Hey guys! I found a way (kinda) to enable navbar(navigation bar/soft buttons).
First I would like to say that this way was found by user @manderspaul , and all thanks and donations(lol, why not ) should go to HIM. So HUGE THANKS bro!
And here's the guide:
Download Good Lock UI(Try getting it from Galaxy Store, just because it's safe)
Install Xposed(the one provided by wanam works great)
Install GravityBox [MM] from Xposed
Now, go to navigation bar settings, and tap on master switch and then enable navbar.
Reboot Your phone and enjoy!
NOTE: TouchWiz launcher will be slightly messed up(smaller) after that, so I would recommend You to use other launcher(Nova works fine)
My setup: XtreStoLite 3.3 + stock kernel(G920F).
To Do:
Add Navbar to stock SystemUI.
Click to collapse
Been using this abt a week now. Using it on stock. Working good

Works, but sometimes there is a black bar in landscape and is kind of buggy

Hi,
I'm searching for a mod that I use on 4.2 for KitKat. I have a thin navbar with a recent button (the recent app-button is from G2 Xposed) and the thin navbar is a modified file I changed (because the G2 Xposed navbar height didn't work well, left a gap on stock launcher).
Do anyone know if there is something like this working for Kitkat?
Thank you!

well if u don't want to get your hands dirty, u can use the third party apps such as
Ultimate Dynamic Navbar Lite
link:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.udn.lite
Pie support(with installation instructions)
link:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2689890
Otherwise ,
DeOdex then Decompile LGSystemUI.apk and use the following thread as guide

Is the first app confirmed working with KitKat? I would rather just replace a system file, but I'm not confident enough to edit the code myself.
Rather than using an app for it, which seems unnecessary for the small change i need.

Yes It works i've tested it myself
BTW used xposed module (Bundled inside UDN Refer post #2 ) to spoof the navbar.

What Xposed module? Everything I"m trying on the Verizon KitKat OTA isn't allowing me to add a Recents key (replace menu key with Recents).
Ultimate Dyanmic Navbar Lite adds the recents key ... but i don't like the way it auto-hides / covers things on screen.
I have been using pac-roms rom for months but feel it is missing something - the stylus. Any tips on the rom closest to pac-roms excellent work but with stylus support?

Can't you flash the Note 3 Mod pack and get all the features that way?? Never used Pac-Man Rom, sorry if that doesn't work.

That won't work no :c, it's depending on the Touchwiz framework :c

Oh I see, can't you put the touchwiz framework files into the ROM then try that way?? Or would the mess up the ROM?
If it was that easy, we would've had CyanoWiz by now ;D !! (so that's a definitive no no)

Well here's a tip
Go take a look at Xposed Framework. (1st hit on google leads to the topic i guess )
With this you can customize any stock rom to it's fullest extent.
Only pre-requisites are Root.
Go install a rom with Note 3 features, remove all the stuff you don't want, install the stuff you want (launchers etc).
Install Xposed Framework !
Install Wanam Xposed (from store or xposed installer) (( 4.3+ roms))
Modules i'm using:
- Advanced Reboot Menu
- All Notifications Expanded
- App Settings (set DPI per app)
- Chrome New Tab (opens up a new tab in chrome, instead of always losing the page you were on) ((when pressing a link outside chrome browser))
- Greenify ("freeze" apps, so they won't use any battery life)
- SwipeBack (just check it out)
- XuiMod (allows you to change pretty much every animation ((apps opening/closing, go to other "page" in an app, toasts etc etc)
There are lots more.

Thanks for this, still love the pac-rom but as stated it does not use the hardware. I will take a look at the Xposed framework although I am a little scared of killing my phone!
If i understand your reply the stock rom is the base then add or remove Xposed on top and play around from here,
@Neal
Exactly that, you can use Xposed to modify any Rom basically :silly:

How is defendant on what ROM you are running and depending on the ROM it will then depend on if you are running Dalvik or ART. If you are on a TW ROM and are not concerned with running ART you can use Xposed with the Gravity box module that has the option to customize the navigation bar. If you are using an AOKP or CM11 ROM you can also use Xposed with Gravity box module but the ROM itself may have an option in settings/personalization to customize the navigation bar. Hope this leads you in the right direction

how did you manage to get navigation bar on the ROM in the first place? With official stock 4.4.2 ROM you may still be able to use xposed installer im not quite sure again how did you get nav buttons in the first place?
Xposed with immersive mode. App settings module allows you to set full screen in chosen apps.
Hi there, it looks like my bottom part of my nexus 4 touch is dead which makes the navigation bar unresponsive, however i was able to make it work with the help of xposed framework by increasing the height of navbar.
My question is can't i make modification in the rom itself and flash it and make it a parmanent fix so that everytime i factory reset rom i dont have to use xposed framework? Because uninstalling the gravitybox app reverts the changes i made to navbar. If this is possible please let me know the procedure for the same.
Thanks
(Current using AICP rom)

You could install a ROM that has this option incorporated in it, like Chroma, for example. There are more such ROMs in the development section.

Well, another solution would be to decompile framework-res.apk and change the DPI from there. But, as I don't know much about coding, I can't really help you with this...
I just posted this question.
Just wondering if there is a mod out there that can remove navigation button until you need them? I know they had one for MM to where you can press button at bottom and make them go away until you actually needed them....do they have one for N? Thanks in advance to all who reply. :good:
We'll have to wait for GravityBox and Xposed to get updated for Nougat.

I know, it don't need Xposed to work, has only a setting to hide navbar with Xposed but program it self work without it.
Anyway maybe you can try even a pie app or swipe gesture (on play store) they're alternative way to navbar
