue or another; either displays not good; garmin, suunto, or lacks the features I want Gear S3/Sport. So I am thinking about a waterproof AW, which limits me to pretty much to either the New Balance RunIQ and Nixon Mission. Since the RunIQ has been getting meh reviews in the battery life department, I've pretty much thinking about trying the Mission.
My question is there software for AW that offer breadcrumbing. ie. tracking where I've walked, when outdoors? I could not find such option on Tizen.
I know AW offers strength and fitness apps to track stuff, but do those apps only work on certain devices that support it or does it work on all device like the Mission? Related question, anyone know if the GPS on the Mission is accurate for outdoors(I would think it would be since it's marketed as a surf and snow watch)?
Do all AW track steps and other fitness metrics the same, or is that dependent on the app?
Hi,
can you advise me some ultra cheap chinese smartwatch only for developing (around 20€)? I'm begginer android developer and I want to develop also version for smartwatch. I don't need any heart rate sensor, GPS, cellular, etc ... Also I don't care about design. I need only a battery life for 3+ hours and bluetooth.
Do you have any ideas? And what about OS - I need Android or Android Wear?

It is possible to run my own application on this smartwatch?
Thanks
