I just bought a factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, it has the dual sim slots and is the SM-G9350 model. Now, the person who sold it to me said it works on Verizon, and everywhere I search it says it should be compatible. But when I put my Verizon SIM card in, which is already activated, it isn't saying I have service. It recognizes there is a SIM and that it is Verizon, but it says like cellular network unavailable. Am I doing something wrong? I've never bought a factory unlocked phone, I know nothing about it, like where is it from? How does it work? It doesn't even have samsung keyboard or anything. Please help!!!
Did you search the IMEI to see if the phone is lost/stolen? I bought a S7 Edge and the same thing happened to me... I called the network (Telus) and they informed me that it was a reported phone so I can't use it. Kicker is that they can't even contact the original owner! So I had to root it and installed Xposed, now I'm stuck on how to unlock the network or change the IMEI

I did, the imei isn't coming up anywhere because the phone is from Hong Kong or something. But the seller had it activated with tracfone.

Had my Verizon Galaxy note 3 running on the T Mobile network flawlessly until one day a week ago I woke up with no network connection. Upon contacting T Mobile I was told that the IMEI had been reported stolen so it was blocked. I contacted Verizon and they confirmed that this has (inadvertently) happened and the IMEI had been blocked. They unblocked the IMEI for me and I was able to later confirm through several online sources that the IMEI was no longer showing stolen. HOWEVER!!! My note 3 will no longer work on the T Mobile network and they are telling me that the phone is now locked...
I purchased a brand new sim card and had it activated on my line through T Mobile, still nothing. I have put a Verizon SIM from my sisters Verizon account into my phone and it immediately has 4G LTE..
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT VERIZON HAS CARRIER LOCKED MY NOTE 3????? CAN THEY DO THIS? IF SO HOW DO I UNLOCK IT SINCE NO ONE HAS CODES FOR CDMA PHONES (ESPECIALLY VICIOUS VERIZON)???
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, I HAVE NOT HAD MY PHONE ON THE NETWORK FOR A WEEK NOW AND I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING. VERIZON IS TELLING ME THE PHONE IS NO LONGER BLOCKED.

You can contact with you service provider . or you can resolve this issue if you contact with any cell pone hardware dealer.
Verizon will not replace your note 3 unless you are a Verizon customer. You would have more luck if you called while the phone was activated to your sisters account and asked for a replacement. It would most likely be a CLN device, but it will work on TMobile

SIM problem with i9505
I have an s4 which was on Tmobile, i upgraded in a shop to a note 3 om EE and had my number ported to the note 3, ever since the s4 will not take an EE sim card, it just says there is no sim inserted, strangely though there is signal showing but when you try to dial out it says not registered on network, i have spoken to Tmobile, EE and taken it into numerous shops, essentially they are useless and dont want to know, i dont think the SIM socket is damaged as it takes every other sim and works fine. I just flashed an EE stock firmware to it but still it doesnt seem to accept the EE sim.
I have also put root checker on the phone which is saying the unit is not rooted properly, if that is so then surely i wouldnt have been able to flash the firmware to it ?.
Not sure what steps i should take now to try to sort this out, the carrier is denying that the problem was caused by them, some have said that it is locked from the EE network, if that was so i would have no service, not an uninserted sim error.
Is there something that will unlock it if indeed it is a lock problem (which i dont think it is)
Ok

OK, so I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 from an friend of mine, and found out that it was from a different carrier than my phone before this one, (which I still have and could use if this can't be fixed) the S5 is from AT&T, and I usuall do Virgin Mobile. I know that when I put in my old SIM card it will ask me for a SIM key, which I do not have. My question is, is there a way to get the SIM key, or do I have to have access to my friend's AT&T account in order to get it? People say I have to call my carrier to get the key, but I'm not sure if that is how it works. Thank you in advance.
OK sounds good. But I heard that you can contact the network it came from to get it, or is it the network your SIM card is from? If it's the company the phone came from, then it would be AT&T, and would I need to have my friend's at&t account in order to get the Network Code? If that's the case, then I'll just have to use the website you gave.
I traveled to another country and bought and linked a pre-paid SIM data card for my Samsung S7 Edge and incorrectly entered the network unlock code too many times, and now my phone is permanently locked to AT&T (U.S) network. I've contacted AT&T and they say there is nothing they can do... Is there a solution for this?
Might be best to post this in the AT&T thread?
Hello all!
I bought the Samsung S7 phone in unlocked condition from eBay in US. Then I had to move to India for work related purposes and I was able to use the phone using an Indian sim. The phone developed charging issues and it was not charging. So I had to send it to US where Samsung changed the motherboard. Now, I received the phone which is working but it shows invalid sim if I put any Indian sim. It seems Samsung have restored the phone to original settings which is locked to Sprint network. Samsung tells me to contact Sprint. While Sprint says that they need the account details or confirmation from the person who bought the phone from Sprint. The eBay account from which I got the phone does not exist anymore.
I think I need to unlock the phone so that I can use other sim in India. Could anyone suggest what could be done here?
Thanks!
