Without an unlocked bootloader, you can NEVER use twrp. If you try, you'll brick it

When? Duh, just check your calendar. There should be an exact date and time that the bootloader will be unlockable for our device.

Probably never, Samsung has locked up most of the flagship models since the Note 3 in 2013. I haven't seen an unlocked boot loader since then

Hi guys. Bought a note 4 today, and it was rooted by a friend of mine using chainfire's method.
My question is, can you flash twrp or a rom without unlocking the bootloader, or is the bootloader not an issue and u don't have to mess with it?

i have a N910F Note 4 ( Snapdragon ) i have used CF auto root by Chainfire , and flashed CWM recovery (as TWRP is not "configured" for N910F , only for Tmobile ,Sprint and i see now for Canadian models ) No need to touch Bootloader .I believe some Note 4 models( ? not sure which ) may have locked Bootloaders .
So make sure before you do anything,what your model no is etc .etc

Only the at&t and verizon variants have a locked bootloader

There is no way of doing it at the moment, not sure there ever will be.

you can pay your carrier to have your device both simunlocked and bootloader unlocked
If I download the source they have out can't we use a modded version now and we can change roms?

No we cannot. The Verizon S7 has a locked bootloader. Only a kernel signed by Samsung can be flashed as long as the bootloader is locked.

Im having a LG G6 H870DS model.
But this model is not supporting for boot loader unlock.
So still will i be able to root my device by flashing superuser using TWRP?

But how ?! Flashing TWRP how ? Locked bootloader need to be unlocked before u do anything with ur phone
Some one said he will unlock bootloader for DS models in next month but only u can w8 for him or sell ur phone and buy a rootable phone

if u want change...u can buy a H870 Eu or US997 model of g6 they are unlocked and u can root them but if u want change i suggest u totaly dont buy LG phone again u can buy a OnePlus phone i think its a better idea

You need to unlock your bootloader. Without bootloader unlocked you cannot boot anything except amazon's stock android system.
