This error used to happen to me when trying to effectively downgrade from 6.0.1 to 6.0. The upgrade you flashed by accident changes something that won't allow a downgrade, maybe partitions or something.
I don't have an answer other than finding a firmware that's compatible with dual SIM and is 6.0.1
Stick to custom Rom until a 6.0.1 official firmware becomes available to your variant.

Have you tried this one? It seems to be newer (it has the -3 after 18) of I remember correctly, that means it's the newest available.

Same error Sir,
Preflash validation failed.
If you find any solution please do tell me.
Could you tell me exactly the name of the 1575 firmware you installed by mistake?
I still think it's to do with the update being newer because I've installed a 1575 on my UK 1572, and it worked fine (but it was a modded rom, from twrp, not an official via fastboot. I don't know if that could break it because modded ones just change the system partition, not boot etc.
Also, quick question: if you try and flash that 1575 that you flashed by mistake, does that finish with no errors? Or is that giving errors too? I know it is a hassle but it would tell us if you can flash anything at all, and it's just blocked by a downgrade blocking system, or if nothing flashes anymore.

Sir, the one i flashed (XT1572_CLARK_RETEU_6.0.1_MPHS24.107-58-1) is this. And sorry its a RETEU rom for 1572 not 1575 (my mistake).
If i flash this rom, it flashes without Error, but after flashing it on my 1572, it does not detect any one of my two sims.
Link of the rom is here (http://dl.prazaar.de/Android/XT1572.../XT1572_CLARK_RETEU_6.0.1_MPHS24.107-58-1.zip)

Sorry to hear that but unfortunately the Motorola's official firmware center link has been removed all you need to do is wait for nougat firmware aka (fastboot files)
You can't even downgrade as it'll throw pre valid errors over you
And btw der was no 6.0.1 for Retasis_ds
Thanks

as Firmware.Center is down, Use these links
6.0.1 with september 2016 security, (download might be slow)
http://www.filefactory.com/file/66c...S24.107-58-5_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
6.0 with september 2016 security,
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmwar...HS24.49-18-8_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
once you boot up, both will give you the december security ota....
You can relock the device if the EU version number that you flashed is less than these firmwares. if you get prevalidation error then skip fastboot oem lock and flash gpt commands
Thanks Sir.

Hi M3 users,
I would like to kindly ask you if it is possible to flash european(C100) or chinese(C233) version of the ROM to US version of M3(C128).
I successfully unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP(by greatslon) and rooted my BTV-W09. I managed to enable 5G via the build.prop modification too. But now I was thinking to flash over my US ROM(C128B003) with european one(C100B006) - is that possible and how difficult is it? I downloaded latest european build C100B006(1.8GB file) from Huawei's italian webpage and would like to flash it, unless there it may damage my M3. Is there any fool-proof way to do it safely?
Looking forward for your replies, many thanks and with best regards,
Tomas
Hi,
I have a BTV-DL09 (LTE version) EU C100 version.
I have successfully flashed C233, C199 and other versions. After this I reflashed the C100B009 and got my M3 like new.
Usually (with Huawei at least) the localized versions are interchangeable.
Best if you have also your original ROM, in any case
N
Many thanks for the info Nicolap,
so what is the procedure of flashing euro/chinese rom over my US version. Can it be done with TWRP? What is the safest way to do it?
Many thanks in advance
Tomas

Want to flash C100 firmware
Hey all, Just got my M3 from China.
Model No: BTV-W09
Build Number: BTV-W09C233B030
Was wondering how should I proceed if I wish to flash to a UK version of the software? Any guides out there?
Many thanks for your help!
Not quite the same tablet but i had issues with updates on my EU flashed C100 (LTE version) rom as my hw vendor an oemregion partition was still asia.
To get things working properly i had to install the EU oeminfo partition THEN flash the correct firmware. Before that auto updates picked up nothing and on upgrading to Nougat things like bluetooth broke.
That was for the LTE version though.

Hi there!
I have the P9 Lite (VNS-L21, Single Sim)
Out of the box, it came with branded ROM Version VNS-L21C150B130
I've successfully updated to VNS-L21C432B170 (with dload method) but that changed the version to VNS-L21C900B170.
I don't have any problems with that, the phone runs flawlessly, but i can't update to Nougat.
How can i update to Nougat and what's the suitable version?
Any Help?
Meanwhile, i've unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP, i've flashed oeminfo's form C432, tried a few Nougat Roms but none successful.
(All fail while verification)
Finaly I've rolled back to C432B160 and then updated to C432B170.
From "Software Update" I got notification for updating to C432B370 (1,24GB) but the result is "ND90M Test-Keys".
What am i doing wrong?

So i have to re-unlock the bootloader and install twrp to flash Nougat from scratch.
The problem is that i'm on C432B170 and i get a notification for updating OTA to C432B370 which is 1,24GB and gave me test keys... How can i flash the "hw_data" after the OTA update?
Any answers?
Hello everyone,
I am here to tell you guys. If you ever updated/flashed stock nougat soak test/ official updates on your moto x play. And if you reverted back to marshmallow. Then don't flash any ota updates you've recieved . Because it will result in a hardbrick (no fastboot/recovery mode).
As of now, there are no proper blank flash files to rescue device from hardbrick .blank flash files are present in leaked nougat soak test fastboot firmware. But they aren't working on these hardbricked devices
And I have seen almost 5-7 guys in past few days hard bricking their device by flashing ota updates
Motorola already mentioned that once updated you cannot rollback to previous android versions.
NOTE: You cannot downgrade to a previous software version after installing this update.

Note: if you ever wanted to rollback to previous android version then fastboot flash boot, system, userdata partitions only

---------- Post added at 10:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 AM ----------
Plus suggest a Valid way to get back to 6.0.1 . Bettery life is terrible on 7.1.1 . It was bit better on 6.0.1...even after clearing dalvic cache n all the stuff from Twrp..device can be hard bricked??? ..
my devices is bricked ****
Once you have decided to use custom rom and unlocked your bootloader, you no longer use stock rom. even if you use stock rom, you shall not accept or install OTA updates.
Many guys got their devices hard bricked including me and there is no fix till date.. Gave to various service centers and all are saying to change Mother Board, which may cost around 8k approximately.. Emmc can be flashed via Jtag box.. But guys using Jtag box are very rare.. As of now my MXP is kinda paper weight !!!

There is no working blank flash files available.. You can get the MB Jtag Flashed or get the MB replaced.
Oh man, I wish I had this information before. Now my Moto X Play is also bricked
Well, I guess I'll wait to see if a method to unbrick comes along in the near future.
Hey Guys, Yes, I Know, there exists already some threads about that problem, but often there are not accurately so I ask you again.
I have a VNS-L31 Dual Sim, bought in Germany without Brand, and I had Resurection Remix installed. I had some Problems with SafetyNet and so on so I decided to switch to the Stock Rom. After some Problems with the data partition (witch I forgot to format), I have now a working OS, flashed with DLoad Method.
Build Number: VNS-L31C432B160
Locked Bootloader, stock Recovery
The Problem is, that this OS does not recieve any updates, and it would be perfect to have nougat on this one. I tryd Firmware Finder already, but after try to upgrade to B370, the Upgrader said "failed to check the upgrade files. Please download once again.". It was a Full OTA Upgrade. Other Versions result into the same or simmilar failures like compatibility issues.
Do you have a Idea how to fix that?
I'm sorry for my bad english
Have a nice day
