Hey guys, I'm a novice and I am very distressed at the moment. What should I do? Here's my full story:
About 5 months ago (December 23 2013), I bought a Galaxy Note 3 N900W8 Rogers from eBay (No warranty included. Yep not smart). After having received my phone in the mail, I proceeded to root it and install CWM recovery successfully. Until yesterday (May 11 2014), all was going fine till I decided to try and update my phone to Android 4.4.2. I couldn't get updates OTA since it kept telling me my phone was modified. So I plugged my phone to my computer and opened up Kies and apparently Kies was able to fetch an update for my phone. I started updating and came back later seeing that my phone was stuck on the logo screen "Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3" with the "Recovery Booting" in blue in the top left corner. I knew that after I updated my phone would be unrooted and CWM would be gone too so I decided to install those since I wasn't booted into Android yet. After rooting and installing CWM, I restarted several times but it wouldn't boot. I went into Recovery Mode and I did a factory reset and wiped cache. I restarted again but nothing, still stuck on the Logo screen. I am still able to go into download mode and recovery mode. I should have read the cautions of updating since once you update to 4.4.2, there's no going back.
Please help, I don't know what to do at this moment. Thanks in advance!
My phone is also unlocked. I also had a backup but I didn't know the update would format the memory of my phone so I lost everything.

Get the full firmware for your phone and install it with Odin (in download mode). Also read around the main threads on the N900W8.

Thank you so much! It worked when I flashed the 4.4.2 Rex firmware.
So basically I rooted my SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 with kingo root and so far okay. Then i decided to remove the root because i really didn't need it, i just wanted to try it out maybe for couple of days but after like 15 mins of rooting my device i decided to remove the root. I removed the root using the kingo app . First i did it it was a fail but on the second time it was all good . Suddently, the phone turned off by itself and it won't come back on i tried Recovery mode and wipe cache partition but nothing seemed to work. It's just stuck on the samsung logo when rebooting. (PS: i don't have the original battery of the phone)
PLEASE HELP
KIES Firmware recovery
ODIN
etc etc
Read up on how to root next time
Hello.
Im having trouble with my European (Sweden) Galaxy S6 Edge G925F.
I have used
twrp-3.0.2-0-zerolte.img
SpaceX-Kernel_MM_RC2.1_G925F
BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328
It worked well for some time and i goot root, keept the original 5.0.0.1 Android version.
Yesterday while recharging the phone i tried to enter the recovery and it got stuck in a bootloop, Samsung flashing logo.
I have read i need to clear the cashe to get it working but when entering twrp i cant get access to the phones memory :crying:
I have tried the latest twrp 3.0.2-1 and the then the phone never enters the recovery and gets stuck at Samsung Galaxy logo.
What can i do to clear the cashe? I woud like to keep the data on the phone if posible.
I have now installed TyrannusRomV28.1 and still got the same problem.
Anyone??
This is the wrong forum you asked in... This is the S6 Edge+ forum...

So I have had my Galaxy S7 G930A for about a month. I have had a android phone for several years. I found out that the S7 had a root method and I hopped on it. Once I rooted it was fine, until google play kept getting crashes so I rebooted my phone hoping it would fix it. Nope now the phone wont turn on it only gets past the Galaxy S7 screen. I tried reflashing and wiping data and no avail. Please help me. My PC Detects it in ODIN.
Did you flash the fix zip with flashfire?
I would return it to stock in Odin, then just start over
Hello, I'm a total novice when it comes to android modifications and whatnot, so I'll make this to the point.
I was trying to help my dad uninstall the bloatware on his Galaxy Grand Prime (running Lolipop 5.1.1), which includes some of the apps listed in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/help/bloatware-apps-t3079843
I used Kingoroot (which I read worked with mixed results) to one-click root his phone and used Root Uninstaller (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kunkunsoft.rootuninstaller&hl=en) to uninstall Samsung Account, Samsung Push service, Samsung Billing, Galaxy apps, and TMobile TV. Root Uninstaller said it required a reboot to uninstall packages so I rebooted and was greeted with a never-ending TMobile splash screen that would vibrate 4 times every 10-ish seconds. I cannot boot into safe mode either as I've tried the methods shown on TMobile's own website to do so with this model to no avail.
I've tried looking up the vibrating splash screen and some said that means it's bricked.
Is there any way to fix this without any loss of data?
Thanks.

Does that format the storage to do so or does it simply restore it to stock 5.1.1? I have no idea how to flash ROMs so pardon my questions.

No. It shouldn't format SD card storage or anything in sort. Although after flashing the firmware still doesn't fixed the bootloop issue your having then only way is to hard reset everything (which will wipe everything from data to storage files).
Check out this thread for flashing ROMs. It has great instructions for even beginners or noobs.
