Yes it has, and you can unlock and relock it.
So of I loose my phone nobody can get in as they don't have the correct gmail?

Normally yes, if you have bootloader locked, frp locked, stock recovery and a password at lock screen it is hard that someone else could use your p9 lite. To use your p9 lite without your gmail need to flash another rom and to do that you need a custom recovery but for a custom recovery you need bootloader unlocked and also frp unlocked and for that you need to turn on the phone and know the password at lockscreen.
How do I make sure bootloader and FRP are locked? My friend said the p9lite doesn't have FRP Lock but I'm sure it does.
I thought that even if it did have FRP and I lost phone, they could change from (build number) by flashing or using Odin regardless of bootloader.

You need to enter in fastboot mode to see if you have frp and bootloader locked. To do that there are different ways:
1) adb from pc and using command on the terminal;
2) volume down + power button on same time for 10sec (this seems to not work on p9lite);
3) (probably the fast way) Shutdown your phone, press and hold volume down and while holding connect it to computer by an usb cable, after some seconds it will enter in fastboot mode. ( to exit from here and reboot system press and hold power button for 10sec)
Here you can see, down, in green color:
Phone lock (means bootloader locked);
FRP lock.
Or if they are unlocked, you will see them write in red color.
As I know Odin is for Samsung terminals and yes with it probably you can directly push other roms from PC(if you have theme) and yes FRP lock will be useless. Same things can do with mediatek terminals using SpFlashTool (was tested by me and frp was useless). For our device as I know there aren't those types of application on PC. We have HiSuite but can't do nothing from it.

Thinking about it I've only ever used Odin on Samsung. When I'm home I'll check if bootloader is locked. But I'm assuming it is as everything is stock/unrooted.
I've never factory reset and bothered to see if it was FRP locked, the lazy way to check.
I'll check when I go home.

Settings>developer modes, here it is an option:
Enable OEM unlock. If you enable it you will unlock FRP, by default it is disabled.

The OEM UNLOCK enabled disables FRP Lock right? But out of the box the OEM UNLOCK is disabled which means the FRP lock is active?

Yep! When you will go home to try fastboot mode, try also to change OEM unlock and you will see the difference. (about bootloader unlock you need a key that you can receive from Huawei for free, need to register somethings about your p9lite).

if "frp active" means frp lock, yes the oem unlock must be disabled so no one can flash other roms from stock recovery cause it will request gmail account but, if you have twrp recovery it's useless to lock ("active") frp cause from twrp recovery everyone else can flash everything (it's possible cause from twrp you can do wipe of system that you can't do from recovery stock).

Hello Everybody.
I have problem with my huawei p9 lite, problem with FRP.
Phone has bootloader unlocked, about 3 months ago i was flashing VNS-L21C432B370 with emui 5.0 and android 7.0. Yesterday i was trying flashing another rom (B380) and it is impossible because i have FRP locked.
I cannot write TWRP. Is there a way to unlock FRP?
Best regards.

I have Damaged Huawei Y3 II with lock bootloader (no turn on - only recovery and fastboot). I tried to flash stock rom, but nowhere I could find him. I wrote to Huawei, they wrote back that at this time there is no such anywhere. I tried to unlock the bootloader using fastboot, but do not have a code that enables and I can not get it because the phone does not turn on, previously had no developer options. The only thing I know is the phone's IMEI number, serial number and a detailed model (Lua-L21) and the name of the software Lua-L21C576B105. I tried to generate the id of the product in HuaweiIdGenerator, but there is no such model, and I only need this to unlock the bootloader. Is anyone able to help me? Maybe someone can generate my ID od my Huawei phone? Thanks for the answers.

Hi What kind of phone
Hey guys, I upgraded from C432B200 to C432B560 and I just realized FRP is now locked in bootloader. I've tried turning off 'OEM unlocking' in settings but it is greyed out. Anyone have any idea on how to go around this without using DC-Phoenix?
Same problem here too....
here to , and system does not booting
Go back to 4 or 4.1 and keep FRP lock open, unlock bootloader, flash Nougat, do not factory reset or reset developer options. Then click USB debugging and flash TWRP.....
great, that works like described!
45 minutes work including downloads

Hi guys, I need help because I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 + (live demo unit) G975X and I put the rom of the G975F and I discovered just as another user of this forum had already done, that the device recognizes my SIM card but there is no connection Since he has no imei. I would like to know how I can put an imei on the device so if you can help me I would appreciate it.
Another thing is that when I wanted to root the device, I can't unlock the bootloader. I followed the steps of the tutorials (activate developer mode and activate OEM unlock and USB debugging) But when I press the buttons to enter the bootloader the device restarts. I can only enter the download mode through recovery but when I enter I do not get any information about its status and others and there is no option to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks for your attention.

Stuck in fastboot with locked bootloader and no recovery = I'm afraid your only remaining option is EDL mode flashing.
I'm curious to know how this brick happenned though. Did it poweroff during a MIUI OTA update or something?

Hello,
Have you tried this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r0c5rKxtYo
Step 1 : First You Go To Fastboot Mode Your Phone
Step 2 : Then Open CMD From Your Computer
Step 3 :Then Write : fatboot oem edl-enter : Press Enter
But I think that the edl mode with bootloader locked is not allowed.
I think you will have to do test point.
Regards!

Dont work friend usb debuggin is disabled
Good everyone, something serious has happened to me with my 9 t, I got updated and when I updated it, when I restart I came out the file is corrupted, and the phone is restarted, when it restarts "The system has been destroyed", and the phone stays there , I boot it into bootloader and tells me that it is locked and I can not flash it that I have to activate usb debugging, but the phone does not turn on it looks as if it does not have operating system because when you turn it on it always comes out The system has been destroyed.
bootloader closed
Is there a solution?
I assume you were on stock MIUI right ?
Can you boot into the stock recovery (power + vol up)? If yes you can use "Connect with Mi Assistant" and use Mi PC Suite to reflash the stock ROM. (not in english but easy to come by walkthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXBfutNHNlo)
If not or it doesn't work and you can't unlock the bootloader with Mi Unlock then you have no choice but EDL mode/testpoints with authorized account, or warranty/return to Mi center...
Ok ShiningScias
Yes, Stock Miui.
Fixed with testpoint method.
Thanks a lot
