No u don't have to unlock the bootloader to root your phone.

how to back up lock bootloader? can this work?

hi as asus said void warranty due to unlock bootloader,
so m saying is there any method which creat backup of locked bootloader?
m thinking that is shakalaka's patched rom make again bootloader locked if flashed over unlock bootloader?

If it's still locked, do you mind keeping it that way for just a little bit? It's possible we can figure out how to re-lock if we can get a bootloader dump. It's also possible that unlocking your bootloader will report to ASUS that it's been unlocked and it will void the warranty even if we can figure out how to lock it back up.

try to flash working twrp with flashify let us know, if recvoery works or not. (do not unlock)

You need to unlock your bootloader. Without bootloader unlocked you cannot boot anything except amazon's stock android system.
