Just wondering if there is a mod out there that can remove navigation button until you need them? I know they had one for MM to where you can press button at bottom and make them go away until you actually needed them....do they have one for N? Thanks in advance to all who reply. :good:
We'll have to wait for GravityBox and Xposed to get updated for Nougat.

Try this

Or you can try dynamic navbar that is even compatible with Xposed

I know, it don't need Xposed to work, has only a setting to hide navbar with Xposed but program it self work without it.
Anyway maybe you can try even a pie app or swipe gesture (on play store) they're alternative way to navbar

Hi,
I'm searching for a mod that I use on 4.2 for KitKat. I have a thin navbar with a recent button (the recent app-button is from G2 Xposed) and the thin navbar is a modified file I changed (because the G2 Xposed navbar height didn't work well, left a gap on stock launcher).
Do anyone know if there is something like this working for Kitkat?
Thank you!

well if u don't want to get your hands dirty, u can use the third party apps such as
Ultimate Dynamic Navbar Lite
link:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.udn.lite
Pie support(with installation instructions)
link:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2689890
Otherwise ,
DeOdex then Decompile LGSystemUI.apk and use the following thread as guide

Is the first app confirmed working with KitKat? I would rather just replace a system file, but I'm not confident enough to edit the code myself.
Rather than using an app for it, which seems unnecessary for the small change i need.

Yes It works i've tested it myself
BTW used xposed module (Bundled inside UDN Refer post #2 ) to spoof the navbar.

What Xposed module? Everything I"m trying on the Verizon KitKat OTA isn't allowing me to add a Recents key (replace menu key with Recents).
Ultimate Dyanmic Navbar Lite adds the recents key ... but i don't like the way it auto-hides / covers things on screen.
Hi guys i have brought moto g 2014 3days back. and i wonder is there is any option to add more options like rotation toggle.
Its upto you, if you only want extra toggles then go for without root method and if you want to still customize your phone to a greater level go for root method.
With Root : This will add extra toggles in the quick settings.
Unlock bootloader, root your device. Link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/guide-root-moto-g-2nd-gen-2014-t2874245
Install Xposed Framework and GravityBox KK module. Link : http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Without root : This will add a bunch of extra toggles in the notification screen.
Install Notification Toggles Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle.
Or Power Toggles.
Exposed framework + Gravity box = lots of happiness
Thank u guys for ur response
Have another doubt
I was using cm for past one year now i switched to the moto g. Cm has a feature to open quick toggle by swiping status bar from right side. Is it possible in moto g.
I am not rooted bcz i am still warranty and i dont want to avoid it by rooting

Very hard to do with one hand only.
The left/right way is much more effective.

Just saying that the left/right implementation is better than Google's one/two finger method.
GravityBox essentially turns the stock rom into CM or similar. You have all the features, there's no need to actually have CM anymore if you ask me. The only downside is that you do need root (or more specifically, you need root to install XPosed framework, which gravity box needs).

I don't suppose gravitybox could take my old nexus s to KitKat

No, but if you have a stock-rom that's basically AOSP and the latest version of Android, you don't really gain anything by going for a custom rom versus just using GravityBox. The latter version also still allows you to update the stock rom in the normal fashion.

I agree Gravity Box is the way to go. My only mistake was integrating updates into system and now can't get OTA updates. Complains about chrome.apk, etc during verification OTA.
Do you have a twrp backup of the stock XT1068 system for UK version that you could share? (21.11.14.titan_retgb.retgball.en.GB.retgb)
Disable Quick Settings
Is there an option to disable Quick Settings from the top right?
Thanks for the useful info
is there are app or a instructions on how to change /modify softkeys (navbar keys) for the nexus 6p?

This this this. Xstana is awesome. It's an Xposed module so you would need to flash xposed framework in order to use it but its super easy to change the navbar around with this app. There's another Xposed module called "nexus navbars" that works the same way as well.
Softkeyz in the playstore is another way
If you are rooted and your ROM supports layers, you can use layers manager. There is a layer called "navigate" by Rohit Chouhan. It had like 20 different styles to use, and it is much easier if you don't want to mess around with Xposed.
Hey guys! I found a way (kinda) to enable navbar(navigation bar/soft buttons).
First I would like to say that this way was found by user @manderspaul , and all thanks and donations(lol, why not ) should go to HIM. So HUGE THANKS bro!
And here's the guide:
Download Good Lock UI(Try getting it from Galaxy Store, just because it's safe)
Install Xposed(the one provided by wanam works great)
Install GravityBox [MM] from Xposed
Now, go to navigation bar settings, and tap on master switch and then enable navbar.
Reboot Your phone and enjoy!
NOTE: TouchWiz launcher will be slightly messed up(smaller) after that, so I would recommend You to use other launcher(Nova works fine)
My setup: XtreStoLite 3.3 + stock kernel(G920F).
To Do:
Add Navbar to stock SystemUI.

I was rooted, had xposed installed and realized that the fingerprint scanner is much slower and not as responsive as when i am on stock B27 or just stock and rooted.
Stock = less than a second to unlock
Stock + root = less than a second to unlock
Stock + root + xposed (without modules yet) = more than a second to unlock and device performance seems to take a hit. UI lags very often.
I have tried this on a clean setup as well same issue. anyone else with xposed having similar or better experience?

I had the same issue on b20, but couldn't figure out what was causing it. Do you have gravitybox? Maybe some part of it is affecting how quickly the phone wakes up?

I had modules before (xprivacy, xposed additions and Audio Stream Music Default). But on the clean install I had just xposed and still the same issue.
Looks to me that there might be some interfering between Mifavor UI and xposed.
They should really consider going stock when they release Nougat. Less hassle for them to maintain and easier for us to deal with.

Thanks for the reply guys!
I think I might have figured the root cause of the issue. I installed my modules one by one and realized that uninstalling xprivacy module fixed the issue. It's unfortunate since it was one of my favourite modules
my modules for whoever is interested:
-Audio Stream Music Default - pressing volume keys anytime changes media volume instead of ringtone volume
-xposed additions - cutomize volume keys with multiple taps, long presses for multiple use on lockscreen, screen on/off (i use it for long press volume up or down to switch tracks)
-xprivacy - to control what permissions apps use (but doesnt seem to work with MiFavor so i disabled it)
I had this problem while I was on b20, it went back to normal after I went and updated to b27 via @DrakenFX 's method.. When I came back up with b27, root, xposed, bl unlock, haven't had the slow fingerprint problem If it helps anyone else..

Currently it's not activated.
But 2 days ago, when I installed it firstly, after reboot I couldn't use the phone: it couldn't even get to the pin screen. It was continously doing a screen on and off.
I had to uninstall gravitybox via adb from my pc.
But it has to work (it says you have to activate it) even if it's not activated. At least, on my other device (Moto x style) it does.
