Upgrade ROM gives ERROR 011 - What does this mean??????

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 RC1 and having successfully used the USB connection to update the ROM on my 02 XDA 1, I then discovered that I have the T Mobile version of software.
It all works fine but I did not want T mobile so I used ROM kitcehen to create a new ROM and tried to load this. Unfortunately I now get two errors. The first is via the Command prompt "ERROR: GetDeviceData - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. error getting devicedata" and the second from the upgrade software "Error 011 Execute Remote Communications Program Error. Cannot execute the remote communications program. Please make sure the USB/Serial cable is properly connected". Since my USB connection is properly connected - I can synchronise with my PC and load applications to the XDA - then I am unsure what to do.
Can anyone please offer assistance with resolving this problem?

I just tried it with the keywords Error and 011 and i got 20 hits.
The first one was your posting an the second one gives you the answer, why you're getting this error and how to fix it....

A beginners question

Hi,
I have installed an 4.01.15 ENG rom from http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/.
And now I can't install any other ROM with the following error:
ERROR: GetDeviceData - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote
host.
error getting devicedata
I know its a known problem however from what ive seen it only happens when trying to downgrade. Well I'm trying to install a newer version and this still happens.
What can be done?

Yes your right it's a well known problem bcz you used the T-mobile rom 4.01.16, You just need to flash back your unit using the Sd method.

Even if i try to upgrade??
The problem is taht i dont have an SD nor an SD reader/writer.
What can I do?
What actually fails?
Maybe its just an API that can be patched?

Resource Assembly error XDA 2

Hi
I have recently purchased an XDA 2. I have installed Finspreads(trading platform software).
Once i start to enter my username and pass, it comes up with an error message of " could not connect - system error : could not find resource assembly" ????/
i've searched everywhere but cannot find what the prob may be? I'm also new to the whoel XDA thing so please bare with me.

Problem with SeasGee -> downloading packedephemeris.ee file?

Hello to all! I'm new to the forum, but I have read a lot of information here and really like it.
I have an HTC Touch Diamond II. I had to do a software reset. Now I don't have a Quick GPS, that's why I downloaded SeaSgee. It worked and downloaded the packedephemeris.ee, but now when I click on Download button, it shows me this error:
Error: Send error!
I think that the problem is in the phone options or in the firewall of the windows XP may be...

[SOLVED] error: protocol fault (no status)

Hi all,
When trying to adb to my legend on windows 7 I kept getting,
Code:
C:\AndroidSDK\tools>adb devices
error: protocol fault (no status)
after searching for 2 days through various posts I still could not get it to work, even though it had worked fine previously.In the end it was a simple fix
Open task manager and search for adb.exe and right click > end process.
Hope this helps someone else
Ive also attached a batch file that does the job 4 u.

Sir i bought an Locked Sprint HTC ONe...
Unlocked it..
But the Mobile Sharing Option is not visible...
So i am not able to insatll apk via Computer..
its Showing Errors... Device Not Found and Fault error..

hello Sir i have amazon fire phone 64gb . I tried a custom rom after that i am stuck on amazon logo i tried to install stock rom with adb but after some % it shows error protocol fault(no status) . I have tried every step but its happening yet please help me how to fix my phone
