Hi
Any of these new 3g watches (s99, kw88, finow, d5, zblitz etc.) get 3g on T-Mobile USA?
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm currently living in Europe (France) but I will be moving to California (San Francisco) in early December. I own a blackstone, which I bought here in France.
How should I expect it to work in San Francisco? From what I understood, I might not enjoy 3G+ ... Is that true?
Any informations welcome
it will not have 3G service. Only the Tesla model will work with 3G in the states. My touch HD works works vary well in San Fran but it is the ausy model
As stated there is no 3G service.
However, plenty of free WiFi areas.
Ok, thank you very much! I guess there IS a 3G service, but my phone isn't compatible, right? In that case I'll just sell my phone before moving ... Or is it possible that there is still no 3G service in SF??

3G service in available in all major US cities; your phone needs to have the right US 3G bands. for at&t the 850/1900 band is used for 3G, for T-Mobile (i believe) it's 1700/2100.
what he said, so make sure the phone you buy next is North america 3G compatible (850-1900htz 3G). My Blackstone only has 850 htz 3G but I have never had a area where my ATT fuze was 3G and my Touch HD(ausy model) wasn't.
Okay, all clear now. Thanks a lot for all your help.
Cheers
Hi,
Can someone advice me where to buy GSM Maple in a good price in USA¿
Tested ebay but not too much success...
Thanks in advance,
For use in USA with AT&T, I would get the Telstra HTC SNAP S523. It supports the 850MHz band. You can find them on eBay. For Tmobile, the TMO Dash 3G using the 1700MHz 3G band. For UK, SNAP S521.
Thanks for the info
Hi all knowledgeable ones
I just moved to the US, and I'm trying to get my vodafone HTC Magic to go 3G with AT&T (or even T-mobile) but all I can get is 2G.
Anyone know the reason? Is it something to do with wrong radio frequencies? Can it be fixed, or is it just the wrong hardware?
Thanks in advance
Dave
becasue the rate that t mobile 3G use in USA is 1700MHz and at&t 3G use are 800/1900MHz but your phone 3G rete are 900/2100MHz. only 2G is available for you.
so i got this fantastic HTC Touch HD (unlocked) to replace my beat up sidekick. anyway i want to know if there's any way to use this phone on t-mobile's 3G network? what a shame it'd be if i cant.
If you have a T8282 (BLAC100) then it's not possible, the hardware isn't there to support US 3G bands. The T8285 (BLAC120) should work fine though.
Not on T-Mobile though, 8285 is for 850/1900 3G bands (AT&T) and you need 1700 for T-Mobile
It's a simple dream: to leave my phone at home and go running with my smartwatch streaming music. It seems so basic, yet few watches are capable of doing this because it requires 3G connectivity.
AT&T uses UMTS frequency bands 850 and 1900 while T-Mobile uses 1900. To my knowledge, there are only four watches that have both bands needed for 3G connectivity in the US:
LG Urbane 2 LTE
Samsung Gear S
Samsung Gear S2
Doogee S1
Do you know of any others? Please add it to this list.
I'd be careful when it comes to the Doogee S1. It kind of says a lot when even their official page has the specs wrong.
You also need to keep in mind that this is an international forum, so for a lot of people 850 and 1900 are not a requirement.
A few more...

US 3G options are very limited, but you can add the Neptune Pine, and Omate Truesmart. Suppossedly the new K9 Chinese smartwatch supports 3G on the AT&T 850Mhz band. Will not support 3G on T-Mobile since it only supports 2100Mhz 3G.

850MHz coverage is limited, AT&T primarily uses 1900MHz. As far as the TS, the original U.S. model hasn't been available for some time and all the new ones are 2100MHz only.
That's one of the reasons why I've keep my TS for so long. All the work you've done on this device plus the 3G. I wonder why the Chinese smartwatch manufactures won't include the US 3g bands. I would think the market is pretty big here in the US...
