att update! - BlackBerry Priv

is the att update to 6 available?
I am on tmobile, and every time I reboot I can see the system update dialog flashing on the screen for a brief while.
should I bother to get an att sim to get the update now or is it still not out?

I think you do need the AT&T SIM, unless you are in the beta program. Your only option without a SIM is use the reloader, AAG202 is Marshmallow with Sep 9 patches.
http://ca.blackberry.com/support/smartphones/Android-OS-Reload.html
It'll work with a GoPhone SIM without balance, just activate it on the website.

go to blackberry website and find ( reload OS ) there you will find New Firmware for AT&T Blackberry Priv.. Follow Instructions and you're done...
IT WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA AND WILL INSTALL NEW ANDROID VERSION 6.0.1 SO BUCKUP EVERYTHING

check how to update to 6.0 any att and not only

Anyone here from Australia? w/ Root and latest firmware.

Im in Perth and my S7 Edge is rooted while using the German Firmware APD1.
Thats it, no Xposed or any other modification.
When I launch my NAB bank app, its just black screen, can anyone else try? Im trying to find out if its the firmware or just NAB itself.
thanks
Banking apps sometimes dont work with root. Root cloak for xposed may help

Latest firmware is not out for Australia yet. I keep checking Sammobile every day for it. It shouldn't be too long now before they release it.
Does it matter which carrier your on. As optus vs Telstra vs the rest... When we get the updates of the ota, what's good about Sammobile?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
nevermind, I just checked the Play Store link for NAB,
people are complaining about it. Seems the app is not compatible with the April Update of Android.
I had root on my S7 Edge when I was in February 1 Update and the NAP app works. it stopped when I updated to April 1

I got my update there. Its gonna be awhile for the update to come here in Australia. Samsung S7 EDGE around the world is updated to the April 2 security patches, Edge touch palm fix, native DPI change and Camera shape fix, and were still in the February 1 update. h
Flashing unbranded or another country firmware means you'll lose VoLTE. Might not be an issue for many people, just thought I'd mention it.

whats VoLTE? is the LTE?
LTE/4G is working fine
EDIT!, just looked it up its Voice Over LTE, It seems to be a rare thing to have in Australia, only one telco has it and im not with them.
EDIT2: hey mate your from here too!, Telstra offers them to some few places, im with Optus
Telco devices in Australia are on the Feb patch, unbranded has March.
I debranded my phone with Aus fw, no root. This means Samsung Pay should work when it comes out here.
I like the firmware but not willing to root/cfw as yet... Kind of like being on a standard rom. Everything works as expected! Plus I'm sick of the setup process starting from scratch.. Does unbrandeding, root, new firmware loose all settings?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
You don't get root, so warranty is not affected, but you start from scratch.

Yes, you loose all settings (just like new device), you start from scratch, Knox will be tripped if you root (warranty now voided), but you get the latest security patches and device updates,
Also de-branding and rooting it removes carrier bloatware and unlocks your device.
Got a new Nexus 5X yesterday and unlocked it before I got going. After installing all the security updates I installed the NAB app to find I also get the black screen. Was wondering if it was something to do with rooting etc but if you guys are having the same issue after the recent security updates would that be a more likely cause?

Firmware updates list..?

Hi,
is there any place where I can find news about the latest firmware updates? Just to make sure my phone is keeping up with all the updates, being it from TW. I have no idea if i can still expect OTAs or if i'm going to have to update everything manually. I have a 990DS dual sim, absolutely no complaints so far, it really works like a charm ?
Your phone will auto update, just accept the updates if they appear in your notifications.
Also check update center under "about phone" in settings

Is anyone successfully running Nougat with Verizon?

I want to use Nougat on my HTC 10. I have the verizon version of the phone, but don't mind converting to any other version if necessary (or just easier) to move to Nougat.
I've been reading for days, but can't find any solid, complete information on how to do this, or really if even possible. I've found lots of pieces of the puzzle, but nothing that lists the steps, or requirements for making this work.
If you know how to get a Verizon phone working on Nougat firmware and have a working phone and data, I'd love to know EXACTLY how you managed to do so. If I can't have advanced calling right now, that's okay with me, but I do need a working phone and data at a minimum.
I've installed PMEUHL_2.28.401.9 firmware and LeeDroid_ROM_Nougat_HTC10_R21, but had to change the phone to SuperCID 1111111 to get it to install. I also had to change the firmware packages' android.txt file to have the MID match the phone (MID2PS650000).
I have everything running, but have no phone or data, so I'm stuck with wifi only at this point.
I don't mind if I have to wipe the phone again to get it working (I'd rather not), so long as I can use the phone on Verizon again.
Is it possible I just need to flash the verizon radio at this point, or do I just need to start from scratch?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Have you tried formatting data?
In TWRP > wipe > format data > (type) yes
(do at own risk, it won't hurt anything, just will wipe your internal. you ARE warned)
------------------
Side note, Advanced Calling only works on one ROM, and that is @santod040 amazing port found here
I run SuperCID all the time, It's suggested to do 22222222 instead of 11111111 but not a biggie at all.
I run Verizon firmware with multirom. I have my stock ROM as primary (this is a must) and then I can flash any N ROM as a secondary.
I have ICE N ROM, Leedroid N ROM, Santods ROM, AOKP MM and CM 14.1 all loaded up and working great with data.
----------------
As for what you want,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70104011&postcount=3
You could wait a little bit longer for it to be released. It's not far away.
For NuSense ROM do we still need to install with data unencrypted? I assume so because I don't think TWRP is updated for Android N. Thanks.
I'm on the new viper 4.3.1 which is N based without upgrading firmware. everything working pretty well and has great tweaks and theming. Give it a shot.
wifi calling and video calling seem to be bugged but the advanced calling is active for hd voice
id do it this way until Verizon updates, itll be soon.
Might just stay on MM, Idk I'm torn. If NuSense has VZW features working bug free I'll give that a shot

On the Downloads tab of the HTC 10 TWRP thread, there is an unofficial version of TWRP v3.0.2.7 which supports Nougat firmware. If you're still on Marshmallow firmware and use a Nougat ROM on it, you still might want to use the official TWRP v3.0.2.6.

When I was running N I couldn't browse the web and be on a phone call simultaneously. Also, HD calling and video calling did work for me. This was on LeeDroid N and I also tried Viper 2.4.0 with the same results.
Viper Nougat 4.x.x works perfectly fine on VZW Marshmallow firmware, except no advanced calling (wifi calling and VoIP).
Make sure to choose 6.0.1 firmware in the last option of Aroma to have fingerprint scanner working, as well as mobile data. (if you are on MM firmware!!) ROM does NOT install firmware.

Advanced calling is bugged on HTC's end, and will be until either an incremental official update or until a fix is found. TL: DR it will be bugged in all roms based of HTC N.

Is it safe to update/flash unlocked firmware after unlock?

By a service on ebay.
Was it remote access by USB cable then Factory unlocked? If so then you safe to flash any unlocked 935U. If your not with Sprint or any major US carrier best one to flash is the XAA.

If you go to a U Rom the downside you might lose your band 30 and the carrier aggression. AT&T doesn't have a Unlocked rom. So you would have to use XAA 935U which is a universal American unlocked ROM. AT&T uses band 30 pentrate inside buildings where band 17, 2, 4 and 5 can't get. But that's the only downside being unlocked with AT&T.
But can I update once the Nougat firmware comes out?

If it's the 935U you will be automatically have an update. You probably get that sometime later this month or next month. Since they only do quarterly updates. I think carriers in the US should start seeing Nougat next week. I'm on a Tmobile rom for that reason and to have other features that the unlocked rom doesn't have on it.

SM-G975U1 compatible One UI 2 beta update

Does anyone have an ODIN compatible update for the One UI 2 beta that would work for the US factory unlocked S10+ (SM-G975U1)? I saw a T-Mobile only update.zip, but that only works on T-Mobile locked ones.

If I'm currently on G975U1ES2BSIE, I assume I can't just flash that update.zip file because it says you must be coming from BSI4. Is it safe to ODIN flash the BSI4 version and then recovery flash the update.zip? You would have to flash BSI4 U firmware via odin first then update zip after full boot. U1 beta has been delayed now untill who knows when. So basically we're stuck with bloat if we want the beta until further notice.

Hmm so I'm not able to grab it while on BSIC; any chance you have the update.zip file
I have the U1 (512 unlocked Snapdragon). I flashed the T-Mobile U image (downloaded using Frija, then flashed with Odin), and then saved the ota zip to an SD card and flashed that update via recovery. Haven't had any issues, yet. While I'm not a fan of the T-Mobile boot screen and default ringtone, the only bloat I've identified is the Name ID, T-Mobile, and Visual Voicemail apps, which all appear to be uninstallable. It also added the video call function to my dialer, which I'll probably never use but it's neat that it exists...
I say all that because you could just install the T-Mo firmware to your VZW phone and get away with a updating to the beta and uninstalling the bloatware, if you're ok with having the T-Mobile boot screen (ideally, you won't see it much anyways).
Just a thought.

Let me get home tonight and I'll extract it
The U1 version of the oneui 2.0 beta was released yesterday and apparently still being released for many users hopefully someone has the logics to make the update zip out of it and pass it along. Not everyone wants to go through completely wiping their phone and swapping unlocked firmware for a carrier one just to test the beta.

That's not how it works. You won't have tmobile bloat. The firmwares now are all inclusive so it will install bloat depending on your installed sim card. Example, I installed it on my AT&T S10+ and got AT&T bloat. If you install on your tmobile S10, you'll have tmobile bloat.

Assuming that's the case, why not just do the entire install and setup without a SIM, then plug the SIM in after it's complete?
I used that trick on the VZW Pixel and Pixel 2 and was able to avoid them force-locking the bootloader.

Between here and Reddit it's been asked several times if that works and there hasn't been a real answer yet. Yes though, that is the case. It's been that way since one of the major updates on the S8 firmware back when it was still a flagship. The bloat and carrier files it installs are carrier dependent. That's why the total download size of firmware went way up.

Why are there separate S10+ firmware downloads for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon which have different Home_CSC partitions if the Samsung firmware works like you say? Shouldn't all the Samsung S10+ firmware be U1 (the firmware that comes installed on the carrier free version of the S10+) if the carrier bloat is installed via the inserted SIM?
