I have recently attempted to root my phone using KingRoot. Its failed to root, there was no problem after restarting my phone several times. Then I attempted KingoRoot, afterwards I get a security warning saying "Android SE has been turned off, restart phone to undo unauthorized changes" so I did. After that Ive been stuck on the Metro animation ever since. Do I need to use ODIN to install stock firmware/kernel or should I attempt to change my rom?

Hey all-
I'm having some serious issues with my Spica, including it shutting off during calls, randomly changing settings without me prompting it.
I had previously attempted to root it using z4root because I don't feel totally comfortable messing with Odin. The problem is that z4root changed my Kernel version in my settings to 2.6.29 root sep-57 #2
but the phone isn't actually rooted and never was. superuser wasn't installed, and apps that need root don't recognize my phone.
when i go back into z4root, there is supposed to be an unroot option, but because the phone isn't actually rooted, the only option is root, which would just attempt the process again and call it successful when it isn't.
i want to at least try getting my phone unrooted before i give up on it.
thanks for any advice.
I also forgot to add the worst problem:
My lock screen no longer activates, at all. I have no more lock on my phone.

Hi,
I have reported this thread to be moved to the right Q & A section where you might be able to get help quickly.
Good luck.
Everytime I try to root my phone(SM-G530AZ) and I restart it, the phone says "Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software and is locked. I had rooted and than unrooted my phone about 2-3 times before that started occuring. My phone is fine now.But I still want to root it. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a better way?
You have to use flashify and take the boot file you extracted. You do this after you remove kingroot. Then it works but I am also having a problem hopefully someone could help but everything works fine but the wifi doesn't work.
Where would the boot file be?
I'm having trouble connecting to the mobile network after I, very stupidly, tried to install Magisk on my phone after rooting it using this method: "Root For The S7/S7 Edge Oreo Is Finally Here!!" (search this in the xda forums, I can't upload links yet)
After installing Magisk, I tried to boot and got this message on the screen that basically said I couldn't boot due to a change to the boot image. I fixed that by installing the "G930PVPU6CRE7_G930PSPT6CRE7_SPR" stock firmware from sammobile. After this is that the problem presented itself. I could boot again and everything was pretty much fine except I could not get the phone to connect to the Sprint network. I've wiped and flashed the phone several times, I have even downloaded the stock firmware from different sources and nothing. I also tried activating the phone through the setting with no success.
Somebody, please help me, I've spent my whole day on this and I am getting stressed out.
I have a Stock Samsung S7 from AT&T running Nougat.. I've tried https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616 to root my phone, The odin does it's thing.. the Root.bat does it's thing.. I get no errors, the phone reboots and has Flashfire, SuperSU, and Sefix apps on the phone that weren't there before. But I'm getting no root. I have tried every method under the sun that google has shown me on trying to root this phone, I have tried multiple ways from the various root processes here on the forums.. nothing...
